I have this friend ( @lyndemottart ) who said of artistic endeavors, the pain of not doing it is greater than the pain of doing it. This has been ringing in my head this week, as I realized (about three pages from the end of draft 3) that I need to make a big global change to the entire story. The inclination is to grumble at myself, but this is actually a good thing! It makes the story stronger! How could I NOT do it? It would, indeed, be more painful to move forward without making this change. Sometimes blessings look like trials. And work. So, once I finish these last few pages, instead of moving on to book two I'll circle right back to the start. Moving in circles but moving forward.... Apparently Google's updated terms of service, that I ignored thinking it didn't pertain to me, wiped out all my email passwords and the passwords to several other connections. Mr. C. said I shouldn't ignore what they send. I figured it was Google being Google, so I didn't read any of it. I'm now going through and resetting everything. Next up - reinstall my bookmarks. After that - disconnect many connections from Google. That's what happens when I let one thing have control. Lesson learned - read those emails. #INTERNET #writerslife #socialmedia #disconnect

The first caricature is something I sketched up, layering ink, in about a half an hour. The second? A venture into drawing something I’m too scared to draw. “Life is not for everyone.” A few days ago I was able to attend the private cast and crew screening for a feature film I worked on, Lisa Belcher’s The House of Abraham. It was my first horror/thriller and the first time I was able to attend a feature film I worked on in person. Some of these crew and cast members I haven’t seen since we wrapped a year ago. The film was truly great, I can’t wait for y’all to see it yourselves and everyone involved should be very proud of themselves. The journey Pt. 3 So, 2024 is crazy man!! 🤪 I'm glad it's spring, tho! I like seeing all the green as I drive to and from work. Anyway, God has done a major work on my heart. So, I've had my epic book series called Rosemarian in my head for a long time. It was a YA sci-fi/fantasy series. When God took that idea from me, I was devastated. Why God? I know the bible verse Roman. 8:28, but it really hurt me because I was so invested in this fictional world, and it excited me so much. I know God removes things to make more room for growth, which, if you remember, that is my word for the year. Growth hurts, and I'm so glad that God has me on this new path. So, God has me another world to invest in that might be more publishable. God never takes away without replacing! He has a plan for my life, and it is good. He is making me a bette writer and soon t be author. There's more to come in the future! For now... I got a writing vlog coming tomorrow and also TBR post! Look out for those! ✌🏾
