Ubican que el 2021, por todo el tema de que me he enfermado gravemente de como 4 maneras distintas y todas las huevadas que han pasado, he terminado subiendo bastante de peso. He subido como 15 kilos en 3 meses o algo por ahĂ. Y me sentĂa extremadamente fracasada, la verdad. SentĂa que le habĂa fallado a mi existencia misma âď¸ porque el haber bajado de peso luego de haber sido obesa por la mayor parte de mi vida hasta ese momento habĂa sido, de lejos, mi mayor logro. Y no sĂłlo eso, sino que tambiĂŠn--Osea. Si no hubiese llegado al cuerpo al que he llegado en mis puntos mĂĄs flacos, no tendrĂa como la mitad de las cosas que tengo. Estoy bien consciente de eso, por mĂĄs trucho que suene. Haber vuelto a subir casi la mitad del peso que habĂa perdido era el fracaso mismo que estaba volviendo a consumirme, como haciĂŠndose la burla de mi incompetencia para vivir. Era horrible. Y me he deprimido durĂsimo, tambiĂŠn por eso, les confieso. . Me veo bien hecha mierda en prĂĄcticamente todas las fotos de esas ĂŠpocas (osea, de prĂĄcticamente todo el 2021 jajs đĽ´). Incluso ahorita, ya sin la parcialidad del estrĂŠs del momento que ha hecho barbaridades con mi â¨ya de por sĂ frĂĄgil⨠auto-estima, me veo en las fotos y me doy algo a mĂ misma de lo cagada que estaba đŹ ReciĂŠn ya en el Ăşltimo trecho del aĂąo siento que he empezaado a recomponerme. Y tal vez ni siquiera fĂsicamente porque me veo, ponte, acĂĄ, y sigo cualquier cosa, pero ya, asĂ, emocionalmente. First post-chemo haircut! Scroll for a couple âbeforeâ pics. I lost over 75% of my hair in this process. Finally feel like Iâm getting some style back after months of hiding under hats and scarves. Not that Iâm getting rid of those - they are SO useful! Through this whole chemo treatment, Iâve had to adjust how I live in my body, adjust how I see myself. Going through breast cancer treatment has allowed me to build flexibility with my body I didnât know I lacked. Energy, shape, hair, ability⌠all of it has gone through a shape-shift I wasnât expecting and frankly, wasnât sure I could handle. cravings are not the enemy đ¤ as we head into the holidays, i know food and body image can become difficult subjects. weâre entering a period of more rest, more travel, more intimidate events with potential for toxic conversation. less control over what we eat and how we move. more surrender, less routine. when i transitioned to an intuitive eating lifestyle my whole life changed. one vital shift i made was unlearning that cravings should be suppressed. that theyâre bad. that weâre not not âsupposedâ to crave âunhealthyâ foods. the holidays are a time where my love for food deepens. food becomes more than food. itâs a means of connecting, of showing love, of participating in culture, in building memories. iâll be honest, the second the weather gets cold i begin craving alllll the sugary sweets and decadent dessertsâŚ. and i used to hate myself for this. i thought it was a sign of weakness. iâd deny myself dessert for the entire season in the name of âhealthâ, when really this was the unhealthiest thing i could do for my mind and heart. now, i eat what i want when i want it. i eat knowing that i can always have more later, which removes the pressure of only being âallowedâ to have that food right now. i eat and i move on, stripping that food of its power to mentally consume me for days afterwards. easier said than done, but the only way out is through đ #foodfredom #bodyimage #bodylove #holidays #holidayseason #mentalhealth #intuitiveeating #cravings #food #balance #healthylife #thatgirl #wellness #healing #nyc #bagel #nycfood #nycbagel #travel #greece

Until I realised that the reason my body didnât look like the ones I saw plastered all over social media was because their bodies didnât even look like that all of the time eitherâźď¸ because whilst yes that is their body, theyâre POSING, and in normal lives their body also moves, fluctates, bloats and changes. AND THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NORMALđđť Donât get me wrong, Iâm all for a pose and a flex and of course we love to see the gains and the defined muscles, but itâs 2024 so letâs learn to normalise NORMAL bodies abit more, and embrace our bodies at all angles or in all posesđŤśđť And please, if thereâs one thing to take away from this post itâs that most influencers donât look like you think they do 100% of the time. 10 maanden geleden werd ik mama & startte mijn postpartum journey. Tijdens mijn zwangerschap kwam ik behoorlijk aan, namelijk ruim 23 kilo đ. Van een actief persoon in de fitness die eindelijk wat tevreden was met haar shape, ging ik na de bevalling naar een lichaam dat zwaar uit balans was en alles behalve fit eruit zag. Ik heb enorm veel bewondering voor het vrouwelijk lichaam en waar het toe in staat is & mijn lichaam heeft mij het mooiste gegeven voor mijn hele leven 𼰠Afgelopen maanden hebben enorm veel pieken en dalen gekend en die werden voornamelijk veroorzaakt door de onzekerheid die ik ervaarde rondom mijn lichaam & het ongeluk wat ik mentaal ervaarde đ. Ondanks dat ik vanaf 3 maanden p.p startte met sporten en letten ging op voeding veranderde er vrij weinig qua lichaam. Tot ik vanaf midden januari het plan volledig omgooide en sinds dien elke dag consistent ging werken aan mijn doele đŻn. Ik wilde mij fysiek sterker voelen, trots zijn op mijn lichaam zoals ik dat voorheen meer voelde & een fitte, maar vooral gelukkige mama worden voor Ivy! Inmiddels ruim 4 maand verder ben ik 21,5 kg kwijt, kijk ik met trots naar mijn lichaam en waardeer ik wat ik zie, ervaar ik mentaal enorm veel happy vibes 𫶠Ondanks de periodes van enorme vermoeidheid, geen zin/motivatie ervaren en andere excuses, is consistent zijn toch echt hetgeen wat je brengt bij je doelen. Sometimes our biggest bully is the voice inside our own head đ§ Just because you have a thought doesnât mean itâs true! Something that can be super helpful is to recognize that voice as someone else talking to you and respond to it. If your inner voice is telling you âyour arms are too bigâ you could respond with something like âthat was rude. My arms help me to carry my kids and I accept themâ. Little physique update. Sitting around 230-235 daily. Full disclosure. Iâve talked about this before but I just want to restate how important trusting the process is and building a healthy relationship and your training is. I stepped off stage last year knowing I had a lot of work to do in order to make the dreams I have in bodybuilding a reality. Growing meant I was going to gain weight and some of that was going to be body fat. When I started my journey in the gym about 10 years ago I knew once I got lean I didnât ever want to go back or gain weight again. Since then Iâve adapted a lot of different training styles and learned a lot about my body and what works for me. Bodybuilding has taken that to levels I never thought possible. Itâs also taught me to keep working hard but not to be so hard on myself. I struggle with self doubt and self criticism a lot. I rarely walk away happy with myself about things and always want to do more or better. This last long season of growing and looking in the mirror trying to see through surface level and what the package is gonna be like next show has been a huge mental battle. Itâs worth it though. Weâre just getting started.
