Ruck #137 done with a 45lb ruck and in the rain, in which I really yearn to workout in adverse conditions. I’ve really had to lean on my mental toughness this week and todays ruck was one with no headphones, no distractions, just the sound of the rain and channeling my inner thoughts and trying to find solutions to some of those. That is a huge part that is necessary to be mentally tough, I definitely had a clear head at the end and also had a good conversation with a guy in the neighborhood that was impressed with me rucking in the rain and that he sees me rucking around the area everyday. Taco 🌮 Bake - Yes, please! 😀 ❤️ (Coach Recommendation ⭐️) Ingredients: 📝 8 Tbsp or 1/2 cup reduced fat cream cheese (4 ounces) 1/4 cup egg beaters 5 Tbsp half and half 1/2 tsp taco seasoning 8 ounces low-fat mexican cheese blend, shredded Toppings: 1.5 lbs ground turkey or beef, cooked 4 tsp taco seasoning 1 cup tomato puree - tomatoes chopped, then puree to equal 1 cup 4 ounces diced green chiles 4 ounces mexican cheese blend Direction: 📝 For the crust, beat the cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add the half and half and seasonings. Grease 9x13” baking dish; spread the cheese over the bottom. Pour in the egg mixture as evenly as possible. Bake at 375 deg F for 25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before adding the topping. For the topping, brown the turkey or beef and drain the fat. Stir in seasoning, tomato puree and chiles. Spread over crust. Top with cheese. Reduce oven to 350 deg F and bake for another 20 minutes or so until hot and bubbly. We are always putting ourselves down for everything...I didn't do well at work, I'm not a good parent, I'm not a good spouse, I ate too much, I shouldn't have drank all that wine. If we are not getting encouragement from people around us, we need to encourage ourselves. We are not perfect, but there are good things that we do for others. What we have to do is start doing good things for ourselves. We are never gonna be able to take care of others if we don't take care of ourselves first. So today, drink that one extra glass of water, park farther away from the building, take the stairs, go for a walk with your friend or coworker, chose that salad instead of that cheeseburger. And when you're done...tell yourself that you did a good job!!❤

Watermelon Basil Spinach Salad INGREDIENTS For the Salad: 4 cups spinach 1 cup watermelon, cubed 1 cup mixed berries (I used blackberries and blueberries) 4 Tbsp. feta, crumbled, optional 4 Tbsp. fresh basil, shredded For the Dressing: 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar 5 Tbsp. avocado oil or evoo INSTRUCTIONS In a large bowl, combine salad ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic reduction and olive oil. Drizzle desired amount of balsamic dressing over salad and toss lightly to coat. Exclude the Feta for 4 Week Gut Protocol!!

There was a time I hid from the world. Stayed stuck in my house. Kept away from everyone. Depressed & lonely. Stopped posting on social media, (I can’t tell you how many times I deactivated my account. 🙈) I stopped caring about everything & everyone (besides my kids. Lol) I hid. I hated myself. Hated my story. Hated my life. But I’m no longer doing that. I will not hide. I realize everything has been a lesson. A path, a journey to get when I am today. It’s made me stronger, empathetic, determined - better mother, a better friend. A better person. I look at social media as a digital diary. I often think about what I share & if it has any meaning. But this is a place where I can 1. Post whatever TF I want 🤪 2. Share my life with cool pictures and meaningful words and hopefully 3. Inspire others to rise above. 🙏🏼 To rise above all the trauma, the pain, the hurt, the things you have faced & thought you wouldn’t survive. I’ve been there. So many times. But I cannot change what’s happened to me. I can’t be mad or upset at the people who’ve hurt me. I can’t get back the time I wasted feeling sorry for myself, or for my life story. But I am not a victim. I am a survivor. I’ve come this far & intend to keep going. I am ME. I will always be ME. And I’m proud of me. I love me. Because I know my heart & I know that with all I’ve been through - I’m still a kind human being who gives & shows love. I survived and you can too. Never be ashamed of your story - what you’ve been through, who you’ve become and what you’re capable of - and ALL that you are. So remember, even in your darkest times, there is a light waiting to shine through. 💫 And the darkest part of your story can give birth to the most beautiful part of your soul. If you’ve read all of the above & got to this part, I love you, you’re not alone & keep going. 🫶🏼 #LindaMarie
