🕯️ CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE FOR A CHANGE 🌠 🪽 I don’t know why but these cheesecake baked oats satisfy me even more in the morning than my porridge oats. I will not stop it until I am over it!! This morning with a chocolate filled chocolate cheesecake layer. Oatly base layer: 🧁 40g oats 🧁 10g protein powder (natural) 🧁 100ml water 🧁 1/2 tsp baking powder 🧁 a pinch of salt Put an oven save bowl and mix. Add blueberries on top and put in the air fryer for 5 min at 180°C. Prepare the cheesecake layer from - 200g quark (non fat) - 5g chocolate pudding powder - Sweetener of choice - A splash of water - One pinch of salt Mix together and add on top of the blueberry oat layer. Put chocolate in the cheesecake layer before baking. Bake for 12 minutes at 140°C. Add the chocolate on top as long as the cake is super hot. Smoky tempeh + avo salad sandwich🌱🥑😍 an easy, balanced and protein packed lunch, too good not to share! With 30g protein per serve, plenty of colourful veggies and fibre. And takes just 10 minutes to make🤝🏼 TO MAKE IT: 100g tempeh 1 tsp soy sauce 1/2 tsp liquid smoke 2 slices whole grain or spelt bread 1/2 tomato, sliced 1/4 cucumber, sliced A few leaves of lettuce 1 tbsp pickled red onion 1-2 tbsp hummus 1/3 avocado 1️⃣Slice tempeh, then coat with soy sauce and liquid smoke. Place on parchment paper and air fry at 200°C for 10 minutes until crisp + golden. 2️⃣Toast bread, then spread with hummus and mashed avocado. 3️⃣Layer with your sliced veggies and tempeh, slice in half and enjoy!!❤️‍🔥

*FOOD REVIEW* Well these were a little delight! I picked up a pack of the new Bourbon Twists biscuits from @sainsburys as I'm a big fan of both Bourbons and caramel flavouring. The combination of the two works really well, and I thought these were fab! They're your standard Bourbon biscuit in both appearance and texture, but with a caramel flavour added to the cream. The caramel flavour blended perfectly with the signature cocoa flavour of the Bourbon and helped to sweeten it slightly whilst giving the biscuit a comforting, homely taste. The caramel wasn't super strong, but was just the right amount for the size of the biscuit. Perfect when dunked in tea too! Overall I would highly recommend trying these if you're a fan of Bourbons/caramel. Meal prep day!! I woke up with just a few hours to spare before I leave to work another nightshift. It's a leg day and I was also out of ready made healthy foods for me to enjoy for the week. I chose to prioritize my nutrition by meal prepping, and do a shorter workout. When it comes to any health/wellness/fitness journey, whether the goal is to lose fat or gain muscle, the FIRST most important thing you can do is implement good dietary habits. Even exercise and strength training is secondary to nutrition. If you don't have your diet dialed in, then what you do in the gym isn't going to matter as much. You can't exist on a trash diet and expect to feel/look/perform at your optimum level. You can either find yourself hungry, staring aimlessly into the fridge and grabbing whatever, or you can set yourself up for eating success by having ready-to-go foods that fuel your goals. You want your pre-baby body back? You can get there but give it TIME. Your body has changed in a lot of ways. You need to treat those changes with respect. And momma you don’t need to SPRINT to get there. I understand that it’s hard to live in this new body at times. I’ve had my share of days where I avoid the mirror when I change. The worst thing you can do for your healing body AND mind is put a crazy amount of pressure on yourself to get back to that pre-baby weight. You don’t have to crash diet and wear yourself down. We both know you are already exhausted enough as it is. Adding that much stress is just a recipe for a breakdown. My advise is to give yourself some grace. The first months aren’t for dieting they are for recovery. Don’t slash calories and work on eating at maintenance. I know that’s harder than it sounds because meals take time to make. Do invest some time each day to work on your core rehab. You can start on breath work as early as your first week. But do NOT rush back into cardio and HIIT training. Start with walking and wearing your baby or carrying the car seat. Once you feel stable THEN we can talk adding light weight back in. In time your body will respond and slowly you’ll work back to where you were. At 4 months PP I’ve just started working on lifting “heavy” and allowed myself to go into a very minor calorie deficit last month. If you aren’t a novice gym goer it might take longer than that for you. But please don’t rush this process and make a HARD season of life even harder.
