Healing my relationship with food has always been a struggle in the past and when I look back… I’m beginning to realise that I don’t ever really think I was trying to heal 🥺 Everything ‘bad’ I ate deserved a punishment like not being able to each much the next day, not deserving dessert or having to go on a diet because I ‘stuffed up’. This post an acknowledgment of my ability to eat all this delicious food and simply just move on. Once you master the mindset of loving food, you’ll remember that it’s an experience, it brings us together, gives us energy and makes us stronger. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 I’m proud of the internal shift I’m noticing and if this is something you struggle this please follow along this journey of mine as I really hope it may help one person who may silently be going through the same thing 🤎 #healingjourney #foodmindset #lovefood #selflove #healthandwellnesscoach #mindsettips #mindset #instafoodie #foodie

Meet my incredible client who broke free from the ‘all or nothing’ food and exercise cycle 🚀 When this lady came to me, she was stuck in a cycle of restricting during the week and then overeating on the weekends. Come Monday then she would feel so guilty that she would be out doing extra steps to try and ‘undo the damage’. She had tried countless diets but nothing seemed to work and she felt stuck 🤷‍♀️ When she came to me, we put a plan in place. We looked at why she was overeating at the weekends and what was leading to this binge-restrict cycle in the first place. By realising that she didn’t have to restrict herself during the week, and that she could still have her favourite chocolate bar or a pizza mid week (gasp!!), she slowly began to shift her mindset around food. She began to see it as fuel and something to nourish your body with 🫶 When she gave herself permission to include these foods daily, she realised that she didn’t have these mad cravings for them anymore and she stopped feeling the need to overeat at the weekends. If you want to join this lady and start nourishing your body, DM me ‘HEALTH’ and I’ll tell you more about my coaching. #aisfitcoaching #clientservices #coaching #online #femalecoach #fatlosscoach #bingerestrictcyle #mindset #foodmindset #allornothing #allornothingmindset #clienttransformation

Mindset around food! We've all been there - I'm only eating salad. "That's it the chocolate has to stop" I don't believe in any of these things one bit! It's all a marketing ploy! Shifting our mindset to the benefits and what we can have in abundance helps us find the joy in food. I am such a foodie and have been brought up around cooking and food. I really believe food is medicine and natural beauty supplements plus a great anti depressant! Do you agree? Rebuilding self-trust with food is a journey that requires patience, self-compassion, and a willingness to confront past struggles. 💗 It's about developing a healthier relationship with food—one that is based on nourishment, pleasure, and intuition rather than rules and restrictions. Here are some steps to begin this journey: ↪️ Practice Mindful Eating: Start by tuning into your body's hunger and fullness cues. Eat slowly, savoring each bite, and pay attention to how different foods make you feel physically and emotionally. ↪️ Challenge Negative Thoughts: Recognize and challenge any negative thoughts or beliefs you have about food and your body. Replace them with more positive and affirming statements. ↪️ Ditch the Diet Mentality: Let go of restrictive diets and embrace a more flexible and balanced approach to eating. Focus on nourishing your body with a variety of foods rather than labeling foods as "good" or "bad." ↪️ Cultivate Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself as you navigate this journey. Understand that setbacks are a normal part of the process, and treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer to a friend. ↪️ Seek Support: Surround yourself with a supportive community of friends, family, or professionals who can offer encouragement and guidance along the way. ↪️ Reconnect with Hunger and Fullness: Practice tuning into your body's natural signals of hunger and fullness. Allow yourself to eat when you're hungry and stop when you're comfortably satisfied, rather than following external rules. ↪️ Focus on Health, Not Weight: Shift your focus away from weight loss and instead prioritize your overall health and well-being. This might involve engaging in enjoyable physical activities, getting enough sleep, and managing stress in healthy ways. Remember, rebuilding self-trust with food is a journey, and it's okay to take small steps forward. Celebrate your progress along the way, and be patient with yourself as you work towards a healthier and more balanced relationship with food. Share this post with someone who would benefit from reading this. 🙏

Tonights dinner.... Sea Bass. I love fish... (I love most food so I probably say that a lot 🤣) This was ready in around 15 mins... Super quick and nutritious. Start by chopping spring onions (x 3) Add a table spoon of honey, a table spoon of low salt soy (or coconut amino's), 1 diced red chilli (add more or less depending how hot you like it... For less heat take the seeds out) 1 tbsp of garlic and 1 table spoon of fresh grates ginger (I have Frozen fresh chopped garlic and ginger in the freezer) Add all these ingredients to to a bowl and stir to combine. Chop 1 x large pak choi finely and add to a hot non stick pan with olive oil....saute until tender. Add a little garlic granules while cooking for extra flavour Remove to a plate or bowl. Next add microwave whole grain rice (you can cook from scratch if you have time) remember to cook in an microwave proof bowl (never cook food in plastic if you can help it) While the rice is cooking... Add some more olive oil to the hot pan and add your seabass flesh side down. Cook for a 2-4 minutes (depending on the thickness of your fish) and this flip it so it's skin side down in the pan. Add your honey and soy mixture you made on top of the fish and let it cook through for another few minutes. The skin should be crispy, and the fish nicely cooked through and flakey. Take your rice out the microwave and add the pakchoi Serve this into your bowl first, and then add your fish with any of the sauce from the pan. Have you ever found yourself wondering, "Why does it seem like I'm always in a love-hate relationship with food?" 😥🍔 Don't worry, it's a common concern, and I've got some tips to help turn that relationship into a healthy love affair! 😉 1️⃣ Start Slow: Instead of overhauling your entire diet overnight, try incorporating healthier foods gradually. Have a salad with your pizza, or swap a side of fries for some roasted veggies.🥗🥕 2️⃣ Indulge, but moderately: If you're dreaming about that chocolate cake, have a slice! Just remember, you don't have to eat the whole cake in one go. Enjoy your treats, but in moderation. This is important because when you try to suppress all of your cravings (especially if you’re in a calorie deficit), they’ll likely come back with a vengeance.🍫 3️⃣ Savor Every Bite: Take time to chew your food properly and enjoy every mouthful. It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to get the "I'm full" signal, so slow down, enjoy your meal, and give your body time to register how much you're eating. 🍽️⏳ 4️⃣ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Water is your best friend when it comes to overall well-being. Stay hydrated to keep your body functioning smoothly and to help curb those snack attacks. 💧🌊 5️⃣ Do some inner work: Sometimes there's more going on inside of us than we're aware of and we can use food as a coping mechanism. If you feel like you're unhealthy relationship with food is stemming from somewhere deep inside of you, consider doing some work with a healer or breathwork practitioner (Oh wait, that's me 😉) Remember, food is not the enemy - it's the fuel that keeps us going! 🚀 The key is to create a balanced relationship with food that makes you feel good both physically and emotionally. So next time you sit down for a meal, remember these tips and celebrate the joy that good food can bring! 🎉🍽️ If you are ready to truly heal your relationship with food, DM me FOOD today for a FREE plan on how you can get started! #relationshipwithfood #FoodMindset #healthylifestylehabits #foodisfuel #weightlosssupport

Why this is a limited view on food What foods have you forbidden yourself to eat because of sugar? 🍬 ❓Maybe it’s rice? ❓Sweet potatoes? ❓Oats? ❓Bananas? ❓Pasta? ❓Or fruits like oranges and tangerines? Either way, I'm here to tell you that it’s time to break free from food bans! It's easy to fall into the trap of labeling certain foods as off-limits. But here's the thing: this limited view on food might be holding us back more than we realize. By banning certain foods solely because of their sugar content, we're missing out on a whole array of essential nutrients that these foods have to offer. ⭐ Rice provides energy-boosting carbohydrates ⭐ Sweet potatoes are packed with vitamins and fiber ⭐ And fruits like bananas offer potassium and antioxidants – all vital for our health. Not to mention, restricting ourselves from enjoying a variety of foods can make it harder to stick to a healthy eating plan in the long run. Instead of focusing on what we can't have, let's shift our mindset towards moderation and balance, allowing ourselves to enjoy all foods in appropriate portions. Food is meant to be enjoyed and nourish both our bodies and our souls. When we constantly deny ourselves the pleasure of eating certain foods, we miss out on the joy and satisfaction that comes from savoring a delicious meal. Life's too short to deprive ourselves of the simple pleasure of eating! 🤷‍♀️ So, let's break free from the confines of food bans and embrace a more balanced and inclusive approach to eating. Remember, it's not about perfection – it's about progress and finding what works best for our bodies and our lifestyles. 🌟 Do you agree? Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

PSA: eating only 10 foods ISN’T healthy! 🙅‍♀️ You know how it goes – we get into a routine of eating the same foods day in and day out. Maybe it's out of convenience, habit, or simply because we know what we like. 👉 But here's the thing: our bodies crave variety, and for good reason. 👈 While sticking to a handful of go-to foods might seem convenient, it's not doing our health any favors in the long run. Here's why mixing things up and adding variety to our diet is so important: 🟠 Nutrient Diversity: Different foods contain different vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients that our bodies need to function at their best. By eating a wide variety of foods, we ensure that we're getting a full spectrum of nutrients to support our overall health. 🟠 Gut Health: Our gut is home to trillions of bacteria that play a key role in digestion, immunity, and overall health. A diverse diet supports a healthy gut microbiome by providing a wide range of fiber, prebiotics, and probiotics that nourish beneficial gut bacteria. 🟠 Reduced Risk of Food Sensitivities: Eating the same foods day in and day out can increase the risk of developing food sensitivities or intolerances. By rotating our food choices, we reduce the likelihood of overexposing our bodies to specific allergens or irritants. 🟠 Mental and Emotional Wellbeing: Variety in our diet keeps things interesting and enjoyable, which can have a positive impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing. Exploring new flavors, textures, and cuisines can add excitement to mealtime and enhance our overall satisfaction with food. Let's face it – eating the same 10 foods every day can get pretty boring pretty fast. Sustainable eating habits are all about finding enjoyment and satisfaction in our meals, which often comes from variety and diversity in our food choices. So, while it might be tempting to stick to a limited selection of foods for the sake of simplicity, remember that our bodies thrive on diversity. Embrace the abundance of flavors and nutrients that nature has to offer, and your body will thank you for it! 💗 Drop a 👍 in the comments if you agree!

😋 Let’s talk about food… 😋 It’s one of the simple pleasures to be able to sit down and eat a favourite meal. So why then do so many athletes tend to complicate a simple pleasure when it comes to eating in general? The answer to that question is, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation and undue pressure from people who should know better - the coaches. Be they the head coach, assistances, S&C etc - there’s far too much old school mentality when it comes to “advice” in relation to athlete nutrition. The other problem is that many semi professional (and some professional) teams, more so in women’s sport simply don’t have the resources to engage sports dieticians or nutritionists. So it falls back to those coaches who don’t necessarily have the right information to pass on. My message to athletes is simple. 🚀 Food is fuel. You need to put the right amount of fuel in so that you can perform at your best and then recover properly afterwards. We rinse and repeat this process each day of the week to maintain a consistent level of food (fuel) intake to be able to sustain this through the competitive season. 🥳 Food should be fun and delicious. You’re not bodybuilders, so don’t eat like one. The more you enjoy the food you’re putting into your body and are mindful of the quantities for the outcomes required, the less we are going to create stress around food. 🤓 Increasing food needs to be a gradual process so the body and the mind can adjust to it. As an athlete, you’ll need more fuel than the average person, but it also takes time to adjust to that need. 😴 Pay attention to your recovery and performance. If these start to drop, one of the first things to look at is how consistent that fuel intake has been. 😎 Body composition in the off season, performance in-season. You can’t do both when you’re competing, it’s absolutely setting yourself up to fail. #nutrition #basketball🏀 #foodisfuel #positivity #foodpositivity #fuelthebody #athlete #foodmindset

Your reality is created from your thoughts, your mindset. So, if you think you can't stop overeating, you won't stop overeating. If you think you CAN stop overeating, that will become your reality. If you're not quite believing that you can stop overeating, do you at least think it's POSSIBLE? If so, then that's a good stepping stone. If you repeat that thought to yourself, "It's possible I can stop overeating," you'll more likely stop overeating than if you keep telling yourself you can't. Thoughts play a key role in your eating habit results and weight loss results. Which is why my coaching includes not just strategy, but also looking at your thoughts and using tools to shift those. I can help you create a new reality for yourself. I can help you become the person who stops overeating. I've helped many clients become the person who stops overeating. I can help you too. ✨To talk about how, just book your free consultation with the link in my profile. #overeating #overeatingproblems #overeatinghelp #snacking #mindlesseating #bingeeatinghelp #foodmindset

If you have ever wondered where your food reward system in your brain was programmed?? Look no further than the good ol days of your childhood! 🤣 Mannnnn these Book It pins were life! 🍕⭐️🙌🏻 Read books = GET STAR STICKERS FOR PIN ⭐️ Get star stickers for pin = GET PERSONAL PAN PIZZA 🍕 Do a good job = GET A FOOD REWARD! 🍪🍩🥧🌮🍡 And we wonder why we use food as a reward!!! 🤪 We were programmed from childhood to think this way…. It’s not our fault! Not anyone’s fault really. I think over time people started being rewarded with treats and we became systematically programmed to think that way. Have a bad/good day and think: You deserve a drink! 🥃 You deserve some cake! 🍰 You deserve a sleeve of Girl Scout cookies!🍪 Y’all pickin up what I’m puttin down…? This is one of the most consistent issues I see with my clients and it’s something we work on A LOT! It’s a difficult mindset to break, but it can be done! ❤️ One of the greatest things we can do for future generations is change how we reward our own children when they do something well! ⭐️Take them on an adventure outdoors! ⭐️Take them to do something creative and fun! Maybe a new art set! ⭐️Take them on a trip to gain new experiences and make memories! ⭐️Give them extra hugs and praise! ⭐️Give them quality time with you! That’s what kids want more than anything these days! Don’t get me wrong, the occasional trip to get frozen yogurt is great! I love frozen-yo! Let’s just stop using that as a reward! It’s up to us to break this cycle! ❤️ #food #reward #healthy #mindset #mindsetcoach #foodhabits #healthylifestyle #foodmindset #nutrition #nutritioncoach

You slip up on your diet AGAIN…😩 You tried so hard not to eat chocolate all week, you CAN’T have anything ‘bad’ because you’re on a diet & trying to stick to 1300 calories. You’ve been eating your salads and chicken broccoli and rice all week and done so well to stick to it 😄 (Even though it’s boring AF). But then you’re in the supermarket and the cookies are looking at you 🍪 You think ‘I’ll just have one’…then end up eating all 5 cookies. And a large bar of daily milk 🍫 “I knew I wouldn’t be able to do this” you say to yourself, as you scoff a whole family sized bag of crisps, because you’ve already f*cked your diet. Binge pending. You’re so frustrated at not having the ‘will power’ to stick to your diet. Well, NO. (Which is the good news!) 😍 Here’s the problem: It’s nothing to do with will power, when the method behind your diet madness is, well…MADNESS! You’re either… PSYCHOLOGICALLY RESTRICTING: Restricting yourself from foods you deem as ‘bad’ day to day - then inevitably binging on them. We always want what we can’t have, remember 😉 It creates way more pre-occupation with food, than if you just had a kitkat or bag of crisps every now and then during the week & moved on 💃🏻 Or PHYSIOLOGICALLY RESTRICTING: If you’re not eating: Enough protein to keep you satiated Carbohydrates to give you energy Balanced & regular meals Enough calories throughout the day or at each meal… This can lead to your body basically saying f*ck you 🖕🏼and your hunger/sugar cravings ramp up and take over. You’re fighting against your body, instead of working with it 💔 I dive into all this with my 1:1 clients on my programme THE ANTI-RESTRICTION METHOD 🩷 Which does exactly what it says on the tin - get you out of restrictive eating AND weight loss that lasts. With a healthy relationship with food to last too. What a dreammyyyyy combo eh?! 😍🥰 AND I have 10% off my coaching packages for a limited time atm and only 3 spots left! 😮‍💨🔥 DM me ‘READY’ now if you’re ready for weight loss without all the restrictive eating FOR LIFE! ❤️🍫🍪

Let’s talk emotional eating. I have been hearing a lot of other coaches chatting about this lately and I have also had some convos with clients about this so I decided to throw my two cents in there. I hope these points can help anyone who feel stuck in emotional eating cycles and are not sure where to go or start. The big thing I want you to remember is it’s not your fault. It’s also not some thing that you shame, hate or punish yourself into healing or fixing. And it’s also not permanent or part of your identity if you don’t want it to be. The shame… That is where one of the biggest mistakes people can make happen, which is further restricting after you feel you messed up. It just keeps the cycle of emotionally related coping going. Realize we have to build better and actually productive coping strategies. That is in your power and can allow you to feel more in control again. But it’s also okay to acknowledge mourning and letting go of the relationship with food you have held onto. Food doesn’t fix emotions and that is a hard realization and point of acceptance many have to face. In the light of finding your power again, these are some points of reflection and intervention to have you moving forward. Would love to hear what has helped you or if any of these resonate with you. 🫶🏼

The journey to food freedom and a healthy and positive body image starts when we are small children with how we are taught to choose and enjoy foods. I’m not a fan of complete restriction and rigid diets. Equally to achieve your health and fitness goals you do have to say no sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️ Don’t hide from your sweet tooth, enjoy something that keeps you on track and satisfies! This is a protein Banana Pudding 😋 1/2 cup of unsweetened yogurt plain or vanilla 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder Splash of milk Stir until combined well! 1 banana chopped up crumble 1 gluten free graham cracker - Eat right away, or may favorite is to freeze for 3-45 minutes #Nutrition #nutritioncoach #mindset #nutritionprogram #food #artofeating #foodmindset #personalcoach #wellness #proteintreats #bananapudding

5 things I wish I knew earlier (that really helped me w/ healthy eating and staying lean) 🧚🏻‍♀️ 1. your protein intake is important but if that’s your only focus you’re probably missing out on other things you need to keep in mind 2. a super strict diet won’t help you to reach your goals most of the time 3. don’t follow every trend you see on the internet 4. change your mindset about food and see how your diet changes 5. low calorie choices won’t always work even if you’re trying to get/stay lean #healthylifestyle #healthyeating #healthyfood #mindsetmatters #foodmindset #mindsetchange #balancedlifestyle #balancedbody #healthychoices

I feel like sometimes we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to keep up with expectations, always eat ‘clean,’ limit alcohol, and only consume ‘good’ food, etc. I couldn’t begin to explain the number of times I’ve had conversations in my clinic room about the importance of the mental state surrounding food consumption. If you’re eating a meal but feeling guilty doing so – why? It makes you feel bad, right? If you ate a few more choccies than you wanted to over the Easter long weekend, great! Don’t feel bad about it. One morsel of food, or one meal, doesn’t ‘ruin’ your efforts. We can’t be in 100% control of every meal eaten out, but we can enjoy it (especially if the food is tasty!). When trying to decide between meals, I always say – choose a meal you’re going to enjoy, eat the meal with people whose company you love, and the food will be the least of your concerns. And if you choose oysters and a cheeky margarita or aperol? So be it!

Taking control of our relationship with food requires a shift in mindset and a willingness to challenge societal norms. Let’s delve deeper into how we can achieve this: 1. Understanding Binging: Binging isn’t just about eating a bit too much; it’s about surpassing comfort and feeling terrible afterward. 2. Granting Permission to Eat: By removing restrictions, we often find that our cravings diminish. Giving ourselves permission to indulge can lead to a healthier relationship with food. 3. Embracing Food Choices: Whether it’s cake for breakfast or a nutritious meal, our food choices don’t define our worth. It’s our values, kindness, and interests that truly make us who we are. 4. Meeting Nutritional Needs: Many struggle with eating enough, often due to restrictive habits. By letting go of calorie counting and restrictions, we can better understand our body’s nutritional requirements. 5. Self-Acceptance: It’s essential to embrace our bodies and our relationship with food. We can love food while also recognizing its impact on our physical and emotional well-being. 6. Seeking Healthy Coping Mechanisms: Rather than turning to food for comfort, we should explore alternative ways to manage stress and emotions. 7. Learning from Experience: Reflecting on how different foods make us feel can help us make informed choices and improve our overall well-being. 8. Rejecting Food Labels: Let go of the notion of “good” and “bad” foods. Instead, focus on what makes you feel nourished and satisfied. Join us on this journey towards food freedom and self-discovery. #FoodMindset #ChallengeNorms #NourishYourBody #EmbraceSelfDiscovery #momsfitlife #nutrition #pregnancy #postpartumfitness #postpartum #health #momstrong

I get SO many people messaging me , feeling bad that they aren’t losing weight as quickly as the ladies in my transformation photos . But the fact is . EVERYONE LOSES WEIGHT AT DIFFERENT RATES! . (Oh and btw, its even very rare for someone to lose weight EVERY SINGLE WEEK!) . A lot of my super star transformations had 2-3+ week streaks where their weight DIDN’T BUDGE AT ALL in that time . There are also others where their weight loss pattern is to not lose for two weeks then suddenly drop 3-4lbs seemingly over night! . We also cannot ignore circumstances! . A client may have a very busy and stressful work life, so we may choose to lose weight at a slower rate, as they cant dedicate as much time to the process . Or you may have children and allll the complications that go with that- for instance, if one of them is unwell, and sleep goes out the window, dieting has to become less of a focus for a week- this is ok! This is just a delay! NOT an end! . Or If someone’s mindset towards food and dieting is poor, and they have super low confidence or are really critical of themselves, it might take them slightly longer to get going- and that’s ALSO ok!! AGAIN this is just a delay!! They will get there! . We are ALL different and so will DO things differently, and at different speeds! . Use transformations as inspiration, not as a comparison to constantly beat yourself up over #comparison #weightlossinspiration #weightlossmotivation #weightlossmindset #femalefatloss #femalefatlosscoach #WEIGHTLOSSUK #DIETINGTIPS #WEIGHTLOSSCOACH #myfitnesspaljourney #foodmindset #onlinefatlosscoaching #teamrh #weightlosstransformations #weightloss #dieting #diethelp

You feel sad, lonely, bored, restless, annoyed, angry, resentful and you look in the pantry or fridge, because food makes you feel better... right? Food does not change the way you feel about that thing, it distracts you from thinking about it for a moment, If you only thought about food as fuel for your body, (it can still taste good) then eating wouldn't be an emotional thing, it would be an energetic thing. And if food was nourishing fuel only, you wouldn't have to punish yourself at the gym or say all those mean things to yourself after you'd eaten too much, because you'd only eat what you needed. 🧡 ✌ 💜 #foodisfuel #emotionaleating #womenshealth #healthcoach #foodmindset #healthyhabits #mindsetmatters #simplechanges

One big thing I missed on this post . For many people its not that easy to let go of the guilt . OR to moderate these things . This , unfortunately , is due to you picking up habits and rules throughout your time of dieting . Habits and rules that DO NOT SERVE YOU . And certainly don’t allow you to lose weight AND keep it off . If your relationship and mindset with food is in a pretty crap place . And your weight keeps going up . Its time to do something about it . This isn’t going to get better as time goes on . Its going to get worse . To find out if my online coaching could help you, DM me the world BALANCE, or hit the link in the bio and fill in the form at the top of the page to book your FREE consultation call . You hear this a lot “eat in moderation” that’s just like saying “how long is a piece of string 🤷🏼‍♀️. If your eating in moderation and still not seeing results maybe it’s time to define what eating in moderation means to you, for me it’s eating in each of my main means protein (not processed proteins in bars and shakes but from either meat or tofu) healthy fats (avo, coconut cream, salmon, olive oil) carbs (potato, brown rice or sometimes buckwheat noodles) and GUESS WHAT I don’t crave sweets my “in moderation” means I’ll enjoy one or two pieces of dark chocolate every few nights and I DONT over indulge or restrict it. If your “in moderation” is eating takeaway frequently, craving sweets on the daily and eating over processed snack foods, determine what are the foods that you should be moderating ? It should be the over processed foods and take aways. #inmoderation #foodmindset #personaltrainers #healthylifestyle

From avoiding chocolate ➡️ Enjoying chocolate Avoiding certain foods long-term is not sustainable. Crisps, chocolate, cookies etc will always be here and these are super tasty foods that we are supposed to enjoy. Rather than saying.... "How can I avoid X food?" Try saying... "How can I incorporate X food to honour what I want and what I need?" You can absolutely reach your goals whilst enjoying tour favourite foods just like my clients do. Raise a hand if you’ve ever felt like you were in an endless battle with your own body. 🙋‍♀️ I know I have. Reflecting on my lowest health moments, I used to view my body as my adversary. Constantly striving for an unattainable 'perfect' physique through extreme measures: ❌ Over Exercising ❌ Under-eating ❌ Or juice cleanses All while feeling perpetually tired, sore, or nursing injuries. It was a cycle of self-hate. Every meal felt like a battleground, a chance to either win or lose. I created so many rules, only to break them, leading to waves of guilt and shame. In my 20s, I believed love and acceptance were tied to performance and a flawless body. In my 30s, I doubled down on punishing workouts and restrictive diets, only to binge and drink excessively on weekends. Fast forward to March 2022 and my all-or-nothing approach had finally caught up with me. I was faced with some scary lab results. This was my wake-up call. 🌈 And now… My definition of 'healthy' has undergone a radical transformation. It's no longer about perfection; it's about consistency. Food isn't labeled as good or bad - I've embraced flexibility in my diet, including intermittent fasting. Prioritizing recovery is now my mantra. I engage in daily practices of: ✨ Yoga ✨ Meditation ✨ Walks ✨ Journaling ✨ And morning sunlight. I've learned that true health is holistic - physical, mental, and emotional. It's not a destination but a continuous journey. Let's ditch the ideals of perfection and embrace progress, one mindful step at a time. 💪 Share this post to help spread the message! 🙏 #consistencyoverperfection#foodmindset #eatrealfood #foodfreedom #freedomfromdiets #dietculturedropout #nourishnotpunish #intuitiveeatingjourney #nofoodrules #getfreewithfood
