Just wanted to share my in depth response to AF when they told me I was an inspiration 🥲 & I would be their member highlight. 3 questions… ⭐️ What’s your go to exercise? 🙌 Anything with the Swiss ball so I need to activate more muscles during that exercise to help with balance and core strength. 🙌 also try to do a variety of single leg exercises for running stability & power. 🏃‍♀️ 💥 🙌 This will also set me up for prevention of falls as I continue to age 👵 ⭐️ why do you train? A lot of reasons; ❤️ To temporarily escape from my kids - whom I do adore 🤣 👧🏼 👧🏼 ❤️ Because I know how important it is to maintain muscle & fitness as I age 💪 ❤️ Prevention of disease especially osteoporosis for me & promote longevity 🦴 But movement is critical for so much more … ♥️ heart health, arthritis, diabetes, 🩸 insulin resistance, healthy weight ⚖️ , joint stability, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, 🧠 mental health, …. The list goes on . ❤️ I always feel good afterwards! 🙌 💃 ❤️ Monkey see monkey do 🐵 My girls will grow up knowing that movement is a part of lifestyle. Lead by example & set the foundation. ⭐️ Any advice to give to someone who is struggling to find motivation? ✅ Most importantly always set yourself achievable goals. That could be a productive 30mins session, 3 times a week to start off. 🥅 ✅ Plan your days out and times for movement ⏰ 📅 ✅ Everyone struggles to get to the gym, or go for that walk, or run…. 👇🏽 What your Phone is doing to your Brain 🧠💥 Technology is an incredible tool, however when abused and used for the wrong reasons it can become a lethal weapon against our mental and physical health! 💯 The key is AWARENESS! 🔑 To be aware of our behavior at every moment of the day! Are we spending our time wisely? or are we allowing ourselves to be sucked in to an artificial reality that is consuming our mental and physical resources? Which reality is more important to you? The one in your immediate physical surroundings which allows life to take place? OR the one through a device that can literally mind control us, if we are not cognizant, careful and intentional with our usage. Are you earning your Dopamine or are you getting it given on a plate with some icing on top 🍭 I personally use my phone extremely strategically, this is why I may not always answer you straight away, when you message me or comment on my posts. I set myself boundaries about how long and what I do with my devices. This way I can keep a healthy relationship, knowing I am not allowing myself to be consumed by all the mainstream social media apps.
