I travel quite a bit and I love it! ✈️ I designed and manifested my life that way. But it's always hard to say goodbye to my family. I cried at the kitchen island today and all four of us we made a love pile. I'm gonna miss them so much. I'm also missing my daughter's softball game tomorrow. 😭 Life doesn't happen without sacrifices, even when you're living the life that you want and designed. Motherhood and success sometimes can feel like they don't align. But I find that this is the very definition of Motherhood and success for that matter, it's about failing, learning, growing, tears, dreams and a whole lot of love. Props to all the moms out there! I ain’t gonna tell you his life story or where he came from but I will say this, my dad grew up in Jim Crow South. He worked long hours when I was growing up which I hated. But I benefited from in the long run. But he was very focused on making sure the needs of his family were met and often exceeded. All of my siblings and myself have benefited from his work and dedication while he is still here with us and we expect that there will be additional benefit when he leaves us which by God’s grace will be no time soon because he’s in great health. 🙏🏽 He got to spend the start of his 78th year is the company of his children and ALL his grandchildren. Laughing, playing games, listening to oldies, and enjoying some sunshine. When I think about how many people tell me they don’t have good relationships (family or otherwise) when they don’t get to or don’t prioritize what matters most studies suggest they will regret it when they are in their final days. That doesn’t have to be your story. You can be productive AND fulfilled. Btw with the way my Aunts and Uncles are living long lives I pray I have 20 more years of celebrating my dad this way, surrounded by the ones who love you most. În sesiunea de coaching din dimineața asta, prima de după concediu, am avut ocazia să aud și să observ cum clienta mea face această tranziție de la tiparele vechi spre comportamentele noi cu tot mai multă curiozitate și încântare. “Mă simt entuziasmată că îmi pun întrebări. Over the weekend I had the honour and privilege of presenting at My Self Reliance Expo (@myself_reliance) ~ a beautiful community of like minded humans who came together to learn, grow, transform 🚀to make this world a better place to live. 🌍🌱 I talked about how societies expectations and norms created stereotypes and restricted us in many ways to conform to the norms and live our lives to the expectations of others to fit in a perfectly curated box. As a result many of us are wearing masks and hiding our true selves behind the facades to feel protected and pretending to be someone or something we are not. Then we think this is our identity. BS I have done so much inner work on myself in the last decade and continue to heal my woundings from the past and I am on the mission to help others to break free from all the limitations and expectations and the norms that are NOT helping and serving humanity. Let’s live by design and NOT by default. 💯🙌 . Recently, during a coaching session, a client confided feeling overwhelmed and drained. As we delved deeper, he revealed a whirlwind of commitments—work, side projects, and studies—leaving him exhausted. It became evident that he was inadvertently falling back into old habits, saying yes to everything without assessing their true value. In a moment of clarity, I shared a thought that halted our conversation. My client’s immediate reaction was a resounding ‘wow.’ It was a transformative ‘aha moment’ that shifted our dialogue. I remarked, ‘Getting busy without clarity is to wear yourself out.’ Consider this: busyness isn’t the issue—it’s the lack of purpose behind it. Quite recently - in a learning setting, I had a conversation with a partner about self-metaphor. The metaphor could represent what's currently going on in our lives or what we aspire to become. For many years now, my personal metaphor has been a lighthouse (not the guard, by the way). A solitary tower standing in the midst of vast ocean. In the darkest night and the weather, you know, could be stormy. ⚡️⛈️🌩️ The questions that I received were somewhat really, really curious, yet triggered something within me. "Why would you want to be a lighthouse in the middle of the ocean, why not be the lights in the city? There's not much going on there. And ships tend to avoid sailing at night." "How many ships passed by, and how many have you saved?" But... why would the lighthouse care about tallying those? Its purpose is simply to keep its light burning bright. If there's no ships to be saved, that's a really good news! Nobody wants to need a lighthouse when they are desperate or in danger!! But when someone is, a little light from a lighthouse could be that only hope you need. A lighthouse doesn't shine to be used, but to be ready to serve if needed. . #livebydesign #neurolinguisticenneagram

The more we are conforming to these norms, the more we are distancing from our true selves.
