Hey fam! Curly Sue/Shirley Temple reporting live 😂.. This is me yesterday on one of my many daily walks that I take. Walking has sooo many benefits to the body as many of you know (improves cardio vascular function, boosts immune system, helps with stiffness of the joints/muscles, etc.). Aside from all the things it has really helped with my mental health too, I’m able to clear my mind from all of the annoying/frustrating mental clutter that permeated throughout my mind and really enjoy the rest of the day. I’m able to just be, and feel that sunlight on my skin and the whimsical breeze! Y’all know your gurl loves a good workout too, so I’m able to sweat it out, and it’s hot out here! I also wanted to inform you all that it’s Mental Health Awareness Month and I want y’all to be well! Seek therapy, take the walks, eat well for your body, be kind and show yourself grace, cause life be LIFEING, but there’s peace on the other side! Make this month/year about you! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth K, love y’all, bye!😘

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, it's crucial to continue prioritising mental well-being in the months ahead. So, we asked our very own mental health first aider Alicia to provide 1 helpful but impactful change to implement within the workplace. Here's her advice: "In our daily lives, the language we use plays a crucial role in shaping our mental well-being. Let's swap 'stressful' with 'challenging', 'failure' with 'learning opportunity', and 'should' to 'choose to'. By changing our language we can also promote a more positive mindset and encourage problem-solving. Language matters and this simple shift can make a big difference in how we approach our work and support each other's mental well-being." 💡💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #PositiveLanguage #WorkplaceWellbeing #SupportFromWithin

**Dedication and Hard Work: The Keys to Success** In a world filled with challenges and obstacles, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But remember, it's your dedication and hard work that will pave the way to success. Every great achievement starts with a single step, followed by another, and another. It's not always about talent or luck—it's about the relentless pursuit of your goals and the unwavering belief that you can achieve them. When times get tough, lean on your community for support. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, who uplift you, and who remind you of your potential. Community support is a powerful force; it provides encouragement, offers different perspectives, and helps you stay grounded. Together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone. Never underestimate the power of perseverance. Every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Every failure is a step closer to success. Keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the journey may seem. Trust in your abilities, trust in your hard work, and trust that your dedication will pay off. Remember, success is not an overnight phenomenon. It's the result of consistent effort, determination, and the courage to keep going even when the path is unclear. Believe in yourself, stay dedicated, and let your hard work speak for itself. You have the power to create the future you desire. Keep striving, keep believing, and never give up. --- Feel free to share this post to inspire others in your community and remind them of the incredible power of hard work and perseverance! When we say "SPMIs," we are talking about mental illnesses that are recurrent, long-lasting, and make it hard for you to do your everyday life. Examples include schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression. These diagnoses are more common than you realize, AND there are numerous treatment options including medications, psychotherapy, and self-management strategies (like developing healthy routines, optimizing sleep, recognizing triggers, and learning coping skills). If you are someone with a SPMI, you are not alone. Ellie therapists are here for you. Let's spread awareness and break that stigma. 💪 #normalizeit #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #thereishope

WE HAVE REACHED Day 22! In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to overlook the importance of taking time for ourselves. When stress levels peak, a mental health break can be the reset button we desperately need. It’s not just a day off; it’s a powerful practice to help you reclaim your peace, boost your resilience, and return to life with renewed energy and clarity. If you feel stressed or overwhelmed, give yourself the gift of a Mental Health Day. You deserve it. 💖 ACT NOW! Everyone is different! 💚Opt for cultivars high in cannabinoids and terpenes believed to provide symptom relief 💚Always let your healthcare providers know you are medicating with cannabis. As part of our Mental Health Awareness Month highlights, we hear from our very own Mary: “It took me years to get help for my mental health; being a type one diabetic, I had a chip on my shoulder about what constituted a true health condition. When I had a breakdown in my mid twenties, I finally sought help for the persistent “what ifs” that consumed my being. Nearly seven years later, I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety, OCD, and ADHD and have been on a treatment plan that has kept me ground since.  Maintaining my health - mental, physical, emotional, spiritual - is my main priority and I have to actively work at it. Some days are better than others, but I finally feel moments of pure joy that I wasn’t able to in the past.  Part of staying well is movement. When I move my body regularly, my mind stills. I feel strong, capable, and empowered. That’s why I long being an instructor; I am fully present and get to inspire joy in others while we move together I am happy to grab coffee and talk to anyone who ever feels alone or paralyzed by anxiety (or just loves conversation and coffee). Connection is so important.” @maryclareshakes #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

David Stewart, Sara Riel's Manager of Education and Training, understands the value of peer support. Here are some of the positive effects peer support can have on mental health awareness: - Helps Reduce Stigma: Sharing experiences and having open, compassionate conversations about mental health can help us understand the people in our lives and the struggles they may deal with. - Empowerment: Sharing stories of recovery and success can inspire others to seek help the help they need. - Community: Peer support can foster a sense of belonging and mutual support, creating a safe environment for future connection and sharing. David leads a variety of training opportunities available to the public through Sara Riel, including Livingworks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). This life-saving training equips trainees with the skills to recognize signs of crisis and intervene effectively. 🤍 #panicdisorder #panikstörung #angst #anxiety #radiomoderatorin #ootd #kiel #hamburg #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

💜Isaiah 35:4: "Tell everyone who is discouraged, Be strong and don't be afraid! God is coming to your rescue" ❤️Psalm 46:1-3: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" 🩵Deuteronomy 31:6: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" 💚 John 14:1: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me" 💙Deuteronomy 31:8: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged" God promises peace, presence, and deliverance. Scriptures like Philippians 4:6-7 encourage us not to be anxious but to present our requests to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds. This peace is a powerful promise for those struggling with mental health concerns. What helped me in my time of need was focusing on the things that bring me joy! And prayer 🙏. 🌹 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻 🏝️ ☀️ 👦🏻👦🏻👦🏻 ⚽️ 🌸 ⛪️ 🎶 #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #itsokaytonotbeokay #speakyourtruth #findyourpurpose #focusonjoy #BlessThisMess #lovemyfamily #boymomforlife #flowergirl #beachismyhappyplace #mentalhealthmatters

Over the past nine months, my mental health has been anything but amazing. It can be hard to admit that when you work in the mental health space, but one thing I know is that we don't get to escape being human just because of our profession. We also don't escape the twists and turns and challenges that life throws at us. Life is meant to be both difficult and easy, amazing and heartbreaking. When we don't accept life for what it is and our appropriate responses to it, we fight with our reality and disconnect from ourselves. Scott Peck said, "Mental health is an ongoing dedication to reality at all costs." This wisdom, shared by to me by @brittfrank, has been life-changing and I work daily to embody this. My reality is that I am in a phase of recovery and rest, even when parts of me want to be ambitious and seeking. The gap between my reality and my dreams is wide, and reconciling that truth has been a bumpy road. Last week, in a moment of frustration, I reminded myself of a line from my own playbook, " Respect the recoveries as much as the intensities." Even though I have said this a thousand times, something about it landed differently, and there was a great softening in my soul. In that moment, I accepted how challenging this past year had been and in the same breath, it didn't feel so difficult anymore. It just was. If I have learned anything about stepping into the present moment, whatever that is, it is that you will move through it and find a new moment to face, hopefully with compassion, grace, and deep love for the complexity of what it means to be human. As we move through #mentalhealthawarenessmonth, consider dedicating yourself to the present moment, the truth and reality of what is. Embrace yourself with compassion and tenderness. What's next will come with its own truth so, be here, right now, wherever that is. If you need support, seek support; if you need love, seek love; if you need a witness, be your own and seek a trusted friend. If you are "in it," I see you; I am rooting for you If you are "slaying it," I am celebrating you; keep going Respect where you are today; it is where you are, on the way to where you are going.

Exercise. It's a word some of us love, while others shudder at. But did you know that exercise can play a powerful role in supporting #mentalhealth? Many types of exercise release endorphins, help regulate serotonin, and calm the nervous system. You don't need to become a HIIT workout fiend to get these benefits either- even simple movement such as walking or stretching can make an immense difference. Always consult with your primary or physician before beginning any new type of intervention, but with so many different ways to support mental health through movement we encourage you to explore what is out there for you! #intermountain #nationalphysicalfitnessandsportsmonth #exercise #mentalhealthtips #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

The burnout cycle is vicious and can cause immense feelings of low-self esteem and exhaustion. Here are three practical tips on how to prevent from entering this cycle: 1. Set Realistic Goals and Prioritize Tasks: Break down your tasks into manageable chunks and prioritize them based on importance and urgency. Be realistic about what you can accomplish within a given timeframe and don't overcommit yourself. 2. Practice Self-Care Regularly: Make self-care a non-negotiable part of your routine. Engage in activities that help you relax and recharge, such as exercise, meditation, spending time with loved ones, or pursuing hobbies you enjoy. 3. Establish Boundaries: Learn to say no when you need to and set boundaries around your time and energy. Avoid taking on too much responsibility or working excessive hours, and prioritize your own well-being above all else. Have you experienced the burnout cycle?
