Last day on @uberscubakomodo. We did a total of 15 dives, each one better than the last. Komodo is indeed magical, with its rolling green hills and endless seas. Marine life was varied, and appeared to be larger than other dive sites. Soft corals and reefs in abundance, almost endless. And the currents - these make Komodo special. I was blown away, both literally and figuratively. Our dive guides @indiputra and @antoniocasanova10 said that we were very fortunate to have experienced the force and intensity of Mother Nature at the Cauldron, and to have been able to dive at Tatawa Kecil to see all the magical schools of fish, this being diveable only certain times of the year. And with the New Moon, everything seemed more extraordinary. And the food, oh the food. We were so well fed with such a vast menu. The chef is indeed a wonder to whip up all these superb meals in that small kitchen! This is one trip I will remember, and perhaps head down to South Komodo later in the year. Schwere Bedingungen aber wer nicht wagt der nicht gewinnt. Am ersten Tag konnte ich einen durchschnittlichen Fisch für dieses Gewässer fangen. Danach schwiegen meine Bissanzeiger. Ich konnte in einem anderen Seeteil die Fische hören und auch springen sehen. Ich entschloss mich für die letzen beiden Nächte zu moven, was sich definitiv ausgezahlt hat. Ich hatte 3 meiner 4 Ruten nah vorm Holz gelegt und die letzte Rute im Freiwasser hinter einer Krautbank. Diese brachte mir in der Nacht einen 19.5kg schweren Schuppi. Da in dem Areal bereits viel Kraut zu der Jahreszeit war, entschloss ich mich für die letzte Nacht alles auf eine Karte zu setzen und die freien Stellen vor oder hinter Krautfeldern im Freiwasser zu befischen. Ich nahm alle meine Ruten vorm Holz weg und legte diese um. Der Plan ging auf.
