🌧️ Outdoor low bar Calisthenics, garage push exercises, hitting the 5:30am sesh, it was raining a little then it rained a lot 🌧️ Swipe for exercises 👈🏻 & read the detail below. These are exercises are split into two routines. Hit 3 sets of each routine. Routine 1 2 x muscle ups, 10 x SBD’s, 10 x pull-ups, 20 alt box step ups, 20 pushups, 10 x burpees. Routine 2 10 x chin-ups, 15 x box jumps, 10 x burpees So, I am still carrying an injury, working around it as best as possible & really focussing on form. This workout was tough, in honesty I wanted to do 5 sets of the 1st routine but it wasn’t happening today. The bar attachments are a godsend to me at the moment, I can’t do straight bar pulls aside from muscle ups without pain, whack these on the bar & it’s completely different. Thoroughly recommend them, mine are @mostgrip.co very reasonable price and well worth it. The pathway to what is most real in your life is through the hardest things you’ll ever do - Jordan Peterson . . . 1️⃣-4️⃣ Week 5 after total left shoulder replacement 5️⃣-6️⃣ Week 6 after total left shoulder replacement 7️⃣ It’s been a while since I’ve used the rings, and it will be a couple more months before I can train on them again, but Issac is keeping them occupied for now 🥰 8️⃣ I’ll be walking Lisa (middle) down the aisle May 25th. Kelly, Lisa and Therese - my girls ❤️ 9️⃣ My Mom is on the right. She passed away 2 days after my left shoulder replacement. On Saturday March 23, one day after my surgery, I sat by her side and told her how well it went and how happy I was. Although she couldn’t speak, she just squeezed my hand and I knew she was waiting for me to tell her I was ok. The following morning she went home to her Father in heaven. I lost my Mama and my best friend, but heaven gained a great soul. Saturday highlights, some chest & triceps gains with some big(ish) dipping 💪🏻🔥I did warm some warm up sets then hit a 50kg dip attempt, I haven’t been able to try this much weight as my other rig can’t take it but the bars can!! Strength & power workout 💪🏻 4 rounds of this will do the trick ✅ Made the most of some early evening sun & smashed this workout. Perform the exercises back to back for 4 rounds. Rest 20-30 seconds between exercises & a couple minutes between rounds. 1. Dips x 10 +20kg 2. Pseudo planche to regular pushup x 8 complete reps 3. Alt prisoner lunges x 30 (15 each) 4. Close grip plank combo x 8 complete reps 5. It was my 66th birthday on Sunday, April 14th. Grandkids make it fun 🥳 2️⃣ After 3 weeks post-op total shoulder replacement surgery, I am cleared to let my arm hang and to limit what I hold to 10lbs, so why not lunge to some tunes 🤷‍♂️ 3️⃣ Working core, I don’t want to lose anything I’ve worked for during this rehab time. 4️⃣ Unilateral shoulder work - all the concentration has to be on not tensing up the left shoulder while lifting. 5️⃣ My 4 year old granddaughter walks by this picture in the basement and says “Who’s that”? I said “That’s me, your Pappi, when I was in college!” She looked at the picture, then looked back to me, and then pointed to the picture again and said “I like you better this way.” 🙄 I said “So do I Cecilia, so do I” 🫤😖😭 6️⃣ She shows up in the gym every time I decide to workout - keeping an eye on me so I stay “compliant” and use my sling 😩 7️⃣ I am quickly becoming that grandparent 😝 8️⃣ We still don’t know who got the piece with the spit on it 🤣 Have a great week of training everyone, and just remember - - Age doesn’t matter unless you’re cheese 😎 #ageisirrelevant #ageisjustanumber #ageless #cali4community #thewayback #afterinjury #smarttraining

Rehabilitating with Rings ⭕️ Gymnastics rings pull workout. Swipe 👈🏻for exercises, read why I recover with rings and check the detail out below 👇🏻 I find rings great for recovery if I’m recovering from elbow/tendon pain in the forearm, because the rings aren’t fixed like a bar I don’t get the pain or aggravation in the elbow/forearm. After lifting for 20min then doing 40 pull ups and 70 push ups 💪 ➡️ 4min baseline for my dead hangs from here on out. At the beginning of Jan this year I barely could hang on for 2min. 🤕 Push & Core Workout & taking a little break 😞 Check out these exercises, great for the upper body & core. Swipe for exercises 👈🏻👈🏻 aim for 8-10 reps each exercise & 3-4 rounds. Muscle up Monday with my best set in quite a while. I applied some tips and tricks, as well as some tape for my hands and forearms which keep getting torn up from the grip and transition.
