Consistency destroys optimal. I don’t care if you build the best, most in depth training and nutrition plan the world has ever seen, if you’re not consistent you won’t get the results you’re after. I learnt this from years of inconsistent training approaches. One of the setbacks to this style of training are injuries. You’ll constantly have issues, niggles and injuries because your body isn’t accustomed to the training. The best way to counteract this is to find something you love and enjoy. Stick with it and build a plan. If you don’t love your training [ sometimes yes you’ll hate it ] it will be hard to stick to it for long periods of time. Agility work in 18 Minutes!!! Let’s get the hear rate up a little and work on our ability to be agile on our feet! All you need is a yoga block or towels. Each exercise is 45 seconds of work with a 15 second rest. Repeat the entire set 3 times. Being able to move quickly and in different directions is very beneficial. It challenges our coordination and ability to react to objects in front of us. Adding a little impact also helps keep our bones strong, but you can modify and take out the jumping. My goal with my workouts is to keep my body strong, mobile, agile, and healthy so I can do everyday life easier. I don’t care about the size my body is. I just want to be present & active in life! Day 28 of 28 StoryAthlete GRIT Round 55 - 1540 Days of GRIT - COMPLETED StoryAthlete Principle: “I Reflect On My Results” I never realized, that I’m 3/4 of the way to 2000 days of GRIT??? Ridiculous! Finishing off this 55th round of GRIT, at 1540 days of workig out and writing it out! It might be a few more years, but I’ll probably get to 2000 days of GRIT eventually too! Another 28 days of working out and writing reinforcement posts to and for myself! There were a few days, where it was tight, getting a workout in, but, after 54 rounds of GRIT, there’s almost nothing I’ve not encountered, that won’t stop me now! Ha! Not missing a day, it’s pretty amazing. Kind of like a “perfect” attendance when kids were going to school, eh? Hilarious! And now, it’s definitely a *flex* to have “Perfect Attendance”! Got up to 1340 days of 100 burpees a day, also unbroken streak! And on Day 90 of Strong-Heart push-ups, got to the magical *40* push-ups, that would and should statistically significantly reduce any not-positive heart event! I was so aiming for 50, that I almost forgot, it was 40, that was the research study’s number! Within these past 92 days, I’ve done a total of 2441 push-ups! Whoo! I think my chest has gotten stronger, with the daily push-ups in addition to all my burpees! Like my muscles aren’t getting bigger, but they are getting denser! Good for me! I’m going to have to do something about running a 5 km run this week. I don’t want to miss that weekly staple! Besides, the next major milestone might just be the 4 year anniversary of 100 burpees a day, at the end of August! That’s going to be nuts! Amazing stuff! Regardless, I Keep On Going!
