#75Hard day 18 complete. Making this post 48 hours fasted. No food. Only water. I'm still following my training plan and doing two workouts a day. I'm the gym I feel strong and running/boxing outside tonight, I felt great. The only time I've felt horrible doing this was this afternoon around 4pm after staring at my work computer all day. This is like the 5th 72-hour fast I've done in a year. I know people that always tell me they're interested in fasting and ask how I do it. I explain the process... Don't put food in your mouth for 72-hours and drink a gallon of water per day... No one else I know has done it. Let alone worked out while doing it. Once you realize it's possible and that you actually feel better doing it, it's hard to take anyone seriously when they tell you, "Well I'm gonna start with intermittent fasting of 14 hours and see how that goes." During one of my fasts last year, I was at the tail end of 72-hours and one of my friends was like, "Dude! If you keep going overnight, I'll start mine right now." I agreed, kept going and went to 88 hours. No joke, my friend texted me the next day and said he gave up in the middle of the night and ate a midnight snack. Dude couldn't even make it to the next morning even though he had dinner that night. I tell this story as an example of the weak mindsets that plague our society. It's easy to be strong when everyone else so easily caves to their first world problems. I don't even consider myself special by any means. I'm doing this challenge because I've allowed myself far too many setbacks. I constantly see the progress I could be making, but I let it go for what? Fruity Pebbles and chocolate peanuts? My wife @bodybyjogger has shown me up multiple times now by running ultramarathons and sticking to her plans.
