So, he packed up his gear, went to the market, and picked out three fat fish to take home to his family. As the store manager was about to wrap up the purchase, the man asked him, “Before you wrap them, could you toss them to me, one by one? That way, I can truthfully tell my wife I caught them!” When it comes to telling the truth, many people like to scoot by on technicalities, half-truths, and word games in order to hide the real facts. They value their reputation over their integrity and do whatever it takes to make sure people think highly of them. But when we look at the Scriptures, we find that way of thinking is a recipe for disaster. Take King Saul, for example, who directly disobeyed God’s orders in (1 Samual 15) When he was confronted about it, he continued down his path of lies for no other reason than to preserve his reputation while slowly destroying his integrity. The old saying is true: Honesty is the best policy. When you live a life of truth, you’ll not only please the Lord; you’ll keep a clear conscience. PSALM 26:1 Everything changes except God, and letting all the changes in our lives upset us won't keep them from occurring. People change, circumstances change, our bodies change, our desires and passions change. One certainty in life is change. We don't mind change if we invite it, but when it comes uninvited, our emotions can easily flare up. Imagine you worked for a company for thirty-two years and was sure you would retire from that company. Without warning, the company decides to sell to a larger firm, whose management decided they didn't want to keep a lot of the employees, and you lost your job. You feel that you wasn't treated fairly when you was let go. Now what? You have a choice to make. You can either react emotionally by getting upset, stressed out, anxious, angry, and worried, feeling and saying lots of negative things. Or you can act on God's Word and trust God to be your vindicator and source of supply for every need. It is totally understandable to have these emotions, but if you choose to react based on feelings, then you will be miserable and possibly make the other people in your life miserable. If you choose to make decisions based on God's Word, however, you can make the transition with far less turmoil. Will your anger dissipate right away? Probably not. But if you truly give your care over to God, your feelings will calm down and you can be confident that God will continue to work in your life, bringing justice for the injustice done to you. Most changes take place without our permission. But we can choose to adapt. If we refuse to make the transition in our minds and attitudes, then we are making a huge mistake. Our refusal to adapt doesn't change the circumstances, but it does steal our peace and joy. But by acting on God's Word and not merely reacting to the situation, you will be able to manage your emotions instead of allowing them to manage you. Let Go Let God Cherish ❤️

I’ll tell you the more I grow the more I am okay with accepting the “Let Them” in my own life and relationships. Even family can mistreat and disrespect you. This is something that took me a very long time to learn. I used to tolerate a lot because I didn't want to lose people. I learned the hard way if they were really my people they would never treat me like that. Don't make the mistake of being so understanding and forgiving that you overlook the fact that you're being repeatedly disrespected. Let them be upset. Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you, Let them ignore you. Let them be "right." Let them doubt you. Let them not like you. Let them not speak to you. Let them run your name in the ground. Let them make you out to be the villain. Whatever it is that people want to say about you, let them! Kindly step aside and LET THEM. The hard truth is they know how much they are hurting you. They just simply don't care. They did it knowing it could cause them to lose you. They did it anyway. People that love you care about how they make you feel. The end. There will be people that would rather lose you than be honest about what they've done to you. Let them go. The lack of respect was the closure. The lack of apology was the closure. The lack of care was the closure. The lack of acountability was the closure. The lack of honestly was the closure. Let them go. Make the decision to no longer sit at tables where you might be the topic when you get up. Let them go. You can still be kind. You can even still love them deeply. On this day last year, I arrived in Nosara after 11 years… curious as to why I was being led to make a big move. After a hectic day of travel, my heart slowed down as I saw 4 magical horses outside the airport. I softly whispered out loud, “I’m home.” I just knew… I may know things. But God - this benevolent force of love and nature and the ethers and all things beyond the logical perception of the mind - he knows more. It goes without saying that his plan is infinitely greater, and what sometimes seems perplexing is actually redirecting us to more of our potential. Our expansion. We are never given more than we can both handle. We ARE given what we are destined to master. I have been shy to say this but he wants me to declare this for myself and any woman who feels shy to step into her bigness. This…is a season of my answered prayers. 🪬 As I lean back, and watch it all unfold… desires I have been praying about for over 7 years… saying “no” to nights and weekends out in NYC to be in communion with God instead… being immersed in sacred scriptures even as a child, moving between the church and the temple, feeling disconnected from the indoctrinated forms of religion yet deeply intimate with this omnipresent force, I see the rewards of having chosen this path. I feel his wanting me to not just make it… not just to sing a few notes and call it a life… but to dance a symphony and orchestrate a masterpiece together of the vision he cast over my life. After reading my “bible in a year” passages then crying to the Lord in prayer of thanksgiving, forgiveness and requests, I decided to have a cup of tea and get to work. We probably have about 10 different herbal blends and even more coffee mugs. I wasn’t concerned with being picky, I grabbed the first tea I saw and the 1st cup I saw, and immediately said, thank you Lord, for hearing my prayer and responding immediately. I wanted to share my morning devotional with you because it felt very powerful: “We see the dignity of the body illustrated in numerous ways throughout Scripture. In John 14, when Jesus promised the coming of the Holy Spirit, he said that it would dwell within our bodies. Paul expanded on this point in 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 when he said, “The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body” (msg). Your body is the dwelling place for the living God. It’s a place of honor, a place that is sacred, a place to tend with care and wonder, as you might care for any sacred dwelling. And, finally, we see the dignity in the body in the fact that Jesus came in a body. Jesus lived in a body. Jesus died in a body. Jesus was resurrected in a body. Too often we gloss over the reality of what that statement means: Jesus was resurrected in a body. His resurrected body bore the wounds of his life as a human on earth (Luke 24:13–32; John 20:19–23). It was the same body, even though it looked a little different. At the ascension, when Jesus returned to heaven, his body went with him (Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9–11). The physical ascension of Jesus suggests that our bodies will still be with us on the other side of this life. Your body is not an inconvenience. It’s not something to put up with until you become a disembodied soul in heaven. Your body matters.
