This Mental Health Awareness Month, I urge my fellow heroes to remember the importance of raising awareness and seeking help, and also to extend compassion to those we respond to. ๐ข Statistics That Demand Our Attention: 1 in 5 adults in the US experiences mental illness each year. Nearly 50% of people with mental health issues don't seek help. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in young people aged 10-34. Raising awareness breaks the stigma and encourages open dialogue about mental health. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness but an act of strength and self-care. It's essential for our well-being, and it's the path to healing and resilience. ๐๐ช But let's also remember to extend compassion to those we serve.
