This is 💯 true. It’s not until your nervous system relaxes that you get rooted. I grew up in an abusive environment and my nervous system was in constant flight or fight mode and I didn’t even realize it. But it definitely explains the anxiety, depression, stomach issues, years of unexplained illness. Plus when you live that way you are constantly on the offensive. You never truly relax. Once I did. That’s when I had a spontaneous kundalini awakening. And I had no clue what that was until I started researching to find out what happened to me. It changed everything. My nervous system is now very relaxed and highly sensitive to every little change. The depression, anxiety, sickness…….gone. Since this happened in November I haven’t had a single episode of any of it. I feel amazing and I naturally started respecting my body and I lost weight. I’m happy and content with my life and it has reopened my spirituality. I’ve tapped back into my natural state of just being a human experiencing this moment. I’m not trying to sell you anything. WILD FOOD BOWL This chunky bowl was a concept I had in my mind but when it came to implementing this picture from mind I quickly discovered that the implementation needed more thought. However here it is in its most fullest of forms. Hollowed out of a large piece of dark clay, applied with a small amount of silicon and coffee coloured wild slip, then stretched into a shape I desired. And as usual the firing of something like this would be where the most magic and element of surprise happened. Most of the wild slip colour had burned away and left me with what I think resembles a burning log texture. Charcoal in colour with tinges of red earth. How beautiful would it be to spoon mouthfuls of wild soup out of this bowl. Yay cordage! On its own, a stray thread cannot accomplish much. But when several fibers are twisted into string or rope, a once feeble thing becomes both strong and flexible. A string can cut, choke, and trip; it can also link, bandage, and carry. String makes it possible to sew, to shoot an arrow, to strum a chord, to catch a fish. It’s difficult to think of an aspect of human culture that is not laced through with some form of string or rope. Everybody knows about the incredible importance of fire and the wheel, but cordage is one of the most powerful tools and i think may be one of the most taken for granted and simply overlooked. Water glassing eggs Need fairly clean, unwashed eggs - 1 oz calcium hydroxide per quart of water(2 tbsp equals an oz if you don't have a kitchen scale). You can get it as pickling lime at the grocery store or large amounts cheaper on Amazon - I use a bucket with a screw on on lid from Tractor Supply. You can use most anything that will seal including Mason jars - Put the eggs in a bucket - Use a seperate bucket to mix the calcium into the water until it's dissolved - Pour over the eggs When you take them out to use, "float" and wash them. Good for at least a year. You need to add a little water to the bucket from time to time as it will evaporate slowly. #OldWays

Welcome the weird! To continue with the circular theme, here’s another! I had a wooden left-over ring from some project, so I wanted to try this wrappy thing on it. The string is flax/linen. This piece reminds me of a dragonfly for some reason! It must be the polished antler pieces that somehow look like wings. In the center there is a stone face from the Ancestones collection, called Dune. Sure, it’s a very odd and whimsical piece, but maybe you are the same kind of weird? About 15yrs ago we went to the woods in May on a camping trip to celebrate Beltane/Walpurgisnacht and we have been doing it ever since. People came and went, we’ve had freezing nights and heatwaves, some gatherings where small and intimate, some big and loud. We jumped over fires, swam by moonlight and made wobbly maypoles. The first year we where students and everyone came by bike or occasional motorcycle, now we come with cars and campervans. And probably the biggest change; the lovely flock of kids! Thank you if you where there this year, or any other year. It makes my heart glow! For the earth, for the kids, for the future.
