She did this eating rice DAILY! When Amity reached first reached out to me she was in a hard place. Though health had always been important to her, she had let herself go, was stressed out, and was really struggling with motivation and consistency. 😣 In addition, she wasn't happy with what she was seeing in the mirror and wanted to get her confidence back. She had tried things like keto in the past, but it wasn't sustainable as she LOVES rice/carbs. She even had a full gym set-up at home, but she couldn't seem to gets started and stay on track! Sometimes, getting started in the HARDEST part. I set Amity up with a custom workout routine she could do at her home gym, dialed in her nutrition (allowing her to eat the rice she loves daily), and made sure to keep her accountable! 💪⁣  The result? Amity has killed it! She's had about a 27 lbs swing, -6.5 inches from her waist, has gained considerable strength, increased her endurance, and has been incredibly consistent! It’s time for another grilled recipe that takes very little time to make! This one doesn’t even need to marinate! . GRILLED BBQ COUNTRY RIBS (Serves 6) . Prep time: 15 min, Cook time: 10 min, Total time: 25 min . 3 pounds boneless country style pork ribs 1 Tablespoon brown sugar 1 Tablespoon paprika 1 Tablespoon chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup Rays No Sugar Added Barbecue Sauce . Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel; set aside. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and oil grates. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, salt and garlic powder. Coat ribs in dry rub then place on the grill. Baste ribs with barbecue sauce and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. . Slow & steady wins the race! Strength is coming back now after three weeks of feeling like a zombie. I’m continuing with no elbow sleeves because, at times, I think the sleeves can give you a false sense of where you’re actually at. You’ll get the chance to reset your numbers in the off-season, which is what I’m trying to do here by focusing more on how I do things over trying to get as strong as possible. Of course, getting strong is part of the process, but do you have the muscle to justify the weights that you are lifting? It’s simple really. If you have less muscle than guys twice your size, you probably need to reassess how you’re going to achieve your goal. A lot of workouts and just livin’ life these days! We’re in those crazy years of activities galore and always on the go! My workouts rarely falter, but nutrition can often be a roller coaster 🎢. I control what can and just enjoy the rest! I’ve had years of building habits and systems! I am absolutely NOT a perfect eater and honestly, I don’t want to be! I’m so glad I can enjoy Monday night Chipotle and Wednesday night ice cream. There was a time that this would have completely thrown me on a weekday. I had so many “rules” in place. Dumb, but true. Ok. I'm gonna be completely honest here. Yesterday was a complete write off. I ate so much crap. I had pringles, a giant bar of chocolate, chilli cheese nachos (homemade and I didn't go crazy so not so bad but on top of everything else, not great). That's not why I didn't post yesterday, I was just busy and kept forgetting, and I was helping my son study all day. I just can't control these hormone cravings, it's insane! I haven't had anything like this for probably 10 years, because I had the implant before I had the coil. I've been on my own most of my life so the contraception has always been for medical reasons, purely to stop my pms and period symptoms, so I haven't really had any of my bad symptoms for years now, and I forgot how hard it is to control these bloody cravings. I have ASD, (and I suspect ADHD), and am wildly impulsive at times, and I just cannot control this. Someone help!! Any tips on controlling the hormonal cravings? And the headaches too, I was in bed all day yesterday with a shitty headache! Anyways, today is a new day and my long resistance bands arrived, yay! They are really nice, I wasn't expecting them to have their own little cases! Super cute. I was hoping they would have rubber on the inside to hold them in place but I'm sure I can make it work. I got medium, heavy and extra heavy strength. The long resistance bands I had kept rolling off and hitting me in the face, or rolling down my legs when I was trying to do leg curls so here's hoping I have more success with the fabric ones. I posted what a full workday from home looks like for me in my stories yesterday and y’all asked to see more of what I eat in a day so here ya go! I have been eating at matainance the last 7 months at 2,200 calories a day. This last week I bumped my macros up to 2,350 calories (260 C/70 F/170 P). No particular reason for bumping them up except for I want to make sure I’m eating enough to build muscle and who doesn’t want to eat more food?! I think I missed the mark for a long time that the goal should be to eat as much as you possibly can while being able to reach your goals (whether that’s maintaining your weight or losing fat) rather than trying to eat as little as possible. So we’ll see what happens with these higher numbers but I’m feeling great! I could still be within a range to maintain my weight but I could gain a little too. Won’t know unless you try and are consistent! I’ll stick around here for a few weeks and go from there! Here’s what I ate today: Snack: I have perkenergy every morning when I wake up. I don’t love having a full meal before the gym but the kids ate all my usual protein bites and after logging my meals for the day I realized I needed more fat so had an English muffin 2 Tablespoons offbeatbutters to get in some more fat. Went to the gym and lifted legs! Didn’t have time to do any cardio after but honestly my legs were too tired anyway. 🥵 Breakfast: Chick-Fil-A Egg White Grill an extra egg white strawberry jam. Always. Lunch: Leftovers from last night’s meal plan recipe. Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup (coming out in November’s meal plan) a roll. Snack: builtbar Cookie Dough Puff. My favorite thing they make and now it’s a permanent flavor! Dinner: Chicken Pad Thai Thai Cucumber Salad (both recipes will be in next month’s meal plan too). So easy to make and so delicious! 51 WORKIN LIKE 31 ___________________ Once again, delighted to help another person achieve there goals🙏 This is a recent transformation block completed with Online Client Caitríona. She has increased her muscle mass and gained a pound of muscle while simultaneously getting leaner. The total amount of weight lost was 11 pounds and her body fat levels have dropped by 6% ⬇️ Caitríona is 51 and still working on herself and smashing her goals. She is super inspiring. did the damn thing. 🥵 in the last year, I spent a few months at maintenance (eating around 2300 calories), 6 months bulking (at 2600 calories) and cutting for 3 months (anywhere from 2100-1850 calories). I ended my bulk around 150 pounds and 20% body fat and finished my cut at 134 pounds and 12.6% body fat. not gonna lie, the bulking part is always hard and a little uncomfortable…fun eating all that food until it’s not anymore 😂 but I was able to put on some muscle that I held onto while I was cutting (eating in a deficit to lose body fat). I’ve come a long way the last 6 years. When I lost weight after having my last baby I was so worried about eating more because seeing the scale go up was really scary. I get it! I spent way too long thinking I should only be eating 1500 calories a day and constantly cutting. I promise you’re gonna be a lot happier when you start focusing on getting stronger rather than smaller.
