Took this photo at an early morning walk. It isn’t surprising that the city has retained this “Winter Station” at Woodbine Beach but with the entire waterfront beach officially closed, it’s going to remain off limits for visits anytime in the near future. Some people are breaking the rules but the beach is essentially empty and the parking lots are all closed so it’s great too see people are keeping inside. We only leave for a short walk and then head back inside. Kaleidoscope of the Senses by Charlie Sutherland of SUHUHA is my favourite exhibit at the 2020 Winter Stations. - I explored the winter beach in early March when life still felt normal but was horrified to find out that many people flocked to parks, beaches and any open space this past weekend since the weather was nice. Today marks two weeks since I found out my workplace would be closing due to the virus and I'm still unsure why people who don't need to be out can't grasp the concept of staying home. It really isn't safe out there 😢
