As we enter into our Power Phase, we are taking our training up another level. This phase is all about combining strength with explosiveness, pushing ourselves further than we ever have before. From heavy lifts paired with fast or explosive movements, we are going full speed ahead towards our fitness goals. The past 7 weeks we have been building a solid foundation to lead us into this next phase of training! They all strength train in one way or another. Be it lifting weights or even body weight. Strength training has an enormous impact on how your body looks and feels. They all base their diets around good quality protein. Having a high protein diet will lead to better recovery from exercise and help bring body fat to a healthy level. They sleep good as sleep is so important for energy, recovery and appetite. If you sleep more you tend to not crave high possessed foods as much. They all move more in their day to day lives like walk daily and other activities. You dont need to run 10k but just moving your body is going to really help. So, what should you do?? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To ensure you’re getting the necessary muscular balance and progressive overload, you should make fitness classes PART of your routine, rather than your whole routine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣ Start by creating a strength training program that splits, and accurately hits on, all major muscle groups. Utilize compound movements as well as isolation movements to address any weaknesses or imbalances. I created ReGainU after having my son…but only after struggling for almost a year to feel like myself Even though I was “doing all the things,” it wasn’t working I finally came up with a new & sustainable strategy and and the rest was history- I felt like myself again and I looked life myself again (You know when you just don’t “look” like your normal self when your health & fitness routine was put on pause for a bit) I promised myself that post partum journey #2 was going to be different from the start Rather than thinking solely about weight loss and “getting my body back,” I focused on the ReGainU strategies and had all of these new wins👇 -found a more sustainable approach to maintain balance -stopped doing it for weight loss & focused on regaining muscle -didn’t restrict foods (which also avoided binging because I wasn’t depriving myself) -lowered expectations of having perfect workouts and just stayed consistent with short ones…which led me to enjoying them more - learned how much I need and like support around me even though I think I’m stubbornly independent -detached myself from the exact weight I was lifting and focused on feeling my muscles with living room workouts (and only DBs and bands) These are thing I NEVER would have “just accepted” for myself before- I would have fought them every time But I took a step back and reflected on the LIFE I wanted AND how I could implement actions to have the perfect balance of it all If I could do it, so can you- you just need the right information, the science, and the support ✌️doors close for ReGainU today- DM me if you want to have a quick phone or zoom chat today to discuss details! #postpartum #postpartumjourney #balancedlifestyle #weightlossprogram #strengthtrainingprogram #strengthtrainingforwomen #buildmuscle #liftweights #womenwholift #healthylifestyle #healthymindset

👋🏼OPEN ME 👋🏼 In yesterday’s group coaching call, we went over these 4 foundational habits, in order of importance, that help make up a healthy lifestyle & help us get more out of our time in the gym. 1) Sleep 2) Hydration 3) Nutrition 4) Exercise We went over this because often prioritize our exercise (which is great!) yet can’t seem to find time to meal plan or meal prep & that’s what we have backwards in terms of understanding where to spend our time to bring the change we want to see. ❗️Our goals are driven by nutrition and enhanced by exercise. If we have goals to lose fat/weight, maintain our weight, or to gain muscle, our nutrition is going to be the driver in those goals, NOT our exercise. If we are finding time to get in 5 lifts each week, but don’t have time to meal plan or prep... 🤔Then we need to sacrifice some of that time we would be spending exercising and use that time to meal plan & prep to set up our week for success and support our workouts! This is why having a coach to help guide you in making choices comes in handy... 👉🏼Ex: If we haven’t slept great, if we haven’t been properly hydrating, if we aren’t eating enough balanced food... then why are we prioritizing resistance training? Guidance like this can help us recognize it’s OK to not be able to do all of the things. 🙌🏼Instead of focusing on what we CAN’T do, understanding these 4 foundational habits can be helpful to identify what we CAN do. If you don’t have time for a workout, you can still nail our nutrition, hydration, and get a good night’s rest. 🎉If that’s all you can do, then you just gave 100% and that’s incredible! It’s not about what you can’t do, it’s about identifying what you CAN do and doing that. When you have information like this to help us identify what we can do to help us identify how to KEEP GOING, rather than get discouraged & think we’re failing. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻Sometimes, we just need to learn what “working smarter” means, so we can be in a better position to know where to focus our efforts to keep us moving forward.
