🜃 Standing beneath this tree felt like I was standing amongst my ancestors and these were the brooms they used as vehicles to tap into higher sources. Fefe, the Goddess who brought us here amongst this beautiful garden on the upper side of Jamaica, pointed out these small plants beneath the tree that served as a compass for slaves to escape. Whenever they were touched, these plants would close, and this is how they could tell if their slave masters had recently traveled down the path. If they remained unopened, they would continue on their journey towards freedom. She couldn’t recall the name of this plant at the time but I found that so fascinating. It’s amazing how Pachamama not only provides nourishment for our well being but also protection and divine wisdom. Fast forward to 4am this morning. I had a call with one of my mentors Sigourney Belle where we went on a somatic journey to the underworld to uncover some tools. One of the tools had to be something that felt familiar and the mimosa plant jumped out to me right away. It told me to never question my capabilities and that I had all of the answers to the universe within; never feel lack. It prompted me to google it to see if I can find new insights I hadn’t seen before and although Mimosa Hostillis was the one that appeared on my journey, Mimosa Pudica was the one that showed in my search. Mimosa Pudica is also known as the Shameplant. How fitting to uncover this one when next week’s class takes us through dealing with Shame. Mimosa Pudica is plant that folds inwards when touched or shaken. This was the plant that Fefe spoke of! So I’m sitting with Mimosa in my heart space today and forever. A long time ago, my best friend told me they have a distant Aunt ancestor, who sends them birds. They're a special connected ancestor, who watches and lives in them. They've seen many exotic birds, they just knew it was her saying hey, saying you're strong, saying I'm with you. I remember wondering who that could be for me. I started looking at my tree for three reasons, to find who had diabetes(or had chronicillness), to find who may have been LGBT, and to find my special ancestor like my friend's. Ever since discovering this man, I have wondered if this man is all three. I have had a number of dreams about him, and my imagination has ran with them. All of my research of him has backed up these dreams. Alexius is someone who I look at, and I feel so familiar with. I see his face, and I feel his life lived. It sometimes surprises me so much that we never met. I asked him, how can I understand him better, how can I understand my ancestors better. And then pulled these two cards. I had a huge December to January developing my messages and conversations with spirits. I was told to take a break, rest, heal ect. Everytime I think too hard about other ancestors, and mysteries, my mind is pulled back to him, like an anchor. I've asked other ancestors questions, but my mind wanders to Alexius when I shuffle, and the cards come out confused. My anchor to my calm, ancestor reminding me to rest. Yesterdays - Ancestor Lineage Healing This was one brave woman I met yesterday in the healing. I feel so humbled when I see people coming from such adverse situations and still making it so far in their life. Severe mother wound transcending from grandmother. 🍀 As a result, brow beating herself constantly, putting up a brave front and not sharing her emotions, being tough all the time and not letting the masculine energy release and balance, always helicoptering her and others life leaving no room for failure, not experiencing joy in anyway. Generational trauma and conditioning can be passed down through up to 14 generations. But so can their healings and wisdom.
