I was haunted by the realization of how vulnerable children can be at the hands of mentally sick, dangerous people and how easily abuse can be shielded from the outside world. 🦴 Book review 🦴 I’ve had #red by #jackketchum on my kindle for 10 years 🤦♀️. I finally read it last weekend and WOW! I think everyone knows the dog dies at the beginning in a senseless act of violence. I then thought our protagonist would go all Nicholas Cage rage… but no. Red is a quiet revenge story, and I loved it. It’s been a good 10 years since I read any Ketchum, and I remember really loving his writing style. Red has this style- his prose has a certain lilt to it. The story moves along quietly and quickly and has a certain timeless quality about it. There is a lot of grief packed into it. A quick post to shout-out the first book I've been able to finish in under three days for a long time! I always thought I was a slow reader but with the rate I got through this novel, I've realised if the writing style is as gripping as Jack Ketchum's, I can get through a novel with ease. This is a very dark book, inspired by the real life case of Sylvia Likens. The novel explores the torture she endured at the hands of her guardian and the neighbourhood kids from a fictionalised point of view. Due to this, it is an incredibly difficult and horrific read. As someone who loves horror, I found this novel so gripping but knowing it's based on a true story really does make it hard to think about. To know that what happened in real life was even worse is horrendous. Despite this, the exploration of the human mind and the darkness it is capable of is portrayed so well throughout this novel, and Ketchum's writing is so engrossing, that it was something I was able to speed through. My praise aside, this is not a book I would recommend to everyone. To me, it is a five star read, but to others I think this would be a book they would never want to touch. If you're interested in horror and/or true crime, I would recommend this novel, but even then, I would advise you to be wary. Wie böse kann ein Buch sein? Ja! Es ist nun schon einige Jahre her, dass ich dieses Buch damals in meiner Ausbildungszeit auf einem Grabbeltisch als Mängelexemplar gekauft und danach gelesen habe. Und das Buch hat mir so gut gefallen, dass es mir bis heute gut in Erinnerung geblieben ist. Die Geschichte basiert auf wahren Begebenheiten, soweit ich weiß. In einem amerikanischen Vorort erlebt eine Teenagerin die Hölle auf Erden und erlebt, zu was Menschen fähig sind. Das ganze wird äußerst schonungslos erzählt und ist für manche vielleicht gar nicht so einfach zu ertragen. Trotzdem hat das Buch einen Sog und man liest weiter und weiter und ist schockiert. Für mich ein moderner Klassiker. Witaj ponownie Kiedy ostatnio autor, którego bardzo lubisz, srogo Cię rozczarował? Nie sądziłam, że Ketchum mógł napisać coś, co tak bardzo mi się nie spodoba. Aspekty, na które narzekałem przy okazji “Jedynego dziecka” tu eskalowały do ekstremum. Ale od początku - “Przeprawa” to krótka historia utrzymana w ramach westernu, gdzie grupka kowboi na prośbę pewnej “damy” podejmuje się zadania odbicia jej siostry z przybytku paserów (oględnie rzecz ujmując), a to wszystko w towarzystwie koni i problemów na tle rasowym. Największym problemem fabuły jest to, że autor tratuje ją po macoszemu, żeby skupić się na obrazach związanych z łowcami niewolnic i przymusowymi zbliżeniami opisanymi w bardzo naturalistyczny, odrażający i nie wnoszący nic do worldbuildingu sposób 😫 Nie czepiałabym się tego, gdyby powyższe sceny miały czemuś służyć, ukazywać bohaterów lub rozjaśniać ich motywacje. Jednak w tym przypadku chodzi o przemoc dla samej przemocy. Dużo większe wrażenie (na mnie) zrobił opis samych obrażeń, a nie aktu ich powstawania, szczególnie, kiedy ich “nadawcą” był bliżej nieokreślony bohater zbiorowy w postaci tłumu kupców. Poza tym całość jest zaskakująco nijaka. Zdecydowanie nie polecam, bo w historii nie ma nic interesującego, ani kształcącego. Nie widzę powodu, żeby się za to zabierać i chciałabym odzyskać moje 3 godziny…

De hecho no es un libro para una gran parte del mundo. Ni siquiera yo, que suelo disfrutar de las historias de terror y bastante turbias, puedo decir que haya disfrutado de este libro. Pero es un buen libro, está demasiado bien escrito y además es tan ágil que se lee solo. El problema es su contenido. Es el libro perfecto para arruinarte el día y para dejarte el estómago sin ganas de cenar. ¿Lo recomiendo? Si, claro, pero no a todo el mundo, de hecho una parte de mí se arrepiente de haberlo leído porque llega a puntos bastante extremos. Aunque lo que más me ha hecho pasarlo mal con esta novela es que... Es demasiado real. Es tan real que ni siquiera puedes convertirlo en algo frívolo y disfrutarlo como disfrutarías de cualquier película de terror fuerte. Es algo real, algo que podría ocurrir, ocurre y ocurrió. No puedo decir mucho más. En abril también leí en #lecturaconjunta en el grupo #Nosolodenovedadesviveellector de @latrincheradelasletras y @letrasdecoloresoficial esta, para mí, obra cumbre del terror titulada La chica de al lado de Jack Ketchum publicada por @labibliotecadecarfax . Además la leí con @madcowentodo al alimón; capítulo a capítulo íbamos leyendo, parando y comentando el horror que nos despertaba. Basada en hechos reales, esta novela de terror está localizada en un pueblo de la América profunda en los años 50, cuando los castigos físicos de padres a hijos eran normales y el pegar el marido a la mujer también era considerado de lo más corriente, sobre todo en familias con poca educación y bajo estatus social. En este ambiente, el protagonista recuerda su infancia durante un tórrido verano cuando a la casa de sus vecinos llegaron dos primas que habían quedado huérfanas tras un desgraciado accidente. La madre de sus amigos (madre soltera tras el abandono del hogar del padre), se hace cargo de las niñas y pronto empieza a darse un trato "rarito" con la mayor. Y hasta aquí podemos leer. Una de las lecturas en las que peor lo he pasado leyendo durante y después, cuando me he puesto a investigar y he sabido que lo que pasó realmente fue mucho peor que lo que se relata en el libro. Como siempre se dice, y es verdad... Acabo de leer "La chica de al lado" (2006, La factoría de ideas, 2020), de Jack Ketchum. ¡¡Uffff, cuánto me cuesta hacer esta reseña!! Me metí de lleno en la lectura sin saber de qué iba, solo que era un libro "fuerte", de los que a mí me gustan. No sabía que está basado en una historia real, parece que mucho más fuerte aún que la novela. De todas formas, creí poder con lo que allí se me contara, pero... no ha sido así. Después de leer libros duros de todo tipo, especialmente sobre la vida en campos de concentración nazi, que es mi monotema, creí que superaría este. Sucedió cuando llevaba poco más de la mitad. Sobrepasada por la crueldad de la historia, empecé a leer en diagonal para ahorrarme algún mal trago, pero no fue posible, todo el texto lo era, así que decidí abandonar. De las pocas veces que lo hago. No me vi con fuerzas para seguir a estos niños, liderados por esa madre/vecina, en su escalada hacia el horror absoluto. Sentía que si seguía leyendo yo también sería cómplice, como lo fue David, que sabía y no hacía nada. El autor, que escribe maravillosamente bien, tiene la cualidad de ponernos en esa tesitura: miradas cómplices. Nos planteamos muchas cosas al leer esta obra, pero la básica es: "¿Es el ser humano intrínsecamente malvado y solo le salva esa pátina de civilización que hace que nos podamos relacionar sin aplastarnos los unos a los otros? Es inquietante saber que esto ocurrió, en un barrio normal de un país muy desarrollado, y que los autores fueron niños, guiados en este caso por una mujer entrando en la locura. Pero, ¿no les recuerda a "El señor de las moscas"? Ahí los niños estaban solos, ¿surgió espontáneamente la maldad de los seres humanos? No pude, no pudo ser, no fue... A különbség, hogy ebben a részben a vadembereket és a szokásaikat illetve gondolkodás módjukat is sokkal jobban megismerhetjük. Már nevesítve vannak, bár ettől nem kerülnek közelebb az olvasóhoz. Ami számomra pozitívum volt, hogy én kevesebbnek éreztem a brutális jelenetet. Ehelyett több helyet kapott a család és a nyomozó életének bemutatása, illetve egy kis csavar is bekúszott Claire volt férjén keresztül. Sok újdonságot nem hozott, de ezt nem is vártam, hiszen ennek a sorozatnak nem is ez a lényege. Inkább a kannibalizmust és a vademberek brutalitását szolgál bemutatni, illetve a civilizáció hiányának a következményét. Ami miatt nekem ez a rész jobban tetszett az előzőnél, az a kevesebb gyomorforgató részlet, és emiatt az olvashatóbbsága. Persze ha valaki azt várja amit a Holt idénytől kapott, ne féljen, itt is van épp elég véres és hátborzongató jelenet! Ketchum érdemes a figyelemre, már csak a különc írói stílusa és a nyers vadsága miatt is. My Thoughts: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Off Season is a book I've had on my tbr for a really long time. Though it takes it's time, what it lacks in pacing, it makes up for in depravity violence and gore. I really loved this book. From beginning to end I was invested and couldn't look away. The feeling of dread is palpable all throughout, as you are well aware what is coming for these group of friends. The scenes of violence and gore were well described and left very little to the imagination. The entire book just gives the most uneasy feeling but, in the best possible way. This family of feral, cave dwelling cannibals will take you on a wild ride and leave you clutching your pearls in horror. Que o lo amas o lo odias. Y yo, tras haberlo reposado un tiempo… Creo que lo amo. Y ojo, digo “creo” porque es imposible que este libro te guste en el sentido más puro de la palabra, ya que es desagradable, impactante en el peor sentido y terriblemente triste. Pero es justamente todas esas emociones las que el autor pretende transmitirte, y es por eso que para mí, ha sido perfecto. A las personas que nos aventuramos a meternos en una historia de estas características, nos gusta pasarlo mal. Y, sin duda, La chica de al lado ha sido el libro con el que peor lo he pasado en toda mi vida. Destacó positivamente lo bien construida que está la psicología de David. De cómo llegas a comprender, a través de sus ojos hasta donde es capaz de llegar el ser humano cuando deshumaniza a otra persona. También la villana principal de esta historia, Ruth Chandler, llega a convertirse en un personaje inolvidable por lo cruel, despiadada y terrible que llega a ser. He llorado con este libro de la tristeza de ver la desesperación de Meg. Y considero que Jack Ketchum es capaz de ser explícito sin regodearse en lo vulgar. Te deja entrever cosas que pasan sin narrarlas de forma explícita, lo que hace aún peor todo eso que se queda inevitablemente a expensas de ser completado en tu imaginación… El ritmo de la historia ha sido muy bueno, aumentando de nivel poco a poco hasta llegar a un desenlace inevitable y mucho más esperanzador del que lo fue en la vida real de Sylvia Likens. No tengo nada negativo que decir de esta historia, más allá de que NO ES PARA TODO EL MUNDO. Y de que te informes muy a conciencia sobre los trigger warnings en ella antes de atreverte a leerla. "Dziewczyna z sąsiedztwa" Jack Ketchum Naprawdę wstrząsająca historia torturowanej nastolatki przez rodzinę zastępczą. Znęcała się nad nią nie tylko prawna opiekunka Ruth, ale również jej dzieci oraz dzieci sąsiadów. Połączył ich sekret i przez wiele tygodni nikt nie zareagował, nikt nie zdradził tajemnicy... Historia pisana jest z perspektywy jednego z chłopców. Wraz z coraz okrutniejszym traktowaniem nastoletniej Meg, w Davidzie zachodziła pewna przemiana. Chyba najgorsza myśl, która mi towarzyszyła podczas czytania tej książki to, że jest ona inspirowana prawdziwymi wydarzeniami. Wiadomo, że usunięto z niej niektóre fragmenty, bo byłyby zbyt drastyczne dla czytelnika. Książka budzi wiele emocji, ale jak wspomniałam, historia jest wyjątkowa. P.S. He odiado cada palabra de este libro, no podía dejar de pensar que estaba basado en hechos reales y me ha puesto enferma… HORRIBLE! Ojo, no soy nueva en el terror ni tampoco en el terror extremo ni el splatterpunk, pero lo de este libro NO ESTÁ BIEN. Crear una historia para entretenimiento del lector de ficción en torno a la tortura y asesinato de una joven real, de carne y hueso... uff simplemente no. ✌🏻Two for Tuesday✌🏻 Jack Ketchum. The name in horror circles is well known. Perhaps not as well as Stephen King—but the master himself has blurbs on both of these pictured novels and the two other I own, too. It’s what drew me to him originally, along with many of my horror peeps telling me I absolutely had to read him. What you’ll find when you experience Ketchum is visceral horror. Blood and guts and the whole nine yards. Depravity. Descriptive, abject terror. You really have to be in the mood for this kind of nastiness. That said, he’s a fully engaging storyteller, weaving tales of overwhelming shock, disgust,and fear. I wouldn’t go as far as calling his work splatterpunk per se, but I also wouldn’t say it’s for every horror fan. It’s raw, it’s brutal, and there is no release. Many people claim THE GIRL NEXT DOOR as their favorite Ketchum book. But I’ve always felt the opposite. It’s admittedly dark and filled with the torture of another human being, and it just sinks to such a level of depravity and degradation that I nearly threw it against a wall. I think knowing the story has some basis of truth (google it, I’m not writing it here) gave me a sense of just….nah, really?? OFF SEASON is Ketchum’s first book, a story about a family of back woods cannibals that is inspired by the legend of Sawney Bean. Needless to say, it’s full of graphic, no-holds barred violence. Can’t get much nastier than people eating other people. THE LOST is about a crazy sociopath who eludes capture because his two friends just let him get away with murder and mayhem, and then follow him in an almost Charlie Manson kind of way, with the police trying to put the puzzle pieces together. But it’s not your average detective novel, no way. Both are worthy reads but I definitely have to pre-warn about the extreme debauchery and bleakness. Know your limits. A sztori felépítése bár most is hasonló, de a cselekménybonyolítás már kicsit másabb – de talán az átlátszó hatásvadászat most is megvan. A görcsös öklendezési reflexek helyett a pszichére is jobban hat, de azért mondanivalójában, vagy rétegzettségében szintén nincs annyira mély, mint elődje. A szórakoztatófaktor azonban hasonló. Chociaż nigdy nie przepadałam za westernami, a historia Meksyku nie jest czymś, w czym jestem zorientowana, to świetnie dopracowana okładka i barwione na czerwono brzegi zachęciły mnie do zapoznania się z twórczością Jacka Ketchuma, zwłaszcza, że literatura grozy jest czymś, po co sięgam chętnie, a Jack Ketchum to mistrz grozy i horroru. Tematem głównym "Przeprawy" jest niewolnictwo. Autor ukazuje oblicza handlu ludźmi, sadyzmu i potwornego cierpienia, jakie człowiekowi może zgotować tylko drugi człowiek. Arizona, rok 1848 i czas zakończenia wojny meksykańskiej. Reporter Marion T. Bell i zwiadowca John Charles Hart, poprzez zbieg okoliczności trafiają na siebie, a później na młodą, ranną Meksykankę. Elena opowiada nieznajomym swoją historię, toczącą się w obozie niewolników. Nie brakuje w niej brutalności i okrucieństwa, jakie wyrządzili jej i jej młodszej siostrze ludzie, a Hart i Bell postanawiają pomóc dziewczynie dokonać zemsty. Ketchum nie raczy swoich czytelników pięknymi zdaniami i rozbudowanymi opisami. Pisze konkretnie, surowo, obrazowo. Taki styl od samego początku nadaje tej opowieści konkretnego charakteru i wyznacza prosty tor. Opisy są brutalne i dosłowne, bo takie okrucieństwo aby wybrzmieć nie potrzebuje wielu słów. Chociaż chętnie sięgam po horrory, to sposób w jaki pisze Ketchum sprawił, że wyszłam poza swoją strefę komfortu i ta historia z pewnością zostanie ze mną na dłużej. Mroczna, krwawa, obrzydliwie brutalna i dosłowna, a przy tym bardzo dynamiczna, przepełniona trudnymi emocjami- fani tego rodzaju odczuć literackich z pewnością po tej lekturze będą usatysfakcjonowani. Książka jest bardzo krótka, do pochłonięcia jednym tchem, jednak pomimo szybkości czytania z pewnością nie należy do lekkiej literatury rozrywkowej. To książka dosłowna i oszczędna w słowach, ale dzięki temu pozostawia nam miejsce na własne przemyślenia. I think after I've finished Ronald Malfi's Small Town Horror, one of my next reads is going to be Red by Jack Ketchum as well as Richard Laymons The Cellar, but more on that later this week. This book has one hell of a glowing review on Goodreads and is the oldest book mentioned in the modern bible '101 Horror Books To Read Before You're Murdered' both by @mother.horror So I feel like I'm missing out by not having dived into this one yet, and it sounds killer. The old man hears them before he sees them, the three boys coming over the hill, disturbing the peace by the river where he's fishing. He smells gun oil too, too much oil on a brand-new shotgun. These aren't hunters, they're rich kids who don't care about the river and the fish and the old man. Or his dog... Red is the name of the old man's dog, his best friend in the world. And when the boys shoot the dog - for nothing, for simple spite - he sees red, like a mist before his eyes. And before the whole thing is done there'll be more red. Red for blood... I mean, if you're a dog person I feel like you can relate to the lengths you would go to for your pooch. There were times I felt so scared and grossed out I had to take a break. I never thought I would be graced with the knowledge of knowing I can cook with the fat of a human liver (GOODBYE LOL 😵🤣). If you’ve read a story like this before (group of friends in a cabin, scary person/thing in woods) you could potentially get bored, BUT the amount of gore and horrific ways Ketchum describes the human body still gives me the willies today. Book rec! Red is a story of revenge. Simple as that. An old man and his dog become victims of three teenage boys. And in the end, well...there will be blood. I adore Jack Ketchum novels, and this is one of my top three favorites. Also, the movie version has Brian Cox, Robert Englund, Tom Sizemore, and Kyle Gallner (among others). Well worth a watch. Dzień dobry Książkoluby! Czytanie książek od dawna sprawia mi niezwykłą przyjemność, chociaż przyznam nie zawsze tak było. Najtrudniejszym czasem, w którym czytelnictwo leżało, były czasy szkoły podstawowej, ale jednak w końcu przyszedł ten “wyjątkowy” moment, w którym po prostu zaczęłam czytać, i tak zostało do dzisiaj. ➡️“Przyprawa” Jack Ketchum, to powieść, która uwiodła mnie swoją prostotą, a jednocześnie niezwykłą dawką emocji, które targają bohaterami. W książce tej pojawia się jeden z moich ulubionych motywów literackich: zemsta. Zemsta, która najlepiej smakuje na zimno. Nie jest to jednak jedyny motyw, jaki znajdziecie w tej powieści… Bo przede wszystkim książka ta opowiada o przyjaźni i o… siostrzeństwie. Chociaż jest to western i jak się domyślacie mnóstwo tu strzelanin, czy wędrówek przez prerię, tak autor powieści bardziej skupia się na relacjach, ale i na stałej akcji (nie ma czasu na nudę, no, może na krótki oddech). I to właśnie w powieści podobało mi się najbardziej: jej dynamika i nie za dużo niepotrzebnej ekspozycji. Dzięki temu książkę czyta się praktycznie jednym tchem. ➡️Ogromnym zarzutem tej książki jest to, że powieść jest zdecydowanie za krótka i po jej zakończeniu czułam niezwykle duży niedosyt. Saber que está basada en una historia real, y que el autor te dice que hubo ciertas cosas que suavizó y otras que omitió me parece aún más terrorífico. 🖋️Este libro te hace sentir incómoda, enfadada e impotente a lo largo de casi todas sus páginas. Para leerlo creo que lo mejor es ir con la idea de que va a ser una lectura dura. La pluma del autor ayuda a que no se haga tan cuesta arriba, ya que es bastante directo y no intenta frivolizar la historia. No es un libro que recomendaría a todo el mundo, ya que trata temas muy duros. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5⭐.

L'histoire de deux soeurs qui ont perdu leurs parents dans un accident et qui dorénavant doivent vivre chez leur tante germaine avec ses enfants. Tout commence bien, Meg fait la connaissance de David un autre garçon de la rue ! Avec qui elle nouera un lien particulier ! En fait , toutes les familles et les enfants de la ville ce connaissance . Et les enfants ont pour habitude de jouer ensemble. Mais dans tout ça il y a "LE JEU" celui qui viendra aux oreilles de Ruth la tatie adoptive qui finira par péter un câble à cause du départ de son ex mari et n'aura de cesse de violenter, et d' abuser des deux filles. Ce livre est d'autant plus dérangeant qu'il est basé sur des faits réels d'une part, et de l'autre, c'est qu'elle "forcera" ses enfants à faire de très vilaines choses surtout Meg. Je ne peux pas dire que j'ai aimé ni que je n'ai pas aimé simplement, je voulais enfin savoir l'issu de cette terrible histoire. L'auteur ni va pas de mains mortes avec les descriptions. Je le conseille à ceux qui ont le cœur bien accroché! C'est un livre qui restera gravé en moi tant il est bien écrit et tant les tortures sont à la limite du supportable parfois! I don’t know that any book has ever actually scared me. ⠀ Not in the horror movie / jump scare /squint your eyes because you can’t bear to see what’s on the screen / spill your popcorn way. ⠀ That’s likely because books operate on a different frequency. If any author has ever delivered a literary jump scare, I’d love to know what it is. ⠀ But plenty of books have unsettled me. ⠀ And I 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 that feeling. ⠀ You know the one. ⠀ That sense of impending doom, where you just know something bad is about to happen and even though it’s going to be terrible you can’t wait to see what it is. Troche tak i trochę nie. Arizona, rok 1848 roku, na swojej drodze stanęli: reporter Marion T. Bell i legendarny zwiadowca John Charles Hart. Podczas jednej z wypraw natkną się na Elenę – młodą i ciężko ranną Meksykanę, a ta opowiada im o tym, jak wraz z siostrą trafiły do obozu niewolników hermanas de lupo. Jej udało się uciec, nie chce jednak zostawić tam siostry. Mężczyźni postanawiają pomóc się jej zemścić. Jako okładkowa sroka skusiłam się na książkę ze względu na jej przepiękne wydanie z barwionymi brzegami i twardą oprawą. Dodatkowo zaciekawił mnie opis wydawcy i fakt, że akcja rozgrywa się na Dzikim Zachodzie. To przede wszystkim opowieść o zemście, która angażuje i pobudza emocje od współczucia do obrzydzenia ze względu na ociekające przemocą i bezsensownym okrucieństwem sceny. Jednak dla fanów horrorów to może być ogromna zaleta. Ja z twórczością Autora spotkałam się po raz pierwszy i jestem lekko zszokowana ale jednocześnie zachęcona do poznania jego innych dzieł. Podczas czytania nie ma szans na nudę jednak nim zdąrzyłam się rozpędzić to już musiałam hamować, książka jest zdecydowanie za krótka. Dlatego jeśli lubicie krótsze formy literackie, to „Przeprawa” będzie dla Was idealną rozrywką na jeden wieczór, kawa może nie zdążyć wystygnąć ale może to i dobrze bo ciepła smakuje lepiej :) _________________________________________

I have been pretty lucky recently, for a while I seemed to be finding books out in the wild I've been hunting for pretty easily. Having found some gold out on the shelves, I can't wait to read and share with you good folks. No pensé que encontraría un libro de Ketchum más brutal que «Perdición», pero me alegra haberme equivocado. Venía esquivando desde hacía rato «La chica de al lado», tal vez por una asimilación estúpida que mi cerebro hacía con «La vecina de al lado», aquella comedia del 2007 con Elisha Cuthbert. . Nada más opuesto que estas dos historias. En la novela de Ketchum no hay lugar para la comedia, ni siquiera para el humor negro. Es una historia tajante y cruda —basada en el caso real de Sylvia Likens en 1965— de cómo una mujer le permite, anima y hasta alienta a un grupo de niños, incluidos sus propios hijos, a abusar y torturar a Meg, una quinceañera que, encima, acaba de perder a sus padres en un accidente. Que la narración sea en primera persona es la joya del libro. No hay manera más directa de meterte en el infierno por el que hacen pasar a Meg. Aunque lo realmente interesante es que el narrador es uno de los participantes, un chico de doce años enamorado de ella. . El libro muestra la naturaleza salvaje y violenta de los niños, que, en el peor de los casos, podrían haber sido cualquiera de nosotros, si no nos hubieran enseñado la diferencia entre el bien y el mal. Y por si sobre todo nos hubieran alentado y premiado por satisfacer nuestros impulsos más bajos. . Conviene aclarar que no es un libro para cualquiera. No es una lectura rosa de verano. Inquieta, perturba y te deja con una sensación horrible en el estómago y en el alma. Si el tema que trata te toca demasiado —o en lo más mínimo—, no lo recomiendo en absoluto. Sería como recomendarle el «Ciempiés humano» o «A Serbian Film» a alguien que solo mira películas de Disney. .
