Can I please have the figure back that I had in the first two slides?! I have 4 weeks until my holiday and I would rather like to like to look like this again.... however I know that is unlikely!! 🤣🤣 picture 3 and 4 is my current status. In the first two pictures I was training in the gym 2 - 3 times a week, doing two bootcamp sessions and an advanced functional session. The difference this year is that I am only doing 1 bootcamp, one advanced functional and 3 runs a week alongside the odd gym session. The past two years I have definitely learned that the key to being toned and looking strong is definitely more strength training!! I find the gym boring but I know it's necessary... so back to it I go!! Really need to get back into the routine of going to the gym and getting in my strength training! The girl in the first few clips would have never even imagined she would be where she is today. That girl in the beginning did not believe in herself, she had no idea of the pain, sweat and tears she’d go through. But guess what. She still showed up. Showing up for yourself is the hardest part. Everything else comes after that. Day in and day out she put the work in. She was discouraged at times, proud at others. She had no idea what she was doing at first, and that was the bravest part and first step. She allowed herself to step foot into a whole new world and start from scratch. Starting from the bottom and working her way up to get where she is now. She learned the hard way. She had to show up and be willing to put that work in. No one was gonna do it for her. If she didn’t do it then who would? Everyone is at different spots and journeys in their life. No one is the same, and not everything that may work for one person will work for someone else. Find what works for you. Find something that motivates you. Understand that some days are going to be hard while others may be easy. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Believe and work for it. Don’t “hope” or “wish” anymore. Things don’t happen over night, you have to work to get where you want to be. A super session in the gym. First was elliptical to achieve vasodilation in the legs and warm them up for weights session. So 1 mile at 185watts in 8 mins does the job but not too high intensity to fatigue them too much for weights. Then 40 mins bashing the legs with weights. BEING IN A CALORIE DEFICIT 🍎🍔 . . . If you are looking to drop body fat and and get lean. You NEED to be in a calorie deficit. This simply means your intaking less energy (calories) then what you are burning on a daily or weekly basis. Here’s what you need to know 💡 Everyone’s ‘calorie deficit’ looks completely different. It is defined off scale weight. Daily movement and exercise. Lifestyle choices and of course individual goal set and preferences. You at some point, are GOING to be HUNGRY. It’s a given. The way to combat this hunger is to be smart with food choices and meal timing. Prioritise high protein and high volume foods! You are going to want variety when dieting. Whether this is changing up daily foods or having something ‘off plan’ to keep your taste buds in check. My biggest tip is to enjoy your food choices. Make them taste good and create meals you look forward to eating. Create CONSISTENCY!! Fat Loss just like building muscle, requires a plan and adherence. It is a quicker process in comparison to building muscle. But still requires the same commitment and discipline. ✅ Create a Meal plan or track your calorie intake ✅ Track bodyweight and measurements to determine progress ✅ Create a training routine to further your deficit and maximise fat loss ✅ Be consistent with your routine. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲❗️ Maybe you’re trying 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃 and changing every variable, hoping it will lead you to your dream body and look. You may be putting in 110% effort seven days a week to achieve this goal you set for yourself and burning yourself out to get there. Does this sound familiar? Or something you have done in the past? I get it; many of my clients have been the same before working with me. Maybe that’s why you’re not sticking with it.  Changing every single factor simultaneously makes it ten times harder to stay consistent with an entirely new routine every week, a new nutrition plan to follow, a new meal guide, etc. You might just need to reduce your calories and walk more, change your workouts, increase your strength training day, improve your sleep or water intake, or get a little more rest and recovery. One thing at a time. My point is that you don’t have to do a 180-degree turn with your routine to see progress.  Maybe you need a new perspective and someone to take that guesswork away.  If you resonate with this post, I assure you that you may be doing too much in hopes of reaching that ultimate goal. I promise you there are sustainable ways to reach your fitness and health goals.  You just may need someone else to help you get there. Yesterday didn’t really go as planned but hey sometimes life gets in the way. My plan was to spend the day with my Mum and go to the gym in the afternoon. Haven’t seen Mum properly in ages despite living 5 minutes down the road. Life is so busy and she works too HOWEVER if I can’t find time for her then something is very wrong in my priority list! So we just spent the day together doing not much really just bits and bobs, had a spot of brunch which was nice. My poor baby Stan is limping, so off to an emergency appointment at the vets we went. This took my gym time slot but that couldn’t be helped he’s far more important. By the time I sat down it was 8pm. Stuck to my calories, didn’t make my steps, not going to worry about it, did have a decent nights sleep. Back to maxing out until endurance is in the clear. Then we focus on strength. This is 96.7kg assisted bicep curls, 40 reps & 7 sets with 45 seconds rests in between sets. I would have rounded it up to 100kg but no space for extra weights. #weights #strength #kg
