After a 15-hour flight followed by a 16-hour layover at ICN airport, we were craving for the food! 🤣 We tried quite a lot of food inside the airport and recharged ourselves at the same time. We went to a Korean restaurant in the food court and ordered the seafood soup. I loved how they served it in a hot stone bowl. The broth was super flavorful and packed with seafood such as clams, shrimp, and abalone. Also, we stopped by the Martina Lounge. “This tattoo represents a lot to me. I’ve thought about getting one for a while, and I got this at a time when I was struggling with loss and grief, but I also started to understand a lot of my past. I knew this was the right time to do this. I changed my mind about the design when I met the artist, and I am happy with the way it turned out. My life has been full of twists and turns with my cancer diagnosis, loss of loved ones, parents' divorce, and bouts of mental health challenges. Spring/ Mother's day tea set will be available the whole June, so if you aren't able to book on the the mother's weekend, you can also book the week before or after. It is $43.99 before taxes and tips per set, weekends reservation has to be one tea set per person, weekdays 2 people can order 1 set+1 extra item , 3 people minimum order 2 sets+ 1 extra item etc Tea set is served on everyday (except we are closed on Tuesday) from 12pm to 4pm. Round 2! I decided to create another account after Instagram deleted the original a few years ago. I’m Zeba, and this is my passion project, which I started in January 2020. I shared tattoos, wearers, and the stories behind them. Throughout the months, it garnered much attention from artists, social media, news networks, and the public who wanted to be part of this project. Something I did for my own interest, soon became popular and recognized. With a background in social work and a natural curiosity of people’s lived experiences, I have always been interested in the power of stories. The lines, shading, patterns, hues of colours, all combine to create something so powerful and unique to that individual. Tattoos are able to communicate emotions, memories, struggles and attachments that often transcend words and have an aura of mystery. Through ink, they transmit experiences and immerse themselves into the realm of storytelling. As I continue to talk to people and collect stories, I want to highlight many here. More broadly, I am writing a book entitled ‘Tattoos of Toronto’ which will be a collection of photographs and stories told by the people I have met on this journey, as well as the artists who captured these stories so beautifully in their art. My hope is to engage in conversations about complex and important topics that we often not widely discussed in contemporary Western societies.
