Going here was like a Magical Rendez-vous for me. It is possible to reach the Santa Ruins, located in Gümüşhane province of Turkey, both from Gümüşhane province and from Araklı district of Trabzon province. But you have to be careful as the roads are a bit bad. . Your car should have high ground clearance. In fact, if possible, you should go here by off-road vehicle. . I used the Trabzon-araklı route with my own car. The road was a bit long, but it was enjoyable to see the natural beauties along the way. . When we arrived at the Santa ruins, we could only visit 1 neighborhood (CENTRAL DISTRICT). But there were 7 neighborhoods in the Santa Ruins and we did not have enough time to see them all. I think you should come here in spring and summer. I went in winter so it was very cold and I felt cold. You can bring your bicycles and cycle when you come here. . In addition, a bicycle competition is held every year in summer from Araklı district to Santa Ruins. So if you want, you can also come here by bike. . Old Photos Of Arabia Jaffa (Yaffa) Historically the port city of Jaffa has been a major commercial center. The area around is famous for quality citrus fruits. The city itself was also fairly industrialized with metalworking factories and metal workshops. Other factories produced orange-crates, barrels, corks, noodles, ice, seltzer, candy, soap, olive oil, leather, alkali, wine, cosmetics and ink. Most of the newspapers and books printed in Ottoman Palestine were published in Jaffa. The city’s central location along the Palestinian coast and its proximity to Jerusalem in the interior added to its importance. The photos are: 1. But if a slow-paced narration with beautiful descriptions of nature, then “Go As A River” will definitely be a favorite read. The story starts with a chance encounter between the main character, Victoria Nash, and Wilson Moon. The problem with this first love is that Wilson is Native American, and this is 1948 in a small town in Colorado - a recipe for disaster. So when tragedy strikes and Victoria finds herself alone and pregnant, it is a hard choice she faces. And yet, through heartbreak and pain and fear she’s still able to pull through and make a life for herself, always solitary, always longing, but a strong character nonetheless. The only thing perhaps that could have made the book better was a bit more about the history of the time: going from 1948 to 1971, the book covers a lot of ground in terms of American and world history. June 20th - 21st, 1942 - Western Desert Campaign of the Second World War - Mediterranean Theatre. __ Allied defeat in Tobruk and victory in Tunisia ⬇️⬇️ __ This is for educational and historical purposes only __ The Battle of Gazala (near the village of Gazala), wear of the port town of Tobruk in Libya - from May 26th to June 21st, 1942, led to the Axis capture of the town and its Allied garrison. Axis soldiers from the Panzerarmee Afrika (under command of Erwin Rommel) – his mechanized forces of German and Italian units, fought against the British Eighth Army (of General Sir Claude Auchinleck - who was the commander-in-Chief Middle East Command), his forces composed mainly of British, Commonwealth, Indian Free French forces, and other Allied personnel. __ The Axis mechanized forces in the Western Desert - during their offensive towards Tobruk, made a decoy attack in the north as the main forces moved around the southern flank of the Gazala position. __ Then unexpected resistance at the south end of the defensive line around the Bir Hakeim (former Ottoman era fortress) by the Free French garrison – left German Panzerarmee Afrika with a long and vulnerable supply route around the Gazala Line. __ Erwin Rommel, ordered his forces into a defensive position (backing onto Allied minefields - the Cauldron), the Germans formed positions in the midst of the British Army’s defenses. __ Engineers from the Royal Italian Army, removed mines from the west side of the minefields, to create a supply route through to the Axis side. Operation Aberdeen - an offensive by the British Eighth Army to ‘finish off’ the Panzerarmee, was poorly co-ordinated and defeated – many British tanks were knocked out on the desert and the Germans regained the initiative. #🇬🇧🇺🇸🇩🇪🇮🇹TheLastGentlemansWar1940to1943 ⬇️⬇️ @raven_military_historian

In response to requests at our public meeting on Palestine in March, we are organising some workshops to learn about key events in the region from 1917 to 2024 and their impacts, with plenty of opportunities for questions/discussion. Green councillor Caroline Jackson, deputy leader of Lancaster City Council (pictured here in the centre of a group of Green Councillors at an earlier rally) will speak at the Lancaster March for Palestine this Saturday. Caroline says: "The escalation of violence in the Middle East calls for resolution to the interconnected conflicts in the region, including in Palestine, but first we need an immediate permanent ceasefire in Gaza. “The Green Party supports a ceasefire and large scale humanitarian aid for Gaza. It also backs suspension of arms sales to Israel. "It should concern us all that UK military involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran last weekend happened without debate in Parliament. Our leaders must find ways of reducing tension, not supplying weapons, and not by joining in the conflict." "I am proud of Lancaster people standing up to be counted.
