Something about the word CHALLENGE makes me work even HARDER. In every LTL challenge, I work alongside every athlete. Every challenge is an opportunity to create a plan or guide to reach my goals. I am motivated by every athlete’s hard work so much that it fuels my motivation to push myself even harder. Intentional 50 was a challenge for me to take my training to the next level. I created a 50-day fitness plan designed to accelerate my physical capabilities and mental well-being. And although I cannot “win” a challenge, the WIN for me is the progress I see. I strive to be the best version of myself. I will use Essential 30 to get closer to the best version of me, and I’m excited to see what’s next. With every challenge, I ask every challenger to send me their plans for review, so that I can make sure they are on the right track. It's hard to score if you're constantly moving the goalposts. Or if the goalposts are on a bosu ball. Training complexity is great, and it can be fun to have some technically challenging moves in your programme. I love teaching my clients a variety of kettlebell moves, bodyweight skills, and Olympic lift variations...IF we can afford to dedicate time to it. But when a client has specific goals and deadlines, it's time to focus on the exercises that allow us to progress week on week. The same goes for constantly trying new moves, or doing things that are too awkward or unstable to progressively overload. If you're constantly distracted, or needing to reset the exercise, or forgetting what the next step is in an 8-piece mega-burpee, then what are you actually training? I'm sure everyone has different preferences on the mixture of physical and technical challenge.
