Looking at your own performance, your own heart, will stress you out! Your identity is not defined by the mistakes you make, your true identity is in Christ. When you do fail just know that God never sees you outside of Jesus. Whatever the sin, Jesus took the punishment and judgement you deserve for it at the cross, and gave you the gift of His righteousness. Now the blessing that He deserves flows to and through you. (2 Cor 5:21; Rom 5:17) Stop fearfully expecting judgement from God. God’s not looking at you to judge you, He’s looking at Jesus to judge you. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. (Col 3:3 TPT) So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death.
