Now that I've completed my 2024 bodybuilding season, I'm excited to shift my focus to my 2025 building season. This morning, I stepped on the scale and saw that I weighed 125.9 pounds. After taking a week off to rest and recover, I feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle my next fitness goals. My plan is to train six days a week and incorporate 30 minutes of steady-state cardio into my routine. I'll keep Saturday as my designated rest day, but I may switch it up and take Sundays off instead, depending on my schedule. ·12 hour work day, came home, had some time with the family, helped get a few things done in the house, had something to eat, kissed my daughter goodnight, drug myself into my gym to hit my workout that I had zero motivation for. ·It's not supposed to be easy. No one cares that I hit my workout tonight or not. No one cares about what it took you to get there. They only clap for you when they see the end product. ·They say showing up is 50% of the battle. I say that's bullshit. It's easy to show up. I can show up and still perform like shit. I can show up and still half ass it. I can show up and still just go through the motions. You might as well just give yourself a participation trophy for showing up. ·It's not just about the big muscles and looking good. It's not just about being able to lift heavy weights. It's about the accountability you hold yourself to. It's about the simple lifestyle change for the better. It's about leading your children and family down the correct path. 2019. 2022. 2024 This is my WHY Starting my fitness journey I was in a very unhealthy state. My relationship with food, and working out was toxic. When I started to try to fix that, I had no clue what I was doing…. Even though I put on some weight, and was trying to do the right things… I still was just so unhappy and felt bloated and uncomfortable all the time. It wasn’t until I started to actually educate myself on how my body actually works. And start to work with my body instead of the against it. That was when I started to see not only physical changes that I wanted, but mental changes inside and out, that made me start to feel the most confident I am today. Don’t underestimate the power of reading a book or the power of listening to a podcast. You don’t know what you don’t know… If you give yourself the opportunity to learn and grow your life starts to become so much more fuller. My goal is to be able to have others feel this way too.
