The fusion of traditional royal features from Gujarat and Rajasthan, spanning centuries, with vernacular elements from the Maratha heartland, birthed the unique Peshwa style of Architecture. These structures, often expansive mansions with multiple rooms and courtyards, held a distinct charm. The structure restored here, though small, epitomizes elegance. It once adorned the frontage of a Peshwa Wada nestled in a remote hamlet of Belgaum district, Karnataka. While time claimed much of the Wada, this modest single-storey section with its lovely Jharoka stood resilient.
