A FOND FAREWELL Kajal and Sanjit (Teddy) met Paramahamsa Vishwananda in Nairobi more than 25 years ago. Very quickly, a bond formed between them. Kajal said it was as if they had known each other for a very long time, and ‘the house became like heaven on earth with Him on every visit.’ When Guruji asked if the couple had children, Kajal said no. An incident with a coconut led Guruji to tell them, ‘Keep cool and listen to Me. God wants Me to become your son. How about that?’ Kajal said, ‘That’s fine, it’s cool.’ Then Guruji warned them that they would have to face a lot of things having Him as their son. Kajal said, ‘For you, anything!’ And so Guruji adopted them as His spiritual parents, and they welcomed Him in as their son. One day, Bindu told Kajal, ‘I’ve given Him birth, but you are His Yashoda Maiya.’ When Guruji came to visit, He would give one-on-one darshans from 9:00 a.m. until midnight every day. Often 400-500 people would come to the house each day. Over the years, the couple witnessed many miracles and had amazing experiences with Guruji: miraculous healings and manifestations of vibhuti, Amrit, lingams, and more. In an interview done in April 2023, Kajal said, ‘I spend my time sitting in my mandir with Him. He’s my companion. I talk with Him. He’s like my mom, dad, everything to me. Anything I have, I just go in the mandir and sit with Him for hours and hours.’ Kajal said, ‘He is still my Visham and that bond will never break because that is the grace from the Ultimate.’ In her final words in the interview, Kajal said, ‘No matter whatever comes to you, no matter what He is teaching, however He is testing you, don’t leave Him. Hold on to Him.’ Teddy agreed, ‘No matter what, stick to Him, because He is precious.’ Kajal left her body on 14 April 2024. Online Self Improvement is a bit of a scam… That is a little bit contradictory especially reading that on an instagram accounting promoting fitness growth; but hear me out and please read this whole post. The reality of self-improvement online is that it will never allow people to truly ascend because a lot of the solutions people offer are collective solutions to individualistic problems. It’s like building the perfect house but you’re avoiding the fact that the house has been, and still is on fire. I’ve been down the rabbit hole of self-improvement and believing that I can change if I read the right books, learn the right habits, workout, eat clean, meditate. But the reality is, online self-improvement is selfish and narcissistic. The common thing I hear people say is: “You should improve yourself for yourself and not for other people.” But that confirms to me that, self-obsession and narcissism are just the natural responses to a lack of identity, both culturally and on an individual level. True masculine archetypes aren’t built on infinite growth or dominance over others or self-obsession but SACRIFICE and SELFLESS DEVOTION. Why use the abilities that God knows you’re capable of just to use them to show you’re better than everyone else? The solution to our deepest problems isn’t found on the internet. Instead, it lies in embracing our identity in Christ. Through Him, we find purpose, meaning, and the capacity to serve others selflessly. Let’s shift our focus from self-obsession to finding fulfillment in Him, knowing that true transformation begins with surrendering to His love and guidance. Luke 10:25-37. In this parable, a man is left beaten and robbed, ignored by religious leaders who pass by. Yet, it’s the Samaritan, an outsider to the community, who shows compassion and selflessness by caring for the wounded man. We especially enjoyed Tyler’s “Adult Message,” which took the place of our “Children’s Message” about how Mt. Hermon feels like home to him and Luke’s sermon about how important it is to maintain a strong relationship with God. Luke used an easel to draw things to help us remember what God sends to help us every day. We see God in our lives with things like church, the cross and the Bible.
