This weekend was truly healing, deep emotions expressed and so much cleared. It’s made me grateful that I never gave up! There was a time when I thought, “If I feel the truths of my loneliness, I am sure to disappear from the face of the earth.” Or “If I feel the whole range of anger, it will swallow me whole and I’ll burn the world down!” I even believed for a time “If I feel the depths of my grief, it will drown me in the deepest ocean and I’ll never surface again.” After trying my hardest to avoid these very real emotions, my body flared with an autoimmune disease and an authentic and fulfilling connection eluded me, I nearly gave up. But then, I realized that the connections I truly desired required me to be willing to show up in my whole self. If I wanted to be loved for my whole self, I needed to BE my whole self. I needed to allow myself to FEEL the whole range of who I am…including the tough and sometimes scary emotions. Once I realized that the joys of life (including peace, freedom, and ecstasy) are what lives right underneath those tough emotions and that I wouldn’t disappear, burn down the world or drown in the ocean by expressing them in doable and healthy ways everything began to change. This gave me the hope I needed to try again.... I began a regular breathwork practice and allowed myself to go to the “emotional gym”. I found the space and time to feel and express what had been stuck inside for years. Within months of really dedicating myself to my emotional expression, a shift happened in my body and peace and bliss began to make daily appearances. In the heart of the Amazon, I was privileged to work with the sacred medicine, Hampaya. A mixture of very hot amazonian peppers, it’s applied on the tip of the tongue with the feather or beak of the Japinî, a bird that imitates other animals & is considered sacred. In kaxinawà, the native language of the Huni Kuin, the word for the Japinî bird is “Txana”, which is also how they refer to traditional singers, the spiritual warriors of their communities who heal with their songs & live in reverence to their voices. They use Hampaya to open the vocal cords & the throat region. Working with Hampaya marked a changepoint for me in singing my own song, how I use my words & most importantly, doing so with compassion. Particularly now, under the Tauraus New Moon, as Mercury & Chiron are Conjunct in Aries, we are presented with a celestial invitation to renew our relationship with ourselves, our minds & what type of self talk we engage in, as well as how we speak to others. Talking about plants and their properties and intelligences… I think its about time to approach the big ones. The entheogens entered my life at a point where I was in deep need of change. I didn’t have any experience with magic molecules before, and I didn’t know any people in my reality doing either. So, how did it come to me? Because right - It was actually finding me. First time in a dream. Followed by strange ”coincidences” in the most unexpected ways. I heard the call. I felt it deep inside of me. And I answered. Totally unknowing what I was heading into - A huge transformation. The intelligence of the plants unfolded greatly. It was highway to God. They made me remember. Remember so much about myself, my history, origin, humaness - and divinity. I remembered things I experienced as a baby. I remember memories of my ancestors. Because their stories are written in my DNA. I remembered who I was before I moved into this body - How I was choosing my family and this life. I could see so many lives i lived before. I connected straight on with an eternal indestructible part of myself. I didn’t even use to believe in past lives, or god, and knew no one else who did either. It was huge and overwhelming, and a total collapse of reality as I knew it. But as high as I went, as low I went as well. And I connected deeply with my very primal human being and physical body. And I found so much unexpected in my body. Wisdom. Trauma. Trapped emotions. Wild power. Pleasure. Playfulness. A great intelligence. Daring to meet, connect, release, and embrace. Surrender to the power of my body intelligence on such a deep level. My reality smashed into billions of pieces. It would take me years to integrate and digest, and rearrange the pieces of myself again. This was my first, huge, great initiation to embodiment - and divinity. Including a kundalini rise. But it would take me another 5 years to understand that. I'm closer to myself, feelings, senses and life than I ever been in my adult life. Life continue to expand and unfold. Many steps and choices led me here. And I'm here to support others who also want to rediscover and connect with themselves on a deeper level ✨
