Book Review | | Fighting Temptation by K.C. Lynn ⭐⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶🌶 Swipe for full synopsis - I feel that it is only fair that I start this review by saying that I was in the mood for something very specific when I started this book, and this book did not hit those things I was looking for. Which is no fault of the book, and 100% my own fault for not looking into the book more. All this to say, while I didn't love this book, it could totally have been because of my mood and not because of the book. I will say, even with me not loving this book, I am very much interested in reading more from this author. This book was her debut novel, and it is ten years old, so I imagine there has probably been a lot of growth over that time. Onto my actual review. I enjoyed the story and tropes of this one. I liked how the relationship developed, and I liked getting to see both Jaxson and Julia at different stages in their life. I wasn't the biggest fan of Jaxson as a character, though. I like an alpha male main character, but there was just something about him that didn't work for me completely. The story also felt a little over the top at times, but again, I think that comes from being a debut novel written 10 years ago. All this to say, while this was my first book from this author, it definitely won't be my last. ✔️ Friends to Lovers ✔️ Forced Proximity  ✔️ Mutual Pining ✔️ Ex-Military (Navy Seal) ✔️ Small Town ✔️ First Person Dual

The family is off to Omaha for Christmas, but work needs her, so Georgie stays behind. While at her mom’s house she goes to her childhood bedroom and uses the old landline to call Neal’s mom’s house to check in. When he answers, he’s not quite the Neal who left her days before. #Review: Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang Guys this is the first of my #MegaMay reviews this year and one of my favorite Mega reads to date!!!!! Wang is such an amazing author. Her look at parenthood, loss, generational trauma. It's all so deftly done. I can't believe how prescient this book is with the way it looks at war and the realities of politics when it is mixed with failing humanity. If you don't have this on your TBR, add it!!! And a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in MegaMay, but most importantly, with this buddy read! ✨️📚 Wrong Place Wrong Time - Gillian McAllister 📚✨️ - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • This was an interesting one. I'd say that for the first half of this, I had no idea what was going on, I wasn't compelled to read it and it felt like a bit of a slog if I'm being honest. I should thank those of you who messaged and pushed me on with reading it 😂 • The concept is definitely a unique one. Jen witnesses her teenage son stab a stranger in the street and is stunned that her sweet, gentle, super-smart boy could do something so violent. Going to bed that night, she has no idea what is happening and why her son has done what he's done. Except, when she wakes up, it's not the next day... This book takes us further and further back, a chapter at a time, telling the story of Jen, her son Todd, and her husband Kelly. As we step back in time, sometimes by a day or two, and sometimes by years, the story unravels in a way you don't see coming. • The story is predominantly told from Jen's perspective as she navigates going back in time, seeing her life from another angle, and learning more about the people she thought she knew inside out. There are plenty of twists and the additional chapters told from the perspective of the policeman, Ryan add depth to the story. • I found this a bit of a slow-burner of a story but in the last half, it felt like it really got going. And I'm not guna lie, I'm kinda relieved because so many people recommended this/Gillian McAllister and it would have been such a disappointment otherwise! It made me want to add more of Gillian's books to my wishlist! So, what others should I add??

Book Review | | Fall With Me by Brooke Montgomery ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶.5 Swipe for full synopsis - Landen and Ellie... What to say about the two of them? I will say they were both characters I was intrigued by when we first met them in book one. And this book was honestly kind of perfect for the two of them. I'm not sure how their story could have played out other than the way it did. It was a little slow to start, but I think the exposition was important to the story, so I understand it. Once it picked up though, I struggled to put it down. I definitely stayed up a little later than I should have finishing it. Landen was such a great male lead. I loved how he was with Ellie from the very start, and I loved watching him pine after her. I really enjoyed watching Ellie interact with him at every point in this book, when she hated him, when she didn't know him, and when she loved him. I liked how the amnesia played a part in the story, and I love how it all played out. I honestly loved the mystery behind why Ellie hated Landen. I'm so glad Brooke decided to draw out that reveal because it worked perfectly. I swore up and down I knew exactly what the reason was early on, and then she would reveal just a little bit, making me second guess myself. It wasn't until right before the reveal that I figured it out. Here With Me is still my favorite in this series, but Fall With Me is definitely a great addition. I'm excited for both Waylon and Wilder's stories. ✔️ One-Sided Hate to Love ✔️ He Falls First, and Harder ✔️ Sports (Barrel Racing) ✔️ Age Gap (6 Years) ✔️ Grumpy/Sunshine (She's the Grump) ✔️ Amnesia ✔️ Small Town ✔️ First Person Dual POV *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

📖BOOK REVIEW BOOK: The Best Lies AUTHOR: David Ellis GENRE: Thriller RATING: 3.5⭐️ PUB DATE: 7/23/24 SWIPE FOR SYNOPSIS ➡️ 💭THOUGHTS Look Closer is one of my all time favorite thrillers. I was so excited to get my hands on THE BEST LIES! Once I started reading, I quickly became a little disappointed. The first half of the book was confusing and hard to follow. I didn’t fully grasp the plot until around the halfway mark. BUT from there I was hooked and really enjoyed the chase to the end. The main character, Leo, was incredibly fascinating…he is a diagnosed pathological liar which that alone was very entertaining. I love thrillers with unreliable main characters and this one definitely hit the mark. The second half of the book was fast-paced, filled with twists that kept disproving my theories and the ending wrapped up nicely. Be sure to check it out! If you like unreliable narrators, mob themed thrillers, multiple POVs, and nonlinear timelines then this is gonna be a great pick for you! ▪️Special thanks to @netgalley and @putnambooks for this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review! ❔do you like thrillers with unreliable main characters? Tell me your favs in the comments!

📚𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪📚 Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman Rating: 3⭐️ “𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨, 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧—𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡, 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮.” Incoming unpopular review🫣 I know a lot of you liked this one, but it fell short in a lot of areas for me. Eleanor is the perfect example of a well written unlikeable character. She is aloof, judgement, awkward & even mean (in her thoughts), which had me struggling to cheer for her character. There are hints at Eleanor’s tragic past from the start—an explanation for why she behaves the way she does & why she is detached from the rest of the world. & while I do recognize the issue of loneliness and how the system has failed to help Eleanor in her mental health, I found myself struggling to find any compassion for her because she was simply so unlikeable. She wasn’t “quirky” to me, she was just rude & mean. “𝙄𝙛 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙀. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨. 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙀 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙖𝙮.” I also struggled with the fact that there is never a real diagnosis to Eleanor. Is she the way she is because of the unresolved trauma from her past, or was she this way before? I recognize that maybe a firm diagnosis doesn’t matter, but as a reader it would’ve helped me to understand her character more. Overall this book was just ok for me, but I do think its a book that needs to be read more than once to truly grasp Eleanor’s character. She is not simply a flawed character, she is a traumatized one, & because of that her character is not one that is easy to like but maybe is a bit easier to understand.

My local library announced the start date of their kids summer reading program today, which I'm excited for my son to participate in again this year This is his Brag Tag from last year, representing the 21 hours worth of reading he did (of me reading to him since he was only a year old) during the course of the program. Each bead represents: Letter C - 2 hours Orange - 1 hour Football - 4 hours Letter C - 2 hours Blue - 2 hours Soccer ball - 4 hours Football - 4 hours Letter C - 2 hours (His name starts with a C, can you tell? 📖BOOK REVIEW BOOK: The Act Of Disappearing AUTHOR: Nathan Gower GENRE: Historical Mystery RATING: 4.5⭐️ PUB DATE: 5/28/24 TODAY! SWIPE FOR SYNOPSIS ➡️ 💭THOUGHTS Wow, what a beautiful and heartbreaking story. This book kept me up at night reading and it deserves to be on everyone’s radar. It is a story of found family, mental health, true love, loss and so much more. I loved the parallels between the two timelines and as they merge it becomes an incredible reading experience. I thought all the emotion the author poured into this book was remarkable especially with the heavier topics. It is raw and real and the ending was perfect in so many ways! It’s a slow burn but a journey worth reading and I guarantee you will love this ‘hauntingly beautiful’ story as much as I did. ➡️ You can grab your copy TODAY! Can’t wait for you to read this one! 🏇Book Review🏇 ‌ Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage ‌ Tropes: - brother's best friend - cowboy romance - secret romance ‌ Emmy is a professional barrel racer who comes home to her family's ranch after a riding accident. She has known Luke for years. As kids he was at her house quite frequently, almost like a part of her family. He's also her brother's best friend. ‌ I liked watching Luke fall for Emmy. Oh man did he fall hard. I especially liked when he got all jealous and protective over her. But he was also patient and sweet with Emmy, especially helping her ride again. He supported her when she needed it most. Quite different from the teenage boy she remembered from growing up together. I thought it was so meaningful when Emmy stood up for Luke, especially after we learn about his family. They were both protective over each other. ‌ Beyond the romance, there were a few other relationships that stood out to me. Emmy and her dad were pretty special together. Her best friend Teddy was a standout character and I look forward to reading her book. ‌ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ‌ ‌ ‌ ❓Have you started this series yet? Book Review | | The Fallen One by Brittney Sahin ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶🌶 Swipe for full synopsis - Carter Dominick has been a character I've wanted to know more about since the first time we met him, and while I have had to wait what feels like forever for his book, it was totally worth the wait. This book, while long, was freaking fantastic. I honestly don't think there was a scene I wasn't heavily invested in. I definitely lost some sleep while reading/listening to it because I couldn't put it down. Honestly, I don't know how to express my enjoyment for this book in words. Carter is a complicated man with a lot going on in his life. While I wanted his story badly, I was also nervous about how I would feel considering he's always been portrayed as being seriously in love with his wife, and she's not alive anymore. But I've got to say, I honestly really loved how that part of the story was handled. I loved how Carter and Rebecca's story was revealed over the course of the book, and I love how we got to see him go through the entire grieving process. I love how he cared for and loved Diana. I absolutely adored how their relationship developed over the course of the entire book. I know this book is long, over 650 pages, but it was the right choice for this story and these characters. I think it was important to see both Carter and Diana at the various stages of their life. Even with having read all of Brittney's other books, Carter was still such an enigma and getting to see him before, during, and after everything was the perfect thing. While you don't have to read any of Brittney's other work to enjoy this book, it would definitely increase the enjoyment of this book to at least read the rest of this series. Again, I know it's long, but it was so worth it for me. ✔️ Age Gap (12 Years) ✔️ Right Person, Wrong Time ✔️ Widower  ✔️ 13 Year Timespan ✔️ Ex-Military Military/CIA ✔️ Morally Gray Hero ✔️ Romantic Suspense ✔️ First Person Dual POV

Bernadette doesn’t belong in Seattle, but her husband is a big shot at Microsoft, so there she is. So different from all the other moms at her kid’s (Bee) school. In a wild series of events in which everyone acts without actually discussing anything with each other, Bernadette goes missing. Now it’s up to Bee to think like her mom to try to find her even though everyone else has given up hope. This book was hilarious and I loved it! 5/5 #readinglog #wheredyougobernadette #mariasemple #humorousbooks #mystery #bookstagram #booktok #readingobsessed

Got another ARC review for you! This time from @booksirens. I really enjoyed this one and definitely want to read more from this author. There were plenty of moments to keep me guessing and wanting to keep reading, which I love. And the end was done well, I thought! The only reason I docked a star was because I did find it to be a smidge predictable about halfway through. Title: The Girl Thief Author: J.A. NEW REVIEW! #HowtoSolveYourOwnMurder by Kristen Perrin is out NOW! Thank you to @netgalley & @quercusbooks for the ARC. You can read my 3 star review on Kindig Blog (link in bio). Here's some highlights: 'Quite a cosy murder mystery' 'There are certainly some cliches... which made me feel that it isn’t very original' 'It is an easy read though and it kept me gripped throughout' 'I don’t think it has the humour that Knives Out or The Thursday Murder Club does, so I think this comparison on its description is misleading' Have you read this one? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rootbound | Tarah Dewitt I absolutely loved this book from the moment I started reading it! I usually pick up romances between romantasy, as a sort of palate cleanser, but this book was so much more than that. Something I’ve learned over the last year is that my favourite romances are the farmer/cowboy and city girl crossovers. This book had so many of my favourite tropes, done well: - Slow burn (which was absolutely burning!!) - grumpy x sunshine - complex family background - small town Tait, the FMC has a lot of trauma that she’s trying to work through by categorizing and denying. She’s super relatable and tries to keep up an icy, indestructible exterior. Henry, the ranchhand with no shortage of skills who feels as if he owes his life to her estranged family, can’t help but try to melt that ice, and is the perfect depiction of a patient, encouraging golden retriever boyfriend. That said, Tait figures things out all on her own, and I love that for once an author has let the main character discover themselves and find their peace somewhat independently. She battles with nostalgia, trauma and breaking down expectations and anxiety around a very challenging family dynamic. I loved every second. #book #bookreview #bookreviewer #smalltownromance #cowboyromance #farmromance #grumpyxsunshine #grumpyxsunshinebooks #cowboyromancebooks #dualpov #rootbound #rootboundbook #tarahdewitt #tarahdewittauthor #bookish #bookishuk #bookishreview #bookishgirl #bookishgirlschat #booksta #bookstauk #bookstagram #bookstagramuk #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammeruk #bookstagrammersunite #bookobsessed #readingobsessed #booklover #bookworm

She woke up in a pile of snow on a Parisian street. She couldn’t remember anything, but there is a super hot guy with a gun calling her Alex and telling her to run. The only logical explanation…she’s a SPY!! This opposites attract book follows him and her as they try to solve the mystery of who she is, why she is in Europe and why does everyone keep trying to kill her? I love the main female character, she is so funny and real, and I love how she trusts herself and how strong she knows she is. 5/5 #readinglog #theblondeidentity #allycarter #spynovel #romancebooks #actionbooks #oppositesattract #grumpysunshine #onebed #bookstagram #booktok #audiobook #audiobookstagram #hoopla #readingobsessed

✨️📚 Fourth Wing - Rebecca Yarros 📚✨️ - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Okay, so I totally jumped on the bandwagon with this one. It was all over my bookstagram and curiosity got the best of me. I was slightly put off by the "Hunger Games meets Fifty Shades" comparison, despite loving HG, but figured I'd give it a go 🤷🏼‍♀️ When I say I loved this book, I mean I LOVED IT!!!! You know that feeling where you feel lost once it's done? Almost missing the characters? Yeah, *that* good! • Violet Sorrengail is our fiery female lead. Rather than her preferred life as a scribe, surrounded by her beloved books, she is sent into the riders' quadrant to learn to fight in battle. Oh, and bond with and ride a dragon 😅 Violet is the smallest & most fragile not only of her year, but of the whole quadrant, but as I say, she's feisty and determined to succeed with plenty to prove to herself and everyone around her. Violet also has a huge target on her back due to her world's brutal past and her General mother's part to play in it. Everything is against her. • Enter Xaden. The brooding, complex, ruthless third-year, who also happens to be the son of her mother's greatest enemy. Violet keeps finding herself drawn to Xaden, and when she bonds to her dragon, it seems he's going to be even harder to avoid. • I loved the flirty banter between Violet & Xaden, and the witty interactions with her dragon too! The story was well-paced with plenty of tension, and drama. The battle scenes were great and kept me on the edge of my seat. (I normally get bored with reading battles 😂) And the end!!!! God, I can't wait to read the next one!!! If you enjoy a bit of fantasy, or maybe fancy trying something different, I highly recommend this. This will be up there in my faves of 2024 for sure!

Mini Book Review | | Chasing Wild by Kristen Proby ⭐⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶.5 Swipe for full synopsis - I'm not entirely sure what it was about this book that didn't work for me as well as the first one did... I still enjoyed this story and these characters, but something about it didn't hit the same way as the first book in the series.  I did really enjoy the relationship development between Chase and Summer. I liked how their friendship was portrayed and how it morphed into more. I enjoyed the romantic suspense element of this one. And I did really enjoy how they both loved and cared for each other. Chase was definitely a swoon-worthy hero. I would still totally recommend this one to anyone who likes the following and has read and enjoyed anything from Kristen Proby. I think this was more of a me thing and not a book thing. ✔️ Friends to Lovers  ✔️ He Falls First  ✔️ Small Town  ✔️ Mystery/Suspense  ✔️ First Person Dual POV 💭 Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Book Review | | Strung Along by Hannah Cowan ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶 Swipe for full synopsis - This was my first Hannah Cowan book, and I can safely say it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the story and writing style of this one, and she has me very interested in what is going to happen with some of the side characters from this book.  Anna accidentally sends Brody a text, which results in the two of them continuing to text each other, not knowing they've met in real life and didn't really hit it off, creating this sort of hidden identity situation between the two of them, something I really enjoyed about this book. I don't want to give anything away, but I loved how this entire part of the story played out. It was just so well done. I also really loved how their relationship developed both in real life and through their texting. I liked how supportive they both were of the other person's dreams, and I loved how they communicated with each other. This was seriously a great start to a series. I'm really looking forward to continuing. ✔️ Hidden/Mistaken Identity ✔️ Celebrity/Country Boy x Big City Girl ✔️ Hate to Love ✔️ Small Town ✔️ First Person Dual POV 💭 Other than cats and dogs, have you ever owned any animals? Any animal you wish you could have?

📚𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪📚 Fragile Sanctuary by @catherinecowlesauthor Rating: 4.25 ⭐️ “𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙒𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙖𝙙. 𝙒𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. Anson is the broody contractor helping her rebuild. But something far more sinister brings the two of them together - & might even tear them apart. 𝙼𝚢 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎: Such a great way to start a new series! After meeting Anson in Ashes of You, I knew he was going to be a brooding, broken hero (my favorite), but I absolutely loved the contrast between his darkness & Rhodes’ light. While they may have been opposites, they had a similar pain that drew them to each other. “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘐’𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. Found family of foster siblings?! GIMME! & then there’s the suspense! CC does a great job of making you question everyone (no really - EVERYONE feels like a suspect). Normally I feel pretty confident about who the bad guys is, but this time I never saw it coming! Overall this was a really great start to a series & I can’t wait to read the rest of it! “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘥𝘰𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘦. Currently Reading: #TheCautiousTravellersGuidetotheWastelands by @sarah_l_brooks. Will be published 20th June by @orionbooks @wnbooks, thank you to them & @netgalley for the ARC. Synopsis: It is said there is a price that every passenger must pay. A price beyond the cost of a ticket. It is the end of the 19th Century and the world is awash with marvels. But there is nothing so marvellous as the Wastelands: a terrain of terrible miracles that lies between Beijing and Moscow. Nothing touches this abandoned wilderness except the Great Trans-Siberian Express: an impenetrable train built to carry cargo across continents, but which now transports anyone who dares to cross the shadowy Wastelands. On to the platform steps a curious cast of characters: a grieving woman with a borrowed name, a famous child born on the train and a disgraced naturalist, all heading for the Great Exhibition in Moscow. But the old rules are changing, and there are whispers that the train isn't safe. As secrets and stories begin to unravel the passengers and crew must survive their journey through the Wastelands together, even as something uncontrollable seems to be breaking in . . . #bookblogger #currentlyreading #tbr #bookstagram #booklover #booksarelife #toberead #booksofinstagram #booksofig #bookcollector #bookalicious #tbrpile #bookaddict #booksaretoberead #epicreads #alwaysreading #bookfeature #bookstagramfeature #bookishlove #bookloversofinstagram #reading #readingrecommendations #bookcommunity #bookaholic #bookstagramnewbie #readingobsessed

The writing was beautiful and reminded me so much of the style from A Study in Drowning and Divine Rivals - but with more fantasy elements. Witches are becoming top tier for me in fantasy books! Both Gideon and Rune have my entire heart. They are true enemies, yet I am still rooting for both of them. Their stories are each heartbreaking in their own way. I also loved that this was dual POV, getting both of their thoughts was perfection. This ending had be absolutely screaming. Sincerely apologize to @britbythebook for my most unhinged thoughts and messages when I started piecing things together because I really thought I was losing my mind. I do not know how on earth I am going to wait until February for the second book. It left me in tears, unsettled and worried for both Gideon and Rune ! What’s a book ending that left you in complete shock?! 🫶🏼
