This month at my church WellSpring Global Fellowship, I have the pleasure of leading our welcome. As I stood before our congregation last week, greeting everyone, I returned to my seat and Jiraiya said, “Momma, you did it! You prayed for us.” Though I hadn’t uttered a prayer audibly, he saw it as such because we were welcoming in the Holy Spirit. This Sunday, as I stepped forward to extend the welcome once more, Jiraiya proudly said to another child, “That’s my mom,” loud enough for everyone to hear. I remember the overwhelming feelings that swept over me when I discovered I was pregnant with Jiraiya. As time passed and my belly swelled with life, my earnest prayers to God were for guidance to become a praying mother. I knew I couldn’t navigate motherhood without Him by my side. God answered those prayers by developing that very aspect within me, and Jiraiya gets to witness firsthand how God is refining and shaping me. Spiritual moms are the ones who care and love on other mom’s children as if they are their own. Not only within the church but outside the church as well. I received a tulip today, at my church for being a spiritual mom. 🌷 Such a simple and little gesture that really gave me joy, comfort, and peace. I’m not a mom yet but it really touched me. I thought I was “too young” to be considered something close to this or a mentor. Which I felt God tell me that age doesn’t hider being a spiritual mom. I don’t know if I’ve heard of this term before but now I hold it close to my heart. That is why I decided to share, encourage, and celebrate other spiritual moms like me. Here’s to you!
