Yep, I've heard it time and time again. I'm not a real nurse if I don't work at a hospital. Well, I call BULLSH🤬T on that! Don't let ANYONE tell you that you are wasting your license doing something other than bedside nursing! I loved bedside nursing, and I have MAD love for those still at the bedside. I honestly miss it. Being a bedside nurse does not make you any better of a nurse than someone in a non-traditional nursing role. To nurses in all roles, I celebrate YOU! I'm a business owner, I get it!! Refunds are tough... I know you don't want your customers to be unsatisfied, but what can you do to protect yourself?? 1. Have a SUPER clear Client Agreement: When you have a clear client agreement, you create clear lines of communication between yourself and your clients. Knowing what to include in there is key! 2. Having a Terms of Use in place: A Terms of Use is the little box that your clients check whenever they sign up for your digital products. Included should be your refund/returns policies. It's important not only that your clients understand those policies but also that they agree to them before the program, course, mastermind, or class. 3. Consider giving your client a refund. Sometimes a little kindness goes a long way. If your client has already received the product and has had access to it, then a refund might not be necessary, but if there's time left on their contract, then you might want to give them that refund. The goal is to get the person TALKING. Open-ended questions are the best. YES/NO questions are okay as long they are limited. Walk them through the medicine of the case with well-thought-out lines of questioning. “But sometimes I worry that I’m making it all up” she confessed to me. my client had just riffed on an entire philosophy on manifestation I’ve never heard before (and I read a lot of manifestation books). Her unique spin had me captivated. And then the fear crept in as she said those words “But why does making it up invalidate it? Isn’t that exactly how everything is created?” I questioned It reminds me of one of the final chapters in the final Harry Potter series (the one with Harry Potter and having the conversation in the Whyte empty Kings Cross) Just before Harry goes back to reality he asked Dumbledore “Professor is this all real… or is it just happening inside my head?” “Of course it is happening inside your head Harry but one earth should that mean that it is not real?” This conversation reminded me of that. We doubt our own gifts experiences interpretations… Innate wisdom comes from nowhere and because we can’t find a source outside of us we don’t think it’s real. But why would it not be? All of the greatest inventors thinkers, and creators (J. K. Rowling being one of them) have made incredible impact through their imagination. Don't you just hate it when someone doesn't take you seriously? It can be lonely and tough running a business and the last thing you want to hear from your nearest and dearest is that they think it's a hobby. I remember telling a family member that I was going to quit my corporate job and set up on my own. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't take the kids out of nursery and run my business whilst looking after them! Don't get me wrong, I'd have done that if I had to, but I was fortunate enough that I didn't and I had already been building my business. But what would the difference have been in doing that to setting up alongside a job. Looking after kids is full on (most of the time) running a business is full on most of the time. Why does society expect women (in particular) to do both?? Ran over!
