This it..today is race day!!!! Yesterday I was feeling those nerves but I found some quotes that made me rethink... nervous and excited do have the same internal feeling so I'm going with the positive amd telling myself I'm excited... and I'm gonna keep on telling myself right up until the finish line!!! OK, after a personal setback that took months off my life in many ways, I am back with one main goal: Get healthy. Today I started by going to the gym and getting on the erg with my daughter. She blew past me, but she’s a rower and I’m out of shape, so I’m cutting myself a break. I FINALLY GOT MY OWN CAR! 🚙🌻 . 🔥The backstory: Almost a year ago I made the difficult and scary decision to put roots down here in Washington and put my RV up for sale. . 🔥The expectation was that it would sell quickly and I would use the money to buy a car. . 🔥Well, life doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to and most things are out of your control. . 🔥The RV still hasn’t sold. Things were getting really hard without my own vehicle. I was praying, working, saving, networking, doing everything within my control to make things work but it just wasn’t coming together. . 🔥🔥🔥Until this week… . 🔥A comment on the right social media post and being friends with the right people, at the right time… by the grace of God and the generosity and help of some amazing humans… led to a vehicle behind dropped off at my house on Thursday. . 🔥Things aren’t perfect. Finances are still tight. I’m working my ass off to keep my head above water. But it’s a start! A step in the right direction!! . 🔥This is a breath of fresh air. A light at the end of the tunnel. When I say I’m full of gratitude, it’s an understatement. I’ve cried more times out of happiness in the last 2 days than I have out of despair in the last 2 months. . 🔥🔥🔥Moral of the story: . If you’re struggling, keep going. Don’t give up. Keep praying. Ask for help. Be patient. Trust the process. Well this is it. One of the biggest moments of my life. My future, my joy, my happiness, my purpose. Becoming who I am meant to be. The training is done, the hours are done, tears have been shed over the last couple of years, I persevered time and again, I coached while I felt sick from nerves, @breakfreebebetter got me through the many many times I wanted to give up. My application to the International Coaching Federation to be accredited as part of the world leading gold global standard has been SUBMITTED. Including a recording of a coaching session for evaluation. It feels surreal. I will be part of an elite group. My mentor coach said “Solid ACC level coach - positive presence, great ability to ask questions, to hold space, to be there, great pacing”. Feeling confident this will be accepted and then it’s exam time. I’ve come so far. Still sitting in bed after spending all morning getting the long application completed.
