Did you know that some stress is actually good for you? Low-level stressors actually stimulate the production of brain chemicals called neurotrophins, and strengthen the connections between neurons in the brain. Stress also has the potential to aid in improving your memory for a short period in some circumstances, such as studying for an exam. Enduring small amounts of stress with positive outcomes can also build resiliency. But when does stress become a bad thing? Well, tolerable stress refers to those situations where bad things happen, but the individual has a healthy brain and good support. In these cases, the individual will experience some discomfort but will be able to cope. Finally, toxic stress refers to the situation in which something bad happens to an individual who has limited support and who may already have brain health or mental health difficulties. The severity and duration of the stress are likely greater than with tolerable stress, and the individual's inability to cope is likely to have adverse effects on behavior and physiology. זיכרון🧠 לאחרונה פונים אלי אנשים רבים המתמודדים עם קשיים או ירידה בזיכרון. לכן החלטתי להקדיש פוסט לנושא ולהבין קצת על הדבר הזה שנקרא זיכרון ועל התהליך שעובר במוח. זיכרון הוא תפקוד מוחי החיוני ליכולת הלמידה שלנו של כל פעולה ביומיום, בכך שהוא מאפשר לצבור ניסיון וידע מחוויות העבר ובכך הוא מאפשר להבין ולפרש חוויות חדשות. קשיים בזיכרון משפיעים על התפקוד היומיומי של האדם, לדוגמא- בהתמודדות עם מצבים חדשים או לא שגרתיים, בניהול שיחות עם אנשים בעוד תחומים רבים. הזיכרון שלנו מורכב מ-3 שלבים- ר- רכישה/קידוד המידע- השלב שבו אנו קולטים את המידע, והוא נכנס למוח. א- אחסון המידע- במהלכו נשמר המידע שקודד לטווח קצר וארוך. ש- שליפת המידע- השלב שבו נחפש ונשלוף את המידע מהזיכרון לצורך שימוש. יש חשיבות בהבנת תהליך הזיכרון כדי להצליח להבין ולחדד באיזה חלק בעיקר יושב הקושי, וגם להתייחס ולטפל בהתאם. יש כאלה שיהיו להם בעיקר קשיים לשלוף את המילים/המידע, יש כאלה שתהליך הרכישה לא יהיה יעיל לדוגמא כי לא קשובים/עייפים/טרודים בעת שהמידע צריך להיקלט וזה יהיה המקור לקושי. ואיך יהיה לכם קל לזכור את השלבים האלו? לפניכם ראשי תיבות כפי שאתם יכולים לראות למעלה. האות הראשונה של כל מילה- ר,א,ש יוצרת את המילה ראש. ראשי תיבות זאת דוגמה לאסטרטגיה שיכולה לעזור לזכור. מעוניינים לשמוע על אסטרטגיות נוספות? מוזמנים לכתוב לי ואקדיש פוסט גם לכך. הידעתם שיש סיבות רבות לירידה בזיכרון? מרגישים שיש ירידה בזיכרון ו/או תפקודי חשיבה אחרים? מזהים שינוי והשפעה על התפקוד היומיומי, אליו אתם והסביבה שלכם שמים לב? ממליצה לא להסס ולפנות לבדיקה אצל רופא שמתמחה בתחום (נוירולוג/פסיכיאטר/פסיכוגריאטר), הוא ייתן ייעוץ רפואי. אם יראה צורך בכך הוא יפנה אתכם להערכה מקיפה אצל מרפאה בעיסוק כחלק מתהליך הבדיקה, ובהתאם לאבחנתו יהיה ניתן לבנות תכנית טיפול במידת הצורך. בריאות, הדס #זיכרון #תפקודיםניהוליים #ריפויבעיסוק #memory #executivefunction #occupationaltherapy
