THE HOLY APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST MARK On May 8th, we honour the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark. St Mark the Apostle is the author of the second Gospels which he wrote shortly before the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70. Mark was not among the original disciples of Christ, so he wrote it based on what he learned from St Peter the Apostle. Data on St Mark’s life is found mostly in the Acts of the Apostles. He was St Barnabas’ cousin and was referred to as John. We know that his mother Mary owned a home in Jerusalem which was used as a meeting place for the Apostles (Acts12:12) and where they stayed after the Ascension. It is thought this might have been the ‘upper room’ where the Last Supper was held. St Mark was seized by pagans when he was serving a Liturgy in Alexandria. ▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ 💎تفسير الآية: { مِنْ مَحَارِيبَ } وهو كل بناء يعقد, وتحكم به الأبنية, فهذا فيه ذكر الأبنية الفخمة، { وَتَمَاثِيلَ } أي: صور الحيوانات والجمادات, من إتقان صنعتهم, وقدرتهم على ذلك وعملهم لسليمان { وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَوَابِ } أي: كالبرك الكبار, يعملونها لسليمان للطعام, لأنه يحتاج إلى ما لا يحتاج إليه غيره ، " و " يعملون له قدورا راسيات لا تزول عن أماكنها, من عظمها فلما ذكر منته عليهم, أمرهم بشكرها فقال: { اعْمَلُوا آلَ دَاوُدَ } وهم داود, وأولاده, وأهله, لأن المنة على الجميع, وكثير من هذه المصالح عائد لكلهم { شُكْرًا } للّه على ما أعطاهم, ومقابلة لما أولاهم { وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ } فأكثرهم, لم يشكروا اللّه تعالى على ما أولاهم من نعمه, ودفع عنهم من النقم والشكر: اعتراف القلب بمنة اللّه تعالى, وتلقيها افتقارا إليها, وصرفها في طاعة اللّه تعالى, وصونها عن صرفها في المعصية 🔮حصاد التدبر: ﴿ اعمَلوا آل داوُود شُكرا ﴾ ✏كل طاعاتك هي تجليات للشكر؛استثمر هذا المعنى في ثنايا كل أعمالك ✏“الشكر بالعمل” نوع الشكر الأرفع أتى في سياق نفع الناس ، وتشييد الحضارة “وجفان كالجواب وقدور راسيات” ✏شكره بالعمل وهو أعظم الشكر وأقله تطبيقا ✏يكون حمد الله على نعمه بذكره وإقرار فضله ، وشكره عليها يكون ؛ بتوظيفها فيما يرضى من القول والعمل ✏﴿ وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُور ﴾ ⬅تريد أن تكون عبداً مميزاً ؟ كن شكوراً بعملك وقلبك ولسانك ⬅المفلح من تذكر نعم الله عليه وشكرها ⬅الحمد يكون بالقول ﴿وقالوا الحمد لله﴾ والشكر يكون: بالقلب ﴿أبوء لك بنعمتك علي﴾ واللسان ﴿وأما بنعمة ربك فحدث﴾ والعمل ﴿اعملوا آل داود شكرا﴾ ⬅ما أقسى هذا الخطاب الإلهي حتى مع جحودنا لشكره يضمّنا تحت جناح عبوديته ربي اجعلنا من الشاكرين ⬅كن من القلة الذين يشكرون(وقليل من عبادي الشكور) 🔹ومن القلة الذين يعلمون(ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون) 🔹ومن القلة التي تحب الحق(وأكثرهم للحق كارهون) ⬅لا تحزن إذا لم تجد لإحسانك أثرًا في نفوس الآخرين... هكذا فعلوا مع الله من قبل حتى قال عنهم: ﴿ وقليل من عبادي الشكور ﴾ ⬅ومقام الشكر جامع لجميع مقامات الإيمان، ولهذا كان أرفعها وأعلاها وهو فوق الرضا…، ولهذا كان الإيمان نصفين: نصف صبر ونصف شكر، والصبر داخل في الشكر، فرجع الإيمان كله إلى الشكر، والشاكرون هم أقل العباد #قرآن#آيات#تأملات_قرآنيه#تدبر#حصاد_التدبر #faith #quran#كتاب_القرآن_تدبر_وعمل#تفسير_السعدي#سورة_سبأ #Surah_Saba

This is part of my testimony of being institutionalized after a psychotic episode . The end is the best part. By 15 I’d been in rehab twice. I’m surprised I lived through the lethal combination of drugs; mushrooms, ecstasy, coke, weed, pills, whatever I could get my hands on. Yet by 17 I stopped with ease. Gave it to a “higher power” and it was done. But the anxiety, depression and panic attacks remained. In my twenties I continually went to the hospital thinking I had serious health problems, but was told it was panic attacks, given Xanax and sent home. After a while my mind was foggy and I did not want to be on those pills, so I threw them away and ended up in psychosis. I was hospitalized in the mental ward with no one understanding what was wrong. I was heavily medicated and given the diagnosis of bipolar with psychotic features. I was so doped up on meds and also had a side effect of meds induced Parkinson’s that was not found out until weeks after leaving the hospital. I also later found out that one of the nursing staff told a family member I was schizophrenic. Not true and also a violation of my HIPPA rights. I learned later in life the danger of abruptly stopping benzodiazepines(Xanax )According to a documentary with Lisa Ling, the medication needs to be slowly tapered down or a psychotic episode could ensue . Episode The Benzos Crisis by @lisalingstagram What sticks out is, even in the hospital where I was in and out of delusions, the highest I’ve been in my life based off the combo of drugs I was on, do you know what I did- 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 I asked a staff member for a Bible and the next day he brought me one. I sat in the corner reading it during my stay . That same angel of a man coached me into sitting up straight and looking the psychiatrist in the eye so they’d let me out. It worked. I won’t go into all the details of that hell on earth experience but I will tell you that I made it through by praying and reading the word. It’s taken many many years of therapy and the grace of God to even be able to tell parts of this story.
