2 weeks & 3 days since I delivered babe and here we areโฆ I started at 135 lbs, pre-pregnancy Topped out at 164 at 38wks Delivered an 8lb .09 oz baby And now Iโm weighing in at 147. Now mind you, Iโm also breastfeeding and these suckers have nearly more than doubled in size! Iโm 34. This should be hard. I should have weight all over me. I should be struggling to lose it and it shouldnโt come off this quickly. It should take me years of trying various pills, pink drinks, diets and doctor visits to finally drop 10lbs. But itโs not. Why? Because I managed pregnancy with whole foods. I intentionally ate to feed baby the nutrients we both needed to have a healthy pregnancy which led to me only gaining weight in my belly, not all over. In turn, causing me to lose the majority of what was gained during delivery and in the afterbirth. Again, Iโm 34. My metabolism and hormones should be so shot that ppa/ppd should setting in. But thanks to a natural delivery process, the healing and recovery process is moving along a lot quicker, allowing me to move and get outside.
