I'M FEELING MY AGE I've not done much moving, apart from walking, over the past few weeks. I've been poorly & life has been totally crazy. I knew I needed time to rest & recover. However..... . ...I've been waking up stiff & it's taking me a little longer to get out of bed. I'm achy & my body cracks like a MF glowstick! And let's not mention the noises I make when I sit down or stand up 😆 I'm feeling old! . It's not that I've aged suddenly, it's that I've stopped moving! I need to start moving & not on Monday..TODAY. OK, maybe tomorrow, but I categorically believe that movement is medicine & it keeps you young. MY DAILY SELF CARE ROUTINE Self care is the 🔑 to not only adding more years to your life but life to your years. The secret to happiness is progress and as long as you are progressing towards your goals your probably going to be happy (generally speaking). If you’re not progressing or don’t have goals, happiness is much harder to achieve. My daily self care routine involves: 🥇Meditation The first thing I do every morning. It sets my intention and focus for the day ahead so that I can start the day with positivity and confidence. 🥇Affirmations A daily reminder of the person I am and who I want to be. My affirmation helps guide my decisions for the day ahead. Am I moving towards my goals or away from them? 🥇Journaling A great way to clear my head. I journal every morning and every evening. What am I grateful for? Goals, Habits, and how I’m feeling are all points I expand upon 🥇Movement Movement is a big part of my life. I try and huff and puff every day, whether it’s in the gym or chasing the boys around the park. 🥇Visualisations I pick one song for the year and listen to it every morning while visualising my perfect day. This year it is woke up in Bangkok because of the chorus “Any road will take me there.” Do you have a daily self care routine? is there anything you do or you’d like to do that isn’t on the list? Wij vrouwen zijn ontzettend krachtige wezens. Als we in contact staan met onszelf en mee werken met de flow van onze natuur dan kunnen we de hele wereld aan. Ik vind het zo ontzettend belangrijk om vrouwen aan de hand mee te nemen en te leren over ons hormonale systeem. We proberen vaak tegen de stroming in te zwemmen, maar wanneer je met de stroming mee gaat, werkt dat gewoon veel beter :) inplaats van je omgeving te willen aanpassen, jezelf en jouw schema aanpassen naar iets dat werkt voor jou. Zodat je in je kracht staat en je powers optimaal benut. Voor mij begon dit jaren geleden. Waar ik me suf kon storen als mijn creativiteit niet stroomde en ik prikkelbaar was, maak ik nu gewoon dubbel gebruik bij mijn creativiteit in bv mijn ovulatie zodat ik dat lekker allemaal los kan laten wanneer de natuur heeft bepaald dat dat voor mij niet stroomt en doe ik andere dingen. Ineens is mijn planning veel efficiënter en sta ik in mijn kracht :) We leven in een mannenwereld, waarbij het systeem hetzelfde draait ongeacht je geslacht. Al zijn we beide compleet anders gebouwd. This embodied reflection was shared by one of my TRE trainees at the end of a recent training and why there is so much love for TRE. Because TRE is considered as "tension" or "trauma" release exercises there is an expectation that the process will be challenging in some kind of way. Yet TRE is one of the gentlest and most efficient ways of meeting and moving through the residue of long held contraction that have originated from physical or psychological activation. It took me a few years of practice to understand that every time we connect to the body using TRE we are returning more deeply to the sacredness of self. As we notice and respond to whatever is moving through we create more awareness, more trust, more respect, more gentleness and therefore a deep connection to our inherent wisdom. TRE really is loving the body (and ourselves) in a language it understands. Thanks Rob! 💚

Neither of these girls know life without the pink drink… That’s how long their Dad and I have been sipping this (and they’ve been stealing sips)😆. But I don’t post much about it anymore because I’ve been feeling a shift. Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of people who want to feel better. And the supplements often help but when it comes to reaching and maintaining health goals, most struggle more with their mindset and staying consistent with “good” nutrition and movement (myself included 🫣). The RDL…from my own personal experience isthe best bang for buck and has helped me with back pain immensely The RDL can be butchered a bit so here are my 3 favourite cues: -At the bottom of the rdl ensure the weight is distributed in the middle of the foot. And how long it takes a new habit to form can vary widely depending on the behaviour, the person, and the circumstances. In Lally’s study, it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit.” According to @jamesclear in his bestseller ‘Atomic Habits’ (a must-read that I’m currently loving), forming new habits isn’t about instant change but consistent effort. Above, Clear cites research from Dr Phillippa Lally, Health Psychology Researcher and her team at University College London. According to Clear, here’s how to tackle a new habit: 1.
