Als jij je lichaam geeft wat het nodig heeft, geeft jouw lichaam jou wat jij nodig hebt. Deze quote heb ik begin deze week met jullie gedeeld en omvat eigenlijk alles. Wees eens eerlijk naar jezelf, geef jij jouw lichaam alles wat het nodig heeft? Dan doel ik o.a. op hoogwaardige voeding, rust, bewegen, aanvulling, voldoende water drinken. En zo nee, verwacht je aan de andere kant wel alles van jouw lichaam? Vraag je jezelf wel eens af waarom je een bepaalde klacht, weinig energie, wankelende weerstand of geen gewichtsbeheersing hebt? Of denk je dat je je lichaam alles geeft wat het nodig heeft, maar leidt het niet tot resultaat? Vraag dan om hulp, want we hebben allemaal blinde vlekken en het is niet erg om hulp te vragen en te aanvaarden. Als jij bewust of onbewust je lichaam maar 50% geeft van wat het nodig heeft, dan geeft het jou ook 50% van wat jij nodig hebt. Investeer in jezelf in de meest breedste zin van het woord. Je krijgt er iets voor terug dat onbetaalbaar is. Als je geen tijd vrij maakt om te investeren, gaat je lichaam vanzelf ‘n keer fluisteren en als je dan nog geen tijd vrij maakt, gaat het schreeuwen. More challenging if you are on a limited budget. Price and quality aren’t perfectly correlated but it doesn’t stop us from using price to judge quality., even if this holds true in only some product categories but not all. Studies comparing the price per unit weight of food from the same group suggest that healthier options are in fact cheaper in most cases. For example, 200g of chickpeas versus 200g of bacon, chickpeas being much more nutrient dense than bacon. Part of the issue is that we confuse ‘healthy’ with other labels like organic and gluten free. Add to that the rise of ‘superfoods’, which are simply marketing tricks to make you feel that some foods are even healthier than others. The first place to start when it comes to eating healthily on a budget is to understand what to actually buy. I Found a Way To Lose Weight and Maintain it with the added bonus of being off diabetes medication How you may ask? I ate 5-6 small meals per day as I was coached to do. I learnt how to have balanced meals, no calorie counting, take supplements, to add alongside my food. This became so easy to follow and the weight has stayed off. Most of us wanting to lose weight have a something nagging at us... Telling us we have to earn our keep before can have the perfect life or hit out goals. . There’s that line we’re fed, “It’s hard but it’s gonna be worth it!” Or that other nugget ”Triumph comes from adversity, no pain, no gain.” But here’s one thing I wish I had learned earlier: Hitting goals and turning into who you want to be doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, it only becomes difficult when we focus too hard on the outcome of the work we put in. Sometimes, all that’s really needed is the exact opposite of working hard! Wait, what?! When I look back at some of my greatest successes, they came from the least amount of effort and happened instead simply because I’d taken time to plan what I was doing. . I learned the hard way that waking up each morning and working hard without a plan wasn’t going to get me what I wanted I’m gunning for a mantra that says “the less I do, the more I get done.”, Who wouldn’t want that in life? It comes down to this: Do you want to be running in circles, kidding yourself you’re too busy and you can’t keep up with everything... and STILL not making the progress you’re looking for? Do you want to be giving hours of your time working so hard and yet being unable to enjoy life? I’m guessing you don’t. So what if I tell you that you can lose the weight and STILL have free time to properly enjoy life? That you can balance that equation without being hung up inside your hamster wheel! And what if I tell you, you can be up and running, losing a few pounds before Summer kicks in? 🍂 Mini Mindful Mandalas 🍂 I got to meet a lovely group of women at the Stress Reset retreat held by @thebodyretreat in Somerset this week. These women were taking a break from their busy lives to reset their minds and bodies. We carried our Mindfulness practise of noticing and observing with curiosity outside as we strolled in silence and explored, picking things that had already fallen and captured our attention. It's interesting to see the various items that everyone brings back and how they display them.
