After a hospital stay earlier this year, and some research of my own, I’ve decided to go back to the basics and follow an animal based diet. I started my plant based/vegan journey many years ago as an attempt to get healthy. Though I lost weight and initially felt good removing meat and dairy from my diet, in more recent years my health no longer improved. Instead I began feeling fatigued, I was constantly bloated and had incredible brain fog. I incorporated juice fasting, tried a raw vegan diet, and ate mainly alkaline for a while. I even tried eating according to my blood type which encourages a vegan/vegetarian diet. I wasn’t perfect during my vegan journey and I didn’t completely avoid processed plant based “junk” food. I was constantly hungry and snacking all day in an effort to gain energy, and ultimately feel better. I eventually gained all the weight I had lost, became anemic and depressed. Fast forward a few weeks into my animal based transition and my bloat is completely gone. My energy is through the roof and most importantly my brain fog is gone. The scale fluctuates but I’ve lost inches off my waist and my skin feels and looks great. Not to mention my libido is through the roof 😅. I’m still new to this lifestyle but I’m glad I took the step to listen to my body and fuel what it needs. I didn’t leave everything I learned from veganism behind... I try to eat as organic as possible, and I incorporate smoothies and shakes which I grew to love through my plant based journey. I also cook in a cast iron pan as much as possible. As someone who has a lot of Earth in my Astrology chart, including my Sun and Moon sign, I have always felt connected to Gaia, Mother Earth. Even in my Light Keeper Life Purpose reading I did for myself back when I was in the early stages of my awakening, Gaia was the first card that came out and is connected to me, and taking care of the Earth is part of my mission. This makes sense why I am always so diligent on properly disposing of my trash and recyclables, am a vegan, respect all life on this planet, love animals, get sad when litter is all over the ground and a trash can is less than two feet away, and always try to educate others on the importance of keeping our Earth clean and doing their part even if its walking that two feet to put trash in the bin and not on the ground.  This is the planet we live on. We have seen what Mother Nature can do. We have to respect her.  Today, in addition to finding a restful place to meditate and ground, do something to give back. Plant some flowers, garden, grow some of your own vegetables, visit an animal sanctuary, visit a botanical garden, make a dietary change, go on a hike, walk near water, and say some form of gratitude. As lightworkers and souls on this planet, while we are bringing in the New Earth, we still have to protect our physical Earth.
