How should we respond to suffering as Christians? It should be a constant reminder to us that we live in a world which is transitory. Judgment is coming and God is only delaying it out of mercy. This should encourage us in evangelism and godly living, because ‘the time is short’ (2 Pet 3:11-14; Col 4:5). We must realize that the only way of conquering suffering is in the way Jesus did, through the cross. DIPG - THE SIZE OF A PEAR May is brain cancer awareness month. Because of this, we’ve been sharing some on Briella’s brain cancer, DIPG. In the diagram below, you can see exactly where the tumor is located in a child’s brain, causing the loss of functions that a child has. DIPG AWARENESS DAY Today is DIPG awareness day and all of May is brain cancer awareness. For anyone that doesn’t know much about DIPG (the cancer that was inoperable and took Briella’s life) it is a cancer with no hope. The tumor is right in the center of all functions and shuts down the body as it enlarges. What a heartbreaking diagnosis for so many families. Yesterday was a rough day. My postpartum hormones got the best of me and I was full of worry and doubt. Even though this is my third time around, it didn’t matter, my brain was convinced I was failing my baby. I was sitting in bed feeding Juniper with tears in my eyes, full of worry, when I felt the Lord lead me to read the scripture of the day. “casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 In that moment I went from tears of desperation to tears of relief. The Lord wants us to come to Him with all of our worries, all of our stress, all of our anxiety. He cares so deeply for us. And you know what… today I got confirmation that everything I was so worried about that had me so stressed yesterday was nothing😊❤️ • And to any mamas out there, especially ones with new babies at home, you are doing great!
