I mentioned yesterday being hard at work on a new book. I’ve learned to keep to a schedule to save myself from deadline panic later - as much as possible, anyway. I’ve found I can average about 5 pages a day. That includes revision time on what I wrote the day before. Some people say you shouldn’t do this - you should get the whole draft completed and then go back and revise - but that’s never worked for me. Revising things as I go, filling in details and world building and spending time with the characters I’m creating, helps me find the soul of the story. On the book front, we’re getting very close on the cover for Grimm Curiosities, which is out this fall! This one is a Victorian ghost gothic, with plenty of romance and magic, set in a cozy curiosities and oddities shop in York, England. Edible sunshine 🌞 We love our dandelions! 🦁💛 As far as “weeds” go, in our area these guys are far less aggressive than the buttercups, which choke out everything. I make fritters (see photos) and cake out of dandelion flowers, and we put greens in a salad.
