Prep is know for having boring food, but without staying consistent and doing the boring stuff you wont get to see the results. I started prep 40 days ago and am at an all time low weighing in at 220. I feel great and my strength has declined at all, I have actually been getting stronger and growing throughout the prep. There is no cheat code or life hack, sometimes you have to grind out the boring stuff. I have been using a @evogennutrition protein, enzymes, and multivitamins. All of which i got from @s2faction . Travel and vacations can throw off our system and cause us to become constipated. Eating and drinking different things, change in sleeping patterns and even a different toilet can all play a part 😝 So what can you do?. . Have you seen the Porta-squatty from @squattypotty ? This evening's supper is a basically a clean taco salad. But no chips and no cheese. Base of lettuce (I usually like Romaine, but used Iceberg), 6 oz. taco meat, about 1.5 oz batch-cooked cilantro-lime rice, 1.5 oz. black beans, pickled jalapenos, cherry tomatoes, avocado, mini red pepper with a scoop of Greek yogurt and fresh cilantro. While losing weight, I mostly ate chicken breast since it is so versatile, but for beef-based dishes, I'd use 93% ground beef. This taco salad could very easily be done as a wrap too. Would it be better with chips and shredded cheese? Of course. Do I prefer having a size 32 waist instead of a size 46 waist and gut issues? Vacation time!☀️🌴. . You are on vacation so absolutely: dance 💃, stay up late, sleep in, indulge in treats 🧁 🍨 and cocktails 🍹. Remember a week off your schedule won’t break you! You did not make all your gainz in one week!💪🏻. . But if you are like me and don’t want to stray too far off course here are some ideas:. . -Stay hydrated!!! 💦 Drink at least 100-128 oz of water. . -Run or walk. Just pack the shoes and you are off! (Or barefoot in the sand!) I love running in new places: best way to go sightseeing and discover hidden beauty 😍. . -Plan healthy snacks and bring your supplements. @1stphorm @s2faction protein sticks and protein bars are the best! You can also easily pack up individual servings of your supplements in ziplock bags. . -Stay active and move your body. The #1 supplement I recommend to new clients is …. PROTEIN Most are not consuming enough as is throughout the day and if they’re not consuming enough then I know for a fact they are probably not doing anything post workout and their protein is not where it needs to be to achieve the results they want whether it’s fat loss or weight gain. whey protein is the MOST bioavailable form of protein meaning it absorbs and can be used by your body quickest which helps with recovery and building or maintaining lean muscle. However, you still want to keep in mind not all whey proteins are created equal. Look for: - if it’s Low temperature processed (these proteins are nicer on your stomach and don’t make you feel bloated or gassy) - powder form… quit asking if a protein drink like Fairlife or Jocko Milk is better it’s not.. if you’re in a bind sure but it’s still not as bioavailable. - Isolate or sustained assimilation/meal replacement (there is a difference! Isolates are post workout and mrps are for snacks/meals/smoothies etc) Be mindful of what’s in your shaker cup! 5-19-2024 Sprint Triathlon! . Goals: -finish✅️ -have better transition times than last time✅️ -enjoy it/have fun✅️ . Previous PR: 1:49:08 Current PR: 1:38:04!! PR'd by 11:04!😄 . Segment splits: Swim- 23:42 T1- 1:30 Bike- 45:37 T2- 0:57 Run- 26:17 . I placed 3rd in my age group!! This was with only a week of specifically training for it, 3 weeks post marathon, and 5 hours of sleep (I normally get 8+). I plan on another sprint tri this summer with more time to train, get another PR, and maybe another medal. . Things I've learned: • Practice grabbing food/water on the bike. I put water on my left side and it was more difficult than it should've been to grab. It should've been on my right side because it's easier to balance. •Get clip in shoes or the pedals that have straps. I spent too much time trying to get the right foot placement. •Transitions aren't the time to slow down. It's the time to focus on the next section of the race and move fast. This is where I was able to cut a total of 5:19 from my previous time. . Big shoutout to my mom & @kathy.b.wagner9 for being there to cheer me on. . I love running, but it's nice to switch it up with triathlons. . Roll and Embrace with Life’s Punches A lot has happened this year that were unexpected, but I know God had a reasoning for these events to make me grow as an individual. As someone who is reserved and doesn’t like to talk about struggles or roadblocks, this prep season gave me the mindset of being blessed to have made it all the way to the end. Being in graduate school while helping run a family business, I knew adding more responsibilities was not going to be an easy task, but my ambitious side wanted to do the work. With countless restless nights, unlucky days, school workload, managing to train and walk with a lingering torn iliacus, and house being broken into, I was physically and mentally drained. Seeing my family scarred and people I care about working hard, I knew I had to stand tall and do whatever it takes without any complaints nor excuses. For that, words can’t express how much I appreciate and cherish these special people making me the character I am today. To my coach and brother @chasengainz , thank you for sticking with me till the end even with the amount of roadblocks occurred. From meeting you from the beginning I had a feeling we would click and knew I made the right choice to represent one of the hardest working individuals I ever met wanting to do more in life and bodybuilding. We delivered a package that I wouldn’t have imagined attaining without your support and coaching strategy. With the results of how the show went, I know people will tell me that maybe this isn’t meant for me, but I don’t know how to quit. I’m rather excited and itching to improve more knowing I can survive in hell and make it back out with any curveball life throws at me. The possibility of competing this year is very likely, but will be up to coach’s decision. Excited about our week ahead of sun, sand, sunsets and no schedule! 🙌🏻. . We plan to spend more time making dinner vs going out and do our theme nights: Shrimp boil, Mexican, Italian, Pizza…. Our drive down was almost all in rain. Yesterday morning into afternoon was all rain.. 😝. . But it stopped and last night’s sunset was beautiful! 🥰. . “Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, every day can end beautifully.” . Time goes by way too fast. I’ve been focusing solely on whole foods here recently. Just meats, greek yogurt, fruits, rice, and a post workout shake after lifts. . How great I feel is hard to explain but I’m no longer dragging through the days and I have motivation to be in the gym to lift hard as hell. Weight has been dropping fast!! . Gotta say this round of OTP is going great! 💪🏼

Here’s a few movements from my back day a couple weeks ago. Full workout below ⬇️ Disclaimer: I am training for hypertrophy, so I don’t ego lift and move a ton of weight. I keep constant tension on the muscle and fatigue the muscle group fully that I am trying to hit. Coached my first client @braxpumps into his first all natural show. We did a 12 weeks prep and everything worked as anticipated. We made little adjustments along the way and come show day he was dialed in! I’m very pleased with the package we brought to the stage. Bodybuilding Men’s Lightweight - 1st True Novice - 1st Novice - 1st Open Unfortunately Lost in the overall, but bringing home 3 medals. The winner had killer back and hamstrings. He’s got some work in those two areas, but outside of that his next coach will have a great client capable of bringing a killer package to any stage! I appreciate the opportunity to coach and see what I was capable of bringing to the stage as well as the athlete.

From around my late 20s to late 40s, I led a generally sedentary lifestyle. There have been many, many days, where I’ve sat in front of my computer for literally 14 hours working. But in 2022, I made a pronounced change to my physical life and somehow, I’ve been able to maintain a new, very physical lifestyle, for almost two years. I started running in August of 2022. I started lifting weights in October of 2022. I did started lap swimming two or three times a week at the Washington pool last summer. I occasionally ride a bike. I want to go rowing. I want to hike a 14er. I enjoy physical labor, just for the challenge of it. I’ve established a lifestyle that includes intentional physical exercise that is just as regular and routine as sleeping or eating. I treat it as a normal, yet required, part of my life. It is part of who I am. Nothing more, nothing less. That said, I intentionally (almost) never go hard or grind or do anything that I wouldn’t be capable of maintaining for the next 30 years of my life. I’m not training for anything, though I may do a triathlon at some point (I did complete a half-marathon). I’m not trying to hit lift goals, though I try to lift in a way that I’m getting stronger and always adding weight (I wouldn’t mind legitimate pecs haha). I call my workouts “zen-style” or “chill workouts.” I say this to encourage people to include intentional movement in their lifestyle. Just enough to raise the heart rate. Not too much to risk injury. Something you could do forever. Because it will change your life. I returned home this evening after dark from a nephew’s graduation party. I ate out healthy (Chipotle – double protein, half rice, half beans, no cheese), but I did enjoy some treats. It was 10:30pm, but I decided to go ahead and burn a few extra calories and mark my workout calendar with an aerobic workout. I completed a five-mile bike ride with my head lamp. I pushed, but not too hard. Got the heart rate up, but not too far. I sweated, but not too much. I’ll sleep well tonight. #fitlife #healthyhabits #1stphorm #s2faction
