Cardio, back, arms and abs! This has been my favorite setup for low intensity sessions over the last 6 months or so. Break a sweat and get a pump💪 Goes a little something like this… A) 30 min zone 2ish cardio B) Vertical Pull x 15-20 x 3-4 sets C) Horizontal Pull x 15-20 x 3-4 sets D) Biceps x 15-20 x 3-4 sets E) Abs x 3-4 sets I have two of these days in my program at the moment and really enjoy having more leeway with exercise selection and overall volume / intensity for these sessions. The key thing is to make sure these low intensity days don’t cause too much fatigue and hamper the next days session which is usually higher intensity. I’ve become more convinced over the last couple years that the key to reducing injuries, aches and pains is fatigue management. It has way less to do with special exercises or mobility drills and way more to do with smart training and good recovery. I have a lot of those type of low level movements that I still love to do but honestly I think they are mostly just diversions to keep you moving while your body does what it does and heals up.

Child… this was one heck of a toner workout!!! 😳💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 We increased by 2 reps each round. Transitioned from one exercise to the other without stopping. Used lighter DBs that normally. We ended up getting to 22 reps, which put us at 132 reps of the arm exercises, 200 hollow body crunches, and 100 leg lifts in 28 minutes. 😳😅 Side note: we had to start chipping away at the arm exercises once we hit 16 reps. #theworkoutavengers #coteaulakesedition #tuesdaytone #armsandabs #lightweights

Same Person. Different time of the day. Guys walking in your purpose IS NOT easy. Not always fun. Not always glamorous. IT IS process. Today was one of those mornings that I had to dig real deep. Anybody that knows me knows I DO NOT like cold. But this morning’s cold caught me off guard. 37 degrees on April 22nd. What the He**👀 I wanted to stay in my warm bed. But you know what. My warm bed wasn’t going to help me get closer to my goals. An extra two hours sleep wasn’t going to help me achieve my goals this week. It wasn’t going to give me any content to send the people I’m working with and helping achieve their health goals. So I GOT UP. I told the emotions and feelings to SHUT UP. I’ve got work to do. Train your abs and arms together with these killer strength combos! Use a light to medium dumbbell (mine is 10LB/4.5kg). Do each move as a circuit for 3 rounds. You can either do reps (8-12) or timed (about 45 seconds of work). Take a short rest between each exercise and a longer rest between rounds. Perfect to include in your next home workout 20-30 seconds each exercise - complete all exercises in a row on one side before repeating on the other.
