The 3rd thing the dragon reminded me of: If we choose to believe The Universe has our back, if we have faith that we are always loved and protected, then we will experience life in a way which feels safe. With faith, the challenges and difficulties we experience are lessons to be learned, and here to expose what we are currently creating with our thoughts, actions and choices so we can change and transform, and create differently. 4th thing: Following a path of self love and self transformation; living life with a faith in a bigger meaning and purpose; being brave enough to be weird and accept that about yourself; doing your best to love yourself through all your good and bad moments, cultivates an inner strength and inner trust that allows you to face life with confidence. And that doesn’t mean you’ll be happy and things will be easy all the time. It just means that when things are feeling hard there’s an underlying sense that it will be okay and that there’s meaning and purpose to it. And that leads to the, 5th thing: Life is a journey and we grow and change. Seven years ago, if someone had asked me to read this post I’d either have refused on the basis that I didn’t engage in that sort of nonsense, or I’d have read it and been seriously irritated by how deluded the person was who had written it. All those ‘trust the universe has your back’ type quotes made me both angry and perplexed. How could seemingly intelligent people be so damned stupid? Hi #smilers Why does trying to rest and relax actually cause me more stress 😂 my wonderful friend @peter_siney Sent me this quote with a why does this remind me of you & today I felt it really does So one of my many neurological treatments is trying to do nothing relax and rest to try help my malfunction brain and central nerve system which is always on oversimulated hyperactive & working on overdrive physical & mentally ( I'll explain this condition more in depth on another post) But it seems I'm not very good at relaxing or more to the point doing nothing 😂 in fact trying to rest relax etc is causing me stress 🤦♀️😂 one the treatment activities is to actually sit or lie and do nothing & I mean nothing so as some of you will notice from my stories I'm currently in different location with the perfect stimuli to help reboot my "relaxation mode" However doing these activity causes me stress I lie here going I need to be doing something I dont justmean blogs or work my brain always full of lists ideas thoughts & things need doing or overthinking etc no you see I'm sat here trying to do nothing but I'm like can I not read a book, do crafts, play games, i find my hands legs restless twitching start stretching them out cant be still, I'm 'in need' of doing something. So why dont I just do that well part of that is because doing those activities is still keeping my over active and hyper stimulated brain & central nervous system active stimulated when we are trying to calm slow down & place itself in standby mode like when a computer is not needed ie on sleep mode keep basic function working but not needed to run programs or multiple ones at same time Yet heres my brain when I'm trying to do nothing... as well as other things stated before... is causing me stress of various things... but no time... Fear, anxiety, and obsessive thoughts have dominated me for a long time. They have stolen the joy from things I once loved. I used to step up into the saddle and feel invincible; unified with a powerful, sentient being and completely sure of who I am. Now I freeze, hesitant and teary-eyed, losing myself in "what if" and self doubt, catastrophising every poasibility into a worst-case scenario. I know this is not the only place in my life where fear slithers in like a multi-headed serpent and strikes with self-doubt, anger, sadness, anxiety, self-blame, helplessness, shame, and panic. I am committed to overcoming the fear, facing my insecurities, and silencing my self doubt. I may not conquer it in a day, or even a year, but I can get a step closer with every decision to try.
