May 19th, 2024 will always hold a special place in my heart. When our daughter, Innomama, decided to pursue an international Bachelorette program at the @uwccostarica United World College Costa Rica in 2022, we had no idea what was in store for her. We had heard about the challenges and the prestige of the program, but her determination and resilience have truly been inspiring. It’s been a remarkable journey, and I now understand why only God knows the end from the beginning. Despite the difficulties, I am grateful for the values and genuine connections she has formed, as well as the impact she has had on others. Even before her graduation, I was moved to tears listening to Amaram Onye nwem (I know the God who owns me) - a reminder that He never forgets His own. The road has been tough, but her perseverance can only be attributed to God’s grace. I am returning all the praise and glory to Him. Whatever challenges you may be facing, hold tightly to your faith. ✨️ 17 months since conquering Cancer 💛🎗 🏋🏼♀️ I'm the happiest when I celebrate it in the gym, with my amazing Session Team. To be honest, I've never enjoyed gym more than I have in recent months, establishing new routines. 🦸🏼♀️ Knowing how sick I was, I feel soooo happy and strong seeing myself in the mirror crushing it through sweat. And cursing, cause f***, it's hard🤪 But I am so PROUD of my body for delivering the strength I thought was not reachable this fast. 🥹 My body went through hell the past few years - before, during, and even after the Cancer. And I lost self-confidence along the way. As a result, I shut myself down from the public and crawled away to a long journey of inner healing. The most uncomfortable journey, that opened all the unprocessed traumas. Another level of intimacy. Vulnerability. Awareness. And crucially important, yet often ignored - emotional health. You know, the question "How are you?". But, seriously: "How are you?" 💛 💌 I'm writing this to emphasize that everyone has their journey, with a rollercoaster of hurdles. That we possibly know nothing about. 🫂 I had to reach the bottom of trying to figure out my hardships by myself when I finally made that one big decision 2y ago. When I finally silenced my ego and got the courage to ask for help. From my Therapist. Knowing absolutely nothing about how therapy works, what do I do, how do I start. I just knew I needed professional support. 🤗 The rest is history...I've never had the amount of support I now have. She gave me a safe place, and Cancer gave me that push to ask for help. When you realize you might not survive, you realize the fear of asking and being rejected, or being ashamed, is way smaller than the fear of not living. 🙏 Big THANK YOU to my Family (Mom nr 1), my Therapist, my Friends, my Gym, my Mentors, my NYC, and all the beautiful community who's been my great support and said "yes". •PILATES...BARRE!🧘🏻♀️• La principale novità della lezione di Pilates Barre, è certamente il ritmo musicale. La musica è uno strumento per gestire l’intensità dell’allenamento.🎼 Non costituirà più quindi un semplice sottofondo ma scandirà il tempo, la velocità, il ritmo nell’esecuzione della routine. Proprio grazie a ciò, uno degli obiettivi di questo nuovo training sarà il miglioramento dell’apparato cardio-vascolare, andando così a completare una delle cosiddette lacune del metodo.🫀 STRUTTURA DELLA LEZIONE La lezione viene suddivisa in tre parti: 🔥Warm up al centro Posizioni e movimenti base della danza integrate ai classici esercizi di riscaldamento del matwork standing; 📊Routine alla barre Sequenze di esercizi a intensità crescente che prevedono l’alternanza tra un tendu e One Leg circle, tra un battememt e un swimming, tra un plié relevé e uno spine twist; 🙏🏼Fase finale sul mat (con o senza props) a compensare i distretti muscolari caduti nell’oblio durante le routine.
