When Lindsey & I first talked about shooting, one of the ideas I had was to make a video where I approached her on the beach to “randomly” shoot an album cover for her. The upcoming cd she has coming out is called Duality, so naturally I thought it would be cool to play off the concept of “dual sides of her”, and so we played around with different ideas for poses and vibes where there were two of her in the same photo. I shot everything handheld and later composited the separate images together in photoshop. I act in the best way I know how Even if I act in a way that needs improvement, I take accountability for my faults, accept myself for where I am without judgement and I take action where I need to improve so that the next time a similar situation comes around, I can change my pattern I accept myself for knowing only what I do now. Getting excited about my material! Makings nests with wire does become a bit of a contradiction.....soft versus hard, rigid versus malleable. Yes steel has this rigidness, I think wire do have qualities which reminds of twigs, branches, clay, leaves. To me there is an inherent strengt in a birds' nest, the form evoke a sense of warmth and comfort. I do like the tension between vulnerability and resilience.
