If you are like most of us time is a precious entity and often there does not seem to be enough of it. Below are some ideas to save you time and your waistline from having to choose from other options which you may regret later. 1. Wrap it up Wraps are easy and delicious meal choices. Simply select your favourite whole grain wrap and add a slice of cheddar cheese with a small can of no added salt backed beans and a handful of salad veggies and ¼ of an avocado and done! For extra deliciousness I recommend toasting the wrap. If you are stuck out at the shops you can buy cheese pre-sliced, lean meat from the deli already sliced and salad pre-cut and washed from most local supermarkets. You will save yourself money and calories too by making your own wrap rather than buying one from the food court which are often filled with unhealthy sauces and fillings without whole grain wraps. 2. Smoothie love Smoothies can be packed full of nutrition if you are feeling adventurous. Try mixing low fat milk and yogurt with your favourite fruit like banana or berries and make the meal complete by adding ½ cup of oats and even some baby spinach leaves and some avocado for a dose of healthy fat. If you have just finished a workout this meal can be a quick and easy way to replenish your muscle glycogen stores if oats are included as well as help your muscles repair from the protein in the milk and yogurt. Your body does go through stress when exercising and the antioxidants in the fruit and vegetables will remove and reduce this impact on your body to help you recover to your best. 3. Pita Pizza Who doesn’t like pizza? Simply use a whole grain pita bread and spread tomato sauce on top, add your favourite toppings and around 40g of reduced fat cheddar cheese. Then cook in the toaster over for around 3 minutes and bon appetite! This meal is complete with a serve of whole grain, lean meat alternative from the cheese and a serve or more of vegetables and tomato sauce. 4. I always recommend women take a bit more of a notice of their menstrual cycle to help them to understand their bodies a little better Knowing when you are going to be have your period, how long your cycle is and what is normal for you can help you know your body a little more and be able to adapt throughout the month Hormones also go up and down throughout the month so recognising when you are going to be feeling a little down, or when you have more energy, can help you plan social events And due to these hormone changes, we also have a change in our hunger throughout the month. Throwing it back Thursday This was my favourite look across the shows last competitive season - and no my face is WAY more moon like now in comparison 😂 Thing about off season as a girl is that we never look jacked - we look “fluffy and frumpy”, we have a rounder face and chubbier cheeks where as men can still looked pumped with bulging shoulders and a broad back (yes us women have the short straw) BUT that’s the difference between men and women - we be different but we still have to gain a bit of fluff to gain the physique we want and to elevate our health metrics after being depleted for a prep. My face maybe chubby right now but the chub will come off again when the dieting time comes around - I look at it this way… some days I’ll feel BIIIIIG but other days ill feel WHAM - and my mum still prefers pinching my chubby cheeks like a toddler… so I’ll take that win while I can 💜🖤💙

I know I say this a lot the few that read my posts constantly. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for listening to my broken record, but I’ll continue to share every single day because I think it’s important to those who may just be here for the day or new to the party. it’s not about how fast you can lose the weight, it’s about are you willing to put in the work no matter how long it takes to create a lifestyle to where you can see the results and keep them . i’ve worked with thousands of women throughout the years and one of the biggest reasons women want to give up on this journey is because they’re not physically seen results as fast as they would like. I have talked many women down off the ledge of quitting and throwing their hands up, and I always tell them , just keep going. We’ve got this. I promise trust the process and in a few weeks you’re gonna be so happy you didn’t quit. i’ve had to have the same conversation with myself trust the process keep going . in a world full of instant gratification, I want you to remember progress takes time there’s so much that goes into it. But remember, there’s so many ways to measure your progress. how your clothes are fitting? are you sleeping better? do you have better bowel movements? are you losing interest? are you feeling happier? are you lifting more? Are you feeling stronger? has your stamina increased? are you feeling more positive? are you consciously making healthier choices? I don’t share my transformation photo to be like look at me. Ultra-processed foods, which are produced by big food companies have been linked to over 32 chronic health issues in a recent study. UPF is usually high in added sugars, unhealthy fats, sodium, and artificial additives while lacking essential nutrients and fibre, vitamins, and minerals. Overconsumption of ultra-processed foods is associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and many other chronic conditions. I listened to a very interesting talk with Dr Chatterjee and Dr William Li yesterday, and Dr Li said that 'power is in the pocket of the consumer' and I couldn't agree more! The power to drive change towards healthier foods really does lie in the pockets of the consumer. By making informed purchasing decisions and prioritising whole, minimally processed foods, we can all influence food companies to produce healthier options. Consumers can drive demand for more transparency in labelling, advocate for stricter regulations on food additives, and support brands that prioritise nutritional quality and sustainability, and this how the change will occur. This increase triggers an equal rapid and high insulin production to move glucose (sugar) into cells for energy or storage. BAKED SWEET POTATO WITH CHIPOTLE BEAN CHILLI & HOT HONEY HALLOUMI To make this a quick dinner, batch cook the below or any chilli and freeze into portions so all you have to do is heat the chilli while potato is in oven and fry off the halloumi. NEED - 1 large sweet potato to bake FOR THE CHILLI 1 carton black beans rinsed 1 jar @boldbeanco chickpeas (or any) 1 large courgette chopped 1 large pepper chopped 1 onion diced 2 cloves garlic crushed 1 carton passatta 1 veg stock pot Cumin Smoked paprika Chipotle chilli powder Oregano Fresh coriander Dash balsamic vinegar Halloumi - sliced Runny honey Chilli flakes Pomegranate seeds Put your sweet potato in oven after piercing several times and rubbing with olive oil cook for roughly 30-40 mins @ 180 To make the chilli saute the veg & crushed garlic in a table spoon of olive oil until soft Add the spices stir through and add passatta along with stock pot and dash balsamic, cook for 10-15 mins then add chickpeas and black beans and leave to simmer For the halloumi - place slices in a hot pan and drizzle over the honey and chilli flakes turn once underneath is golden. Sourdough toast topped with avocado, cottage cheese, tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper 🤌🏻 So many people are afraid of bread, but I think if you consume the right kind of bread (like sourdough) there’s absolutely nothing to worry about (unless you’re celiac, obviously). Sourdough undergoes natural fermentation which improves digestibility and lessens it’s impact on blood sugar while also enhancing the bioavailability of nutrients. Avocado is a powerhouse food containing monounsaturated fat (the good kind!!), fibre and phytosterols (which help block the absorption of cholesterol). Cottage cheese… I could go on and on and on about my love for cottage cheese, but I’ll leave it at PROTEIN for now. Tomatoes are full of antioxidants and lycopene, which both support DNA and decrease the development of cancer cells. 🥑🥑🥑
