Children are spending more time indoors, missing out on the incredible benefits of outdoor play and exercise, particularly bone and muscle growth, brain development, building of immunity, learning life skills and good quality sleep. The WHO has set Guidelines for physical activity in children: * Children under 5 years: must be active most of the day. * Children between ages 6-17 years: At least 60 mins of moderate to intense physical activity (walking, cycling, skating) daily; in addition to 3 days of vigorous physical activity (running swimming, dance, badminton, skipping) in a week, preferably daily. * Strengthening and balance: Include exercises like squats, lunges, and yoga. Hmmm The study published in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research found that recent cannabis use was associated with marginally higher daily light physical activity (LPA) compared to non-users, but no differences in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) or sedentary time. The researchers noted that the observed difference in LPA was of unclear clinical significance. Other recent studies have similarly challenged the persistent “lazy stoner” stereotype, finding that cannabis use is not necessarily associated with decreased motivation or physical activity levels. The emerging research suggests the cannabis user demographic is diverse and the relationship between cannabis and physical activity is more complex than previously assumed. We could all use a little break here and there 👍🏽. @GaryVee stated, "You're going to lose if you want to go fast." 👉🏽 Breaks help increase productivity, and they also enhance the satisfaction of our work. What is awesome about this productivity hack is you only need a timer and some FOCUS! Have you ever used the 50/10 rule? During the 10-minute break, we recommend: 🔹 A bathroom break 🔹 Drink some water 🔹 Go for a 2-minute walk - really, get up and move around a bit. 🔹 Some deep breathing while you focus on what you are grateful for. For your deep breathing, we recommend: 🔹 5 seconds breathing in - taking care to expand deeply into your lower and upper lungs. 🔹 A 4-second hold. 🔹 5-second exhale 🔹 Retain and hold your breath for a count of 5, and repeat the cycle for 3 minutes.
