If you have a dream, work, work, work until that dream becomes a reality… Motivation is a feeling, grounded action is what get things done… On the tough days it’s being proud of me and thinking back to why I started that gets me through. Looking back in order to keep on moving forwards.. March 2020 I decided it was time, time to quit the excuses, and just start. Started with home workouts throughout lockdown of which there was many TRX, makeshift weight sessions, and FitOn app workouts to taking the plunge and committing to online coaching in June 2020.. I still remember the first conversation I had with Craig about what my goals were and I would never have thought I would have progressed like I have and achieved what I have which is way more than my initial goal. Craig has pushed me to limits I didn’t think were achievable every time I’d achieve we would reset the bar that little bit higher and with consistency whilst also living life we have achieved a lot. From the girl who doubted her abilities to one who’s preparing to stand on stage. I never thought this would be possible but here we are digging away. For anyone wanting to make a change, learn something new or have a complete change of direction just go for it. HOW MY CLIENT WENT TO THE PSG AREA FESTIVAL FINALS HAVING NEVER COMPETED AT BEYOND ELEMENTARY BEFORE STARTING THIS JOURNEY . . . This lovely lady had competed all of her life in lower-level dressage and eventing and had been very competitive but when the opportunity to compete a schoolmaster came up, she decided she would need some help. Determined to make the most of the opportunity we combined her mindset and ridden work to help her manage her expectations when moving up the levels. As with most riders, the dream is to ride in your tails, but this schoolmaster was only trained to the level below, so there was a lot of technical learning to be done, along with a training plan. This client worked hard to understand new movements, but our biggest change in her training was making her sessions more autonomous, it's easy for us as riders to become reliant on the coach or someone on the ground, but for this rider to succeed at the higher level she needed to be able to draw her own conclusions and reflect effectively so she could be in control of her success. We introduced a training journal and got clear about her aims for each session, and reflected in the journal afterward. Overtime we used the journal as a way of creating pre and post-competition routines to help with the consistency of performance and defining what success for each outing was. By the time that she rode down that centre line in her tails at the finals, she was confident in her ability at the level, she felt like she belonged and managed her expectations brilliantly! This rider not only moved through the levels but learnt positive habits that could be applied in any sphere, at any level, with any horse!! 3.5 weeks post-show!! today I waved goodbye to my hair extensions, the last little piece of competition season that I was holding onto 😂 my scale weight took a huge jump after I enjoyed a few days away in London, eating my bodyweight in good food and doing a ridiculous amount of steps but it has started to come back down again which has left me reassured that I'm not gaining too much fat too quickly 🥲 as much as I enjoyed my time away, I did grapple with food-related guilt the first few days off-plan but have had to remind myself constantly that holidays are for taking time away from being a bodybuilder and that's okay (still managed to get a sick lower session at @muscleworksgym as I had to take the opportunity when it was walking distance from where I was staying!) 3 days back on plan and my hunger hormones seem to have finally regulated which is a very positive sign - food focus only exists in as far as having to remember to eat every few hours and I'm no longer having cravings or issues with sticking to plan; my digestive system is also very happy to be back sticking to foods it's used to 😂 @prepcoachuk gave me permission to start training at 100% this week too and my body is feeling it - being reminded of why I love bodybuilding in every session and with big goals on the horizon I'm waking up excited every day to make that vision a reality 🥹 honestly just buzzing with how positive my post-show experience has been; it's definitely not been easy but as always I embrace the challenges and I've been able to take something positive from every day. that's when you know you're on the right path 🫶🏻 #bodybuilding #figureathlete #athleticfigure #tonedfigure #femalebodybuilder #offseason #femalebodybuilding #competitionprep #buildingmuscle #muscle #girlswholift #vegains #veganbodybuilding #veganbodybuilder #veganlifter #veganmuscle #plantbasedmuscle

🚨As promised here is my raw, fasted update🚨 Just under 3 weeks out from my bodybuilding competition, and I’m feeling very tired physically and mentally but I guess it’s a sign of hardwork. Having a shoulder injury (non training related) really delayed my offseason, so I used the opportunity to focus on my legs and I think the improvement is very noticeable 😅😂💪 🏆 The journey has been challenging, but every bit of dedication, discipline, and hard work is paying off. Prep has me like👀😂 Jokes aside, the mental part of prep has challenged me the most. Not food, not training, not cardio, not even posing (which is for me the most challenging physical aspect). But trying to complete day to day tasks, balancing work plus a whole whirlwind of unexpected complications and personal life issues on top of prep is a constant mental game. Time management has been crucial and I’m still learning. To be clear, this is not a post to complain but to be transparent. I ADORE prep. Yes it’s hard, buts supposed to be. I was ready for that. I knew I’d grow mentally and have to push more than I ever have. That rang more true than I thought possible. I’m about to be in single digit weeks out from my show and I’ve shown myself how much I’m truly capable of. I I make myself proud every single day. I carry it well but that doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy. I’ve just gotten stronger. The self confidence and trust I’ve gained is unmatched. I know now when I tell myself “hey this is what needs to be done” - it’s gunna get done. I love this sport and the challenges it presents everyday. I am grateful for the struggles. I am grateful for every high and every low. I’m soaking up every minute bc it’s flying by. 🌟Physique Update🌟 #CompetitionPrep Start of Week 5 (now) vs Week 1 and a photo from March before my SIBO treatment (I “cleaned” things up a lot at that point!). Age: 43 Height: 5’2” ish Weight: 118.5 lbs vs 122.4 lbs Waist: 22 in vs 23 in Hips: 35.5 in vs 35.5 in Show: 10+ weeks out vs 14+ weeks out - Steps: 13585/day average - my daily step goal is 11k/day🚶🏻♀️. I do wear my fitbit all day, which is why I’m exceeding my step goal! . Cardio: 1️⃣ 30 min fasted walk upon waking every day. 2️⃣ Two 8 HIIT sprint intervals post training per week, followed by 30 min 3-4 incline at 3.5 mph, this was increased today (was 20 min). 3️⃣ Two 45 min MISS at 130 bpm, also increased today (was 40 min). I have been jogging and it feels good! . Macros: We switched things up. I have always had good results doing a high carb day every 4th day (vs a weekly refeed). So I’ll do 3 low days then a high carb day every 4th day. Poverty macros are in full effect! For the most part I am still limiting FODMAPs, dairy, gluten, sugar & artificial sweeteners, especially according to my food sensitivity results. . PEDs: I will increase yohimbine to 7.5mg daily. . Show: I’ll share once a contract is signed! Fingers crossed I’ll be back on stage 4 years to the day from my last show!! . You can't choose your genetics, but you can choose to put in the work. One of my major weaknesses is my core. I've struggled to do core work and basically skipped prioritizing it because it didn't come easy to me right away. I've been incorporating stomach vacuums daily and my core is looking the best it ever has. And what do you know? I never actually hated core work, I hated that I wasn't good at it right away.
