Was an honor to be gifted these not one, but two, awards yesterday! I have so much love in my heart for my @nazenglishcomm family. I've learned so much from my amazing professors and classmates. I feel like I've really been able to find my identity and voice as a writer. Ngl, I had a really bad experience with a 'prestigious' creative writing instructor in Scotland. It made me feel really negatively about myself and my work, and created an atmosphere that was alienating for queer students. Consider this my way of saying: 'take that!' One of the professors I respect most said that I'm one of the most 'complex thinkers' she's met in 20 years of teaching, and that I'm a 'poster child for the Humanities.' In an era when Humanities funding is plummeting to make way for STEM programs, that's a really meaningful honorific. 𖢗 Beltane 𖢗 Le passage du feu . Beltane s'éveille et palpite ! Cette fête du feu est des 4 piliers de ce monde dans la roue celtique des celebrations annuelles. Beltane ouvre la grande porte de la saison claire et referme l'espace ouvert 6 mois plus tôt. Tambour, danse, amitié, amour, plaisir du toucher, du goûter, s'invitent aujourd'hui. C'est le moment de célébrer ce et ceux que l'on aime, d'allumer les feux et par notre passage d'unir les polarités. Portés par l'énergie qui monte vers le ciel, les danses en spirales ouvrent nos perceptions et nous voici capables de recevoir les messages des éléments : air, eau, feu, terre, fremissent, s'exaltent, murmurent, chuchotent, laissent des indices pour nous livrer des messages subtils. La reliance à la nature, au corps, est puissante. Comme les feux allumés par nos ancêtres, la joie embrase nos ventres. Vénus s'installe en Taureau et le ciel répond à la Terre. Fendas que se abrem sozinhas, Terremotos que se criam Por duas placas tectônicas Chamados pensamento e ação. Maremotos, olhos lacrimosos. A única (sonoridade) A sensação ( de se afogar?) Flores de pétalas com uma história Cada uma com uma cor, Uma dor, Um pavor. Gritos ecoam pelo nada, Sinto-me afastada Do que amo. Por isso clamo Por uma alma menos devastada.
